everybody you know is looking for the magic button. Oh, let me go do this Ayahuasca thing. Let me do this psychedelic. Let me find the right video. Let me find the right Mentor. Let me find the right help and then I'll break through. Let me do a detox. Let me do a digital detox. Let me do a dopamine detox. Oh, let me get my health up. Let me go to this Retreat. Let me go to this Festival. I need better friends. I need blah blah blah blah. They need all this. When are you just going to figure out you need to sit your ass down and work for an hour today, the next day, the next day, the day after that, and keep going? When are you going to realize it's not about these epiphanies, this inspiration, these ideas? It is about grit. Grit is the only thing. It is the number one indicator of success. If you can't figure out this one thing, you will always be behind. My friends, this video is about resistance and your capacity to do one thing consistently. It sounds so simple.

right, but 99% of people can't do it. I have friends, I have clients, you know, I have acquaintances that have big dreams that say, I want to start a YouTube channel, I want to start a business, I want to work on this thing, I want to develop my music craft, I want to do something, and then to do it for a day, maybe they don't even do it for a day, or they get a couple hours in or something, and then where are they? I want to start this video with a David Goggins quote: It's so easy to be great nowadays because everyone else is weak. If you have any mental toughness, if you have any fraction of self-discipline, the ability to not want to do it but still do it, if you can get through doing things that you hate to do, on the other side is greatness. Now, I think this quote holds very true, and it's not even things that you hate to do, it's things that you simply have resistance to doing. So, I'm going to start with this video describing how

resistance manifests itself in our life and tries to fill the space our genius is supposed to occupy. And then I'm going to get into three steps that you can use today to start combating resistance and building consistency in your life. Here's the thing: you cannot consume your way into self-transformation. You cannot consume your way into self-actualization, right? All these things that you think you need are simply your, is simply resistance convincing you to do everything else in the entire world, even if it's positive, to try to get you to not do the thing that is actually going to progress your journey, that is going to progress your development. I started this video off with a rant, and that's because I'm very passionate about this subject, in the sense I know so many people who are constantly lost in their healing journey, in their trauma, and the things that they think they need to do, and all the detoxes they think they need to have, and the therapy. Like, it's all, it's all beautiful, but my friends, if you don't chop wood

and carry water on a daily basis. If you don't till your garden, nothing good is going to grow there. Like getting into writing, so hard, so difficult, so it took so much time to develop a system, to learn about myself, and how I best create, and when I best create, and how to do it, and how to be consistent. I mean, it was a grind to figure it out, my friends, but through that grind, I developed my voice, I developed my style, I figured out who I was. I learned how to endure these tough times, I built a better relationship with resistance. I became more and more unique, more and more individualized, and from this new vantage point, I got to, I could see more of my Dharma, or where I'm supposed to go in this life, what is best for me, unfold. And most people never put in the consistent work it takes to get to a new vantage point, to actually reach a new evolution or transformation in life, my friend. In this video, I'm not even discriminating against good or bad.

habits like meditation versus scrolling on your phone. Going to the gym versus, you know, consuming food, and being in toxic relationships. And, you know, like all these things, you got to realize that all of them can be coping mechanisms for resistance. Most people don't understand this. Most people think like, Oh, like I woke up and I drink water and I went for a walk and I walked the dog and I called my friend and, you know, I did a meditation and I journaled and maybe I saw none and maybe I ran and I did all these things today. They don't realize that they're still avoiding the single thing that's going to move their life forward, their soul's calling. Like, what the are you supposed to do here? It is not walk your dog, clean the house, meditate, and work. Like, I mean work a job. You were supposed to do something. And if you're not putting in an hour a day, just an hour a day of 24 hours, an hour to figuring out and cultivating and evolving that thing.

you're wasting your time. Look at your time. Look at this past year, my friends, and add up every hour you spent doing the thing that you are so that you intuitively know you are meant to do. How many hours, right, my friends? It should add up to more than the fingers on your hand. Every week, every week, you should be putting in that time. And you know this in your soul. But if you're not doing it consistently, all these other things are going to come in to fill the void that your genius is supposed to occupy. And that's the bottom line. But when I work with clients, there's a three-step system that is very effective. And it's been most effective in my life. And it comes down to matcha and work. That's what I call it. You don't need to drink matcha. You could drink whatever kind of tea you would like. But this is how it goes. Is the

night before, you need to get clear on your one thing. My friends, stop being not at the helm of your ship. You need to man your ship, right? And to do that at night, you need to be clear on what is the one thing we're doing in the morning. For me, I knew I was going to wake up and I was going to rework this whole video, right? I'm, it's usually, I'm gonna work, I'm gonna wake up and I'm gonna write on this exact specific section in this chapter and this is the idea is that I want to express there needs to be absolute Clarity. Write it down what you're going to do in the morning, what's your one thing when you wake up. You need to make your life so simple, so simple, my friends. You need to eliminate the things that are occupying the space your Genius is supposed to express through, right? So when you wake up, you get sunlight and you drink water. That's step two, step two, sunlight and water, right? It's so simple, you don't need to do all the crazy

workouts, and you know, morning routines. The most effective morning routine is that which gears you up to do what you are meant to do. Like the meditation, the journaling. Isn't that supposed to gear you up to do the thing, right? Sunlight, drink water. I take a little lap around my porch and backyard here, just kind of gear up, open up to the day. I sit my ass down and I work, and I work for an hour before breakfast, before any call, before my phone, before anything in the entire world. I work for an hour. And this morning routine has changed my entire life, right? Because that first hour, sometimes for many years there, I never even got to it, or I'd spend my whole day fretting over that hour of hard work, right? But if you can do that before any part of the day begins, man, you're gonna get rolling. That's how you can start implementing consistency into your life, and from there it grows. If you can't do an hour, do 40 minutes. Do 40 minutes. Can you write? Can you create? Can you work on

that dream, that non-profit, that business, that thing, right? For 40 minutes every morning. I think you can do it. You need to make it your Chief priority because everything else is trying to distract you from that genius. My friends, three steps: get clear, water, and sunlight, and then hands on the keyboard, get to work for 40 minutes. This grows. This is the morning routine I adopted two years ago to start to help me write this book, and over the next year, I saw that grow from one hour to two hours to three hours to four, five, six hours some days, you know. And generally, my routine currently is to do creative work for at least three hours a day, seven days a week, unless I'm traveling. And guess what? That's why I know I'm going to be successful. I don't say it to brag. I simply say it in the fact that most creatives, most artists I know, what I do in one day, they do in maybe a month. What they do in years takes me a month, right? And it's not like

I it's not like saying, like, oh, I outwork everybody. That's not true, but I am consistent, and I work hard. And in so far in my life, that has been everything. That is the thing that leads you to a whole new Vantage points, whole new levels of success. Is can you do it consistently, my friends? Find your thing, take those three steps, kick some ass.
