Xiaomi Mi 15 Pro! Yes, it's here! And we've noticed one thing after testing it. There are some good things & some not so good things. There are some things that are super duper impressive that are not present in any other phone.

There are one or two such things, but they're there. And something which I'm not very happy about. I'm going to tell you everything, so let's start by unboxing it. It's ordered from China. I don't know if it'll launch in India or not.

Xiaomi Mi 15's younger brother is coming. One more thing, after the launch of the 8th generation, like it's been happening for the past 2-3 years, the first phone launched on the 8th generation was Xiaomi's

Xiaomi 15 series. Xiaomi 15 & 15 Pro. So that's it. Let's open the black box. There are silver letters. Then if I talk about the case, it's a decent case. Documentation & a SIM card tool.

This is the phone! Unboxing. It has a 90W charger. Xiaomi 14 Pro had a 120W charger, but now it's a 90W charger. So it's downgraded. There are some impressive things in the battery, which I'm

going to talk about. USB Type A to Type C charging cable. That's about it, let's keep this aside & let's look at the phone. You know what, I'm getting too used to the round camera module. So this looks good. The camera module is big, but it's

square. And from the flat side, it feels really nice in hand. I like this design. It really looks premium. It's one of the flagships that really looks premium. What's the weight? I'm very curious. Can you believe that this phone has a 6100 mAh battery?

If I talk about the thickness & in-hand feel, it feels like it's a 5000 mAh battery. But no, it's 6100 mAh, so look at the weight. It's full, it feels totally filled inside.

But it must be 208-209g, that's what I think. Let's see. It's 216.1g. Let me tell you something interesting, this phone is 10g lighter than the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

But the battery has increased by at least 1100-1200 mAh. If I talk about the display, it's a micro quad curved display. And I'm very happy, I said the same thing in the previous unboxing. The flagships that are coming now aren't 3D curved.

Because of that, the unintended touches are very less. This is the best of both the worlds. It's flat, which is good for gaming. And you also have that curve to give you that premium-ness. And just like the flagship unboxing, the bezels are nearly

gone. You can't see the side bezels. Even the chin is absolutely very small. I mean, the screen-to-body ratio is above 94%. If I talk about the display, it's a 6.73 inch TCL panel.

The rest use BOE panels, but this is a TCL panel. And there are some good things about it. Firstly, it's a 2K display with an adaptive refresh rate. And that adaptive refresh rate is so good, when you swipe,

touch, open apps, etc. It reduces the refresh rate very smoothly. So you can feel that. Another thing, this display supports Dolby Vision. Yes, it's a 12-bit display, so the colours look good. Display - Full, Big, Thumbs Up.

The peak brightness is at 3200 nits. So it's not like the other flagships which have a peak brightness of 4500-5600 nits. If I talk about its protection, there's something like Ceramic 2.0 & Ceramic Shield in China.

But when it comes to India, maybe it'll be on Gorilla Glass. I'm not too sure. Alright, let's talk about the specs. Obviously, it comes on Qualcomm SD8 Gen 2. Its base variant is 12/256 with LPDDR5X RAM type & UFS 4.0

storage type. It has a 6100 mAh battery, 90W charging & 50W wireless charging. Fast charging has reduced a bit, but the battery capacity has increased. And it's a 3nm processor, so it'll last you easily for

1.5-2 days. It has silicon carbon batteries, which are high density batteries. So that's a very good thing. Let's talk about its performance. We've tested 3-4 phones on SD8 Gen 2 & the AnTuTu score is

2.7, 2.75 & 2.8. But no one has touched 3M. We tested it on 2.52M. We thought it might be a bit hot at 30 degrees, so we kept it in the fridge & tested it.

It was even less hot. I'm not sure about the performance. And if I talk about the vapour cooling chamber, the other flagship phones cost Rs 8-9K. But this has a vapour cooling chamber of Rs 4-4.5K.

I think because of that, they've not been able to tame that beast called SD8 Elite. But you won't know about its regular usage. In fact, I'll say that when you use this phone & get used to it, the smoothness, animations & transitions are

beautiful. And this is because of HyperOS, which is a feature-rich OS. And obviously it's based on Android 13. We don't know about the updates. It's going to launch in mid to end Feb. But that's what it is.

Performance We tested Geekbench as well. And the other one has a multi-core score of Rs 9.5K. This has a score of Rs 8,700-8,800. So it's not giving the performance which is expected out of

SD8 Elite. It's good that it has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. And I think that's a trend. All the pro flagships have ultrasonic sensors, which is a good thing. Rest all have sensors. AI Features It has AI writing features, which I think is inspired by

iOS. And you can take a bunch of photos or videos with it. And you can create a complete video out of it with the help of AI. And it has all the features like Expansion, Eraser, Sky Replace. Camera Unfortunately, the camera is not as good as I

expected. It's a partnership with Leica. You expect a lot from Leica's modes. In 2-3 things, and again this is a Chinese variant. Take it with a pinch of salt. Because when it comes to India, the optimization will be

different. But we didn't see a good dynamic range. I can understand the skin tones. This is more optimized towards Chinese. So I won't talk about that. But the HDR is a hit & miss. There are a lot of photos.

I'm giving you the G-Drive link. There are photos in the original quality. If I talk about the video graphics, it obviously does 4K 60FPS. But it doesn't have the 4K 120FPS mode that I saw in other

flagships. It boils down to 1 reason, thermals. Because when you shoot in 4K 120FPS, will it be able to handle it or not? But yes, the 4K 60FPS that we shot, good results, OIS

stabilization etc. Worked quite well. But I'd like to talk about the thermals. Even in regular usage, it feels slightly warm in the hand. Even if you're doing normal things. But 1 thing is definitely good.

Earlier in the Xiaomi 14 Pro, it used to have a 3.2X telephoto sensor. Now there's a 5X telephoto or periscope sensor. So you can take 5X portraits. There are absolutely no problems.

So that's an upgrade. And remember, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has the same 5X sensor. In telephoto, you can go for 10X, 20X, 30X. So with the help of AI, it brings in the details.

So the zoom photos, they also come out quite good. If I talk about the selfie, you get a 32MP selfie sensor. If I talk about the rear sensors, you get 50MP plus 50MP sensors. And if I talk about the other features,

there's Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, there's an IR blaster too, but it's not on the top. There's a camera module inside, and there's a 3rd microphone too. There's IP68, unlike other phones.

And there's a ceramic shield too. It's in the Chinese variant, but if it comes to India, then it'll be on the Gorilla Glass Victus. So do wait for that video. I've already told you about the wireless charging.

There's 50W wireless charging. So if I sum up the Xiaomi 14 Pro, I liked 2-3 things. 1st is the look. I really like the in-hand feel. How it looks. The display is amazing.

And the best thing is that it has a big battery. It's going to last you really long, that's for sure. If I talk about areas of improvement, then in performance, it definitely needs to give more. The performance of the 8 Elite has to come closer to that.

And the camera is definitely lacking in dynamic range. Everything else is good, but yes, you'll have to work on the dynamic range. But again, this is the Chinese variant. So when it comes to India, it'll be optimized. We'll wait for that.

So do wait for that. If you have any questions, do ask them in the comments. If you have any feedback, do let us know. That's all for this video. Until the next one, Keep Tracking & Stay Safe!
