Back down on the boat, I was asked to come under those scooters. I paid about $700 for this. I got it for on a Black Friday deal. No, it wasn't a Black Friday deal. I knew

It was a holiday deal, but a little bit after the holidays, I also found out how to enable cruise control on this thing. So, look, no hands. HNT with a 5 super chat. Thank you, HNT. Appreciate it very much. Feels like I could even make this camera position a little bit higher. Let me do that. There we go. I think that works better. It's interesting how the economy mode on cruise control goes a max of nine miles an hour, and if you just hold the throttle down, it's eight miles an hour. You can even still smell the green paint on this, but it makes perfect sense right next to CrossFit Park. This was always a busy um busy street here [Music]. find me somewhere within New York City. I've covered most of the city already, save for a few outer parts of the city and most of Staten Island, and I'm still covering parts of Staten Island. Anyway, man, Vanderbilt Ave is pretty busy right now. I remember last time I came here, this whole area was closed off for the open streets program, but now there's a lot of cars. Why does this car have their hazards on? That's something that gets me a little concerned. Let's give them plenty of space. Are they going to open their door? Let's look over to the left. There's a car coming. Mizzy, am I headed back to Fire Island this summer? No, I don't think I'll make my way back there, but it is an idea. Fire Island is a pretty nice place. I rode my scooter down to the garden too, and uh, I caught some dicey moments on camera, including a woman who walked into the bike lane with her head on her phone. I gave her a hello also [Music] jeez, what the man. BMW driver E74 NJY. No need to pass that close. Where'd it get him? What the hell. Get in your lane. Yeah, caught up to him. Red light. Thanks a lot. Give me more space next time. Thank you. They're gonna kill someone now. I hope this person doesn't have retaliatory road rage because that's what happens sometimes. He's like, let me show who's most superior. Let me pass him again so close. Do it again.

Well, the difference there is that I know I could cut in front of them without hitting them. Meanwhile, this BMW driver just gave me that much space. It is a social norm to go past red light stop signs on slow-moving methods of transportation, as long as you don't hit anyone or yourself. That's the way it is here. [Music] Yeah, Laura's saying it's a nice neighborhood. It is a very nice neighborhood. We're near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Grand Link. You'll be yelling and cursing for 10 minutes. You know, um, me going on YouTube and putting a lot of these bike videos and scooter videos too is also from my own safety, so I can

raise more awareness of what not to do, like that BMW driver, or all those - well, not all, but a lot of those things that happen in my cycling incidents compilation videos that have gone viral. I'm definitely going to have enough footage to make another one, but I have to comb through all the different situations and put them up. Foreign, like here, going through a red light and passing behind them. That is socially acceptable, not like cutting in front of them when they're going to be right in your path. Just skating, saying it's so quiet in this neighborhood. It really is until you get here. It's a Myrtle Avenue. This is the main street here, flex stream. Do I need insurance if I get into an accident? No. New York, New York State is a no-fault state, and what that means is if you get into an accident, then the medical insurance will cover whoever is not at fault. Their car insurance will cover it. As long as you're watching, supporting the channel, it's the thought that counts. So [Music] that cyclist also had the same mirror I have. [Applause] Foreign wonder how the EMT is going to get through there. Oh, that's it doing the best they can to cope with the traffic making a left on Williamsburg streets. So, um, last time I went up Kent Avenue and I missed most of the Hasidic Jewish

portion of Williamsburg, but today I'm going to go over there down to Bedford Avenue. So, still can't make a right on any of these streets. I think I'm gonna have to do it up there. Is that my daddy? Let's see, I can make a ride on Keep Street and then head over to Bedford Avenue. Let me let this drive it through. So, Michael's saying Bedford Avenue pizza sounds good to me. Let's make a right here. You know what? I think the only way to get to Bedford Avenue proper from here is to go underneath the overpass. Hey, someone from up there on Wythe Avenue yelled out to me. Sounded like a little kid. Say, Hey, Action Kid. Okay, here we go. This is definitely a Hasidic Williamsburg now. You know what? Maybe I'll go down a block and then make a left. Will be safer. I'm going to make a left here on Rutledge Street. Eugene's saying there's a Bedford in England as well. Very nice.

once in a while, my live stream, my phone gets delayed, so I have to scrub through it to the end and make it catch up. It's a different type side of New York that many people don't see over here. [Music] I read a stat saying that outside of Israel itself, the most Jewish people, they live in here, Brooklyn, New York, and it's pretty incredible. [Music] Right. [Music] Yeah, what's up, move. That was the most New York thing I have encountered today. Tell the sky to move. I mean, it's true. The driver was just sitting there at the green light, not moving. One time, I was on a public bus, and it was making a right turn onto one of these streets here in South Williamsburg, and the bus couldn't complete its turn because there was a parked car right on the corner, and the bus couldn't do it, so I had to wait like five minutes for the person to come out of the synagogue in order to move their car, and that's

when the bus was able to move. I mean, it can be quite frustrating, and the bus driver was not pleased at all. All right, I gotta speed this up. This is not a good speed to be going at up the hill here. I'm just going to stay behind these cars so they make the left turn. You also got to be careful too of these school buses. They're really aggressive here, but they have to be in order to navigate these small streets and the pick and drop off kids here. Also, it's important when the school bus has a stop sign on both sides of the street. Need to stop even if I'm over here. [Music] All right, Google saying it must take years of experience to drive the buses through these streets. Yes, for sure. Yeah, Grand Link. This is still the Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, whatever. There's no place like New York. While they're doing construction on the Williamsburg Bridge, man, that thing is going fast. Actually, that shouldn't even be here. So, I thought it would be pretty calm on this bridge, but there's tons of cyclists right now. More than ever seen in a while. It's good to see too. All right, I don't need to go that fast.

[Music] This person is cycling up an electric bike while reading his phone. I wouldn't recommend doing that. All right, we're in Manhattan now, East Village. That was quick. Diane cars, you want to say hi to me? Hello. Just gaming asking if I've been to the Coney Island amusement park. Not this season, but I've been there before. East Village, a lot of people out here.

It's my first time in Manhattan. All day we're all weak, even no way um. I did have to come back to Manhattan and um. Yesterday, no wait, I was in Manhattan earlier this week. What am I saying? It just feels like longer up share the road time. Okay, why are all these cars parked in the bikeway? That's what I don't get man. East Village is hopping at night and it's Thursday night. It's not even the weekend. Damn, that's nice. Oh thanks man, nice wheels man. [Music] is right Houston Street. We gotta cross this now. [Music] [Music] Here's East Second Streets. I think um let's turn into Avenue A now. Oh no, there's Avenue B. What happened up here? Ambulance and a New York City police car. So the reason why I paused because over there that's what's going on. The police and also um there's a stretcher on that side of the street. Yeah Danielle, this is Manhattan now, the East Village.

Cynthia asking how many miles can I travel on a full charge. Um, depends on the conditions, but my normal usage that I get out of this is around, is around, um, 25 miles. I'd say it's rated up to 40 miles range, but that's if you're going on the slowest mode like I am. Let's make a left here. This is Tompkins Square Park. The mode I use the most is, uh, sport mode, the one that goes 18 miles an hour. But it's not necessary for me to go so fast on a live stream like this where I want to explore Manhattan and take in the sights and sounds. Either way, even the slowest mole is a lot faster than walking around. Oh man, there was a dead rat there smooshed into the surface of the ground. Here's Avenue A. Actually, a pretty good idea to do a normal recorded video here, but there just isn't enough time to do everything. This area will be a lot more lively on a weekend, so very active on these streets.

Whole Foods, First Avenue. Let's make a right here. Haven't been up First to have in a while. On my regular walking videos, I've been sticking to like midtown and Chinatown, Greenwich Village, but haven't done the First Avenue route in a while. I should do Central Park. I've covered Central Park before, a lot more on the live streams. Someone just left a big mattress there next to the garbage man. It is so busy in the city. Iggy's Pizzeria. notorious people who would want to do that, but that's not for me. I don't want to end up in jail or look bad on camera. Yeah, Freddie saying there's less traffic in Manhattan than Brooklyn today. Brooklyn was pretty busy, especially on Bedford Avenue and Vanderbilt as well. That looked good, man. That dish at the mac and cheese place, it smelled really good. Let's make a left on 13th towards the west side because that's the extent of the East Village pretty much. Oh, the mac and cheese place is great. Yeah, I like places like that, but I can't eat there all the time. My body also can't process cheese as well as it once did, so I eat cheese sparingly. [Music] Okay. Let's see what's going on. David Moon is a good idea like the scooter. It's good for me, yes. As far as I know, I'm one of the few New York City live streamers to ride scooters around. That one was pretty smooth. I got through the crosswalk without any kind of trouble. [Music] Union Square looking lively tonight. Oh, oh, I guess right now almost the start of summer. I know many colleges, they had their graduation ceremonies already. NYU, Columbia, Parsons School, I think might have even had it too. So many of these young people are out now celebrating. miles, but in my reality, it usually gets around 25 miles the way I use it. [Music] All right, I'm going to make a ride on Sixth Ave. Let me make my way over to the bike lane. Let's steer around this car so I'm not in its turning path. Yeah, Superman, that's true. Over time, the scooter loses charge, so it's even less. That's what happens with lithium-ion batteries. [Music] Unfortunately, also temperatures play a big role too. Over here looks like Midtown is coming back. A lot of people walking around. Soon we're going to be entering like Herald Square area, Rockefeller Center. We'll see how that's doing. And we got a bike lane all the way through. Haven't taken the Sixth Avenue bike lane a while. Rupert are asking if most of the stores are open. Yes, I see most of the stores open now. Stoney TMT is from Park Slope, Brooklyn. Awesome. Just came from there. And this cyclist is riding the wrong way. So mesmerizing seeing all these people and tall buildings around Toronto. Guys saying scooter looks faster than transit. It is. I got to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden from Astoria, Queens in like maybe 50 minutes. If I were to take public transportation, it would take over an hour. All right, I guess my scooter can't handle the hill over here, but probably handle this one. That's the problem with these scooters. They have a set throughput, and if it doesn't make it, then you have to change the mode or just push it through. [Music] My first nice of that driver to wait for me. g said, I ran another red light. Yes, I do run red lights, as well as many of these people here. If you do so in a safe manner, it's socially acceptable. And also, the police, they don't normally ticket people doing that. Wow, this spot is hopping, La Amico or La Mico on 30th Street and 6th Ave. Now we're entering a busy section of Manhattan, Herald Square area and Greeley Square. See if this driver will yield to me. [Music] Maybe, man, this area is busy now. Okay, I have to defend those pedestrians there because that DoorDash driver didn't have the right of way and had a red light, so they were being a bully. What in the world is that their version of a horn? All right, two-way bike lane here. [Music] Gosh, man, Macy's is so busy. All right, we gotta stop by this pedestrian plaza and check it out. I want to just pause here. Let me do so safely. Okay, I want you all to see this.

I found, um, I find it all right. Let me cross over the street here and get back in the bike lane, and we'll continue to walk on Sixth Avenue for a ride on 6th Avenue rather. [Music] someone asked if i should go to times square. no i don't think i'll go there today. you know what let's go there. i'll make a left here in 49. it's only a block away. we'll head over to times square. we're gonna have to deal with some traffic though. it's gonna be interesting to weave through. oh glad i brought my scooter to get past all this traffic.
