Welcome back to the channel, friends, and to the first episode of this long ride from Sydney to Melbourne and then to a biker's paradise - the Great Ocean Road. If you're new to our channel, I'm Sudhakar, and I do vlogs from Australia, and my friend Geno rides across India and does travelogues there. I'll be riding from Sydney to Melbourne and then all the way to the Great Ocean Road to experience probably the most beautiful coastal road for a motorbike ride. You would love to do this on your motorbike or even a road trip in your car. This will be approximately 3000KMs in a loop, and I'll show you some of the spectacular Australian nature & urban landscapes. I'll break each day ride into a separate episode, and each episode will be unique in its way.

For example, the first day is just a plain highway ride for around 900KMs, a little tiring and long staring at the tarmac, but I would prefer this anytime over staring at my laptop from 9-5. Just kidding, in case if my manager watches this video. Alright, I’ll also share some useful information for international riders, which will be handy while riding here in Australia. And then rest of the days with enjoying these magnificent views... So stay with me on this ride and enjoy STRAYA! [Australia]. I'm all set for this solo ride, one of my favourite routes I've done so far, from the capital of New South Wales - Sydney to possibly the best coastal road in the world - the great ocean road in Victoria. It's time to ditch my computer monitors for a week and just get back on my lovely Ninja for this journey.

I've done this same tour back in 2017 with my KTM, but as bikers know, it's never enough riding, and especially when you ride to such a beautiful destination, the urge only grows stronger to do it again, and you'll never say, I'm not doing that long ride again. Here is the 5-day travel plan. To reach Melbourne on the first day, I took the Hume highway so we can reach the destination in just about 10 hours. This is about a 900KM ride with some small towns on the way, so expect a long day. In my opinion, this is the longest leg of this ride with very less photo opportunity, but takes us close to the great ocean road as fast as possible. But once we're in Melbourne, we can take it easy and slow. I took several detours from the highway to visit some farms like this, and this wind farm along a rest area. There're few villages on the way, and I just go visit as much as I can for a coffee break.

This is one such little place with a Submarine on show. Now I see why it took forever for me to reach Melbourne on the first day. Getting close to Melbourne now. Oh, I totally forgot about this trap that you'll need to be aware of: SPEED CAMERAS. Just my personal opinion that this state - Victoria is too strict about the speed limit and you would want to keep to it, trust me as I've done this trip twice before and had the experience during my second visit. Check out the penalty details online before you pop a wheelie or twist your throttle much, matey. Right there, do you see those buggers! And another set of those here. Cheese! You'll find them everywhere and mind you, no warning signs ahead, just surprise clicks. And there we go! Welcome to Melbourne. I don't care and can happily do this again tomorrow. I'll be staying a little west from Melbourne city so that it'll be easy for us to head towards Great Ocean Road tomorrow early in the morning.
