In the previous video, I gave you four great tips for choosing a camera when traveling. Among the cameras that have recently come out, I have selected the smallest and prettiest cameras within the budget, so I have selected cameras that meet that criteria based on current standards.

Of course, there are more models, but I chose this model based on the criteria of a recently released camera. I will introduce other cameras at another opportunity.

I brought them all, from cheap to expensive, because I didn't know what you'd like. First, for beginners, I'll briefly explain how cameras are divided.

As you all know, cameras are divided into digital cameras and film cameras depending on the shooting method.

And depending on the size and shape, they are classified into compact cameras, mirrorless DSLRs, and medium format cameras. It's a bit like a car, right?

The difference between a DSLR and a mirrorless camera is whether there is a mirror inside the camera or not. Mirrorless cameras are more popular these days because they have more advantages.

And finally, a fixed lens, depending on whether the lens is interchangeable or not. Or they are divided into interchangeable lens cameras.

Do you understand this? So what are the biggest differences between compact cameras and medium format cameras? Of course, the bigger it is, the more expensive it will be.

For example, with film cameras, the size of film that goes into each camera is different. 'The format is the bully.' The larger the film size, the better the resulting image quality.

Likewise, in digital cameras, the image quality and the size of the camera vary.

depending on the size of the sensor that receives light, called the image sensor. But let me just explain the picture quality once and move on.

Of course, physically speaking, a camera with a larger image sensor can be said to have better image quality. But as technology advances, even the smallest image sensors in mobile phones are now producing much better pictures than before.

This is a very old controversy since the film era, but unless the image is printed in a large format for commercial purposes, it is really difficult for the human eye to distinguish the difference in image quality.

Moreover, in today's world where most content is consumed on phones, it has become more difficult to perceive the difference in image quality as much as the difference in camera price.

I personally think that we are past the point where we have to worry about choosing a camera because of the small differences in camera specifications, since the overall image quality has become more standardized.

That's why I told people who aren't into photography to just pick a pretty, small camera.

It doesn't matter whether the photo turns out well or not. You have to take good pictures.

So which of these cameras is best for travel? It's a compact camera, also known as a point-and-shoot, which mainly has non-interchangeable lenses.

And among the small mirrorless cameras, I selected six cameras released in the last two years.

There is no specific order in which I recommend them. Just choose the camera that looks the best within your budget. Of course, I will introduce new products again when they come out.

And since the detailed functions of the camera are a headache, I will just quickly tell you the model name and simple features.

This is the Sony ZV-1 Mark II. It was released in 2023 and costs about 1 million won.

This camera is especially suitable for vlogging and travel photography. Portability and image quality are the same for all cameras, so I'll just say it once.

It weighs 292g. The angle of view is about 18-50mm, covering a wide range from landscape to standard angle.

As expected from Sony, the autofocus function for capturing moving objects is also good, and the video is shot in 4K.

30p slow motion and the shake correction is also good. A wireless external microphone is available, and smartphone connection is also easy. The next model is the Panasonic Lumix DC-S9, released in 2024.

It's a full-frame mirrorless camera, and the body alone, excluding the lens, costs about 2 million won.

The reason I recommend it even though it is a mirrorless camera is because the body is small.

It weighs 403g based on the body and comes in a variety of colors. Dark olives are quite popular. You can use various L mount lenses.

However, this pretty little 26mm prime lens shown in the video only supports manual focus. The video can be shot in up to 6K.

30p time-lapse or slow motion. You can also upload it to social media right away using a color filter called LUT.

Next is the GR3 HDF, which was released recently and is famous for its pretty design as the ultimate snap camera since the film camera era.

It costs 1.8 million won and weighs 257g. It's light, right? It has been newly released with an HDF filter that gives a softer feel.

The angle of view is about 28mm, but with a converter lens, it can be expressed up to 21mm.

There is an 'x' in the name. The attached GR3x HDF model has a field of view of approximately 40mm and powers on in just 0.8 seconds and is capable of close-up shooting.

Smartphones can also be connected, and videos are supported up to FHD 60p.

Next up is the Osmo Pocket 3, a compact gimbal camera that was released in 2024. Among the cameras introduced today, this one is the cheapest at 800,000 won and the lightest at 179g, making it the best for portability.

I recommend this model because the image quality has improved significantly compared to the previous Pocket 2 model. Those who have used the Osmo Mobile, which is used by holding the phone, will know well.

I think it's the best travel device, especially for shooting vlogs or videos stably without shaking.

It's also great for shooting interview videos by connecting two wireless microphones at the same time in 4K 60p.

It is secretly convenient because it tracks your face and keeps focus even when taking pictures. Next up is the most expensive, the Fuji X100VI, at 3.2 million won.

The RF camera design with a classic and retro viewfinder has been popular with every series since it came out, and it was newly released in 2024.

It is a bit heavy at 521g, but you can feel like you are holding an elegant film camera.

There are various film modes, so you can choose the color of the film you want and shoot. You can also shoot at low angles with the LCD.

The angle of view is a fixed lens of about 35mm, making it suitable for travel snapshots. Video can be up to 6K 30p.

Lastly, the compact camera D-LUX 8 from Leica, released in 2024, costs around 2.5 million won.

It has always been released as a twin with Panasonic's Lumix LX series, but this time it was released first. It has a zoom lens equivalent to 24-75mm in 35mm terms and weighs 297g.

Isn't that a really cute external flash? I guarantee you! If you buy this camera, you will be opening your eyes to a world of high-end accessories such as leather cases, straps, grips, etc. I was liberated because I had already been on all these bikes and even a camera bag made of sheepskin when I was little.
