Hello, this is Jesun from Ahnsim Factory. Today, I'm showing you how to make a 'Duck Tube and Sweet B'.

All the models on my channel are made using the iPad app 'Nomad Sculpt'. I use it for more than just modeling,

and I'll share more about that later! This time, I'm making this for myself,

so I experimented a lot.  As a result, I made a lot of mistakes.

Please enjoy watching! After modeling, you need to prepare the model for printing.

I'm trying water-washable resin for the first time. I filmed the whole process.

Many people worry about the strong smell and harmful chemicals in toy-making, and I'm sensitive to smells too,

so I'm gradually switching to safer materials. (Here I am, not even wearing gloves… feeling a bit sheepish)

Many people have asked about my 3D printer. I bought it about 3 years ago, and it's discontinued now.

It was Anycubic's Photon Mono, the basic model. It was 2K resolution... now you can get 14K models. (K refers to resolution)

Technology is amazing! Haha... I couldn't keep up, so I sped up the video 4x.

Aghhhhhhh!! The print is complete. After printing, you need to clean the excess resin with IPA,

but it has a strong smell and is harmful. This resin is water-washable, and after washing, I cure it normally.

Since it's my first time, I messed up the cleaning and it's blotchy.

I can't believe it's real... Time for a quick fix. This part got stuck during assembly.

I should have checked it in the final stage, but I was too hasty. After fixing the caught part,

I created the output file and printed only the duct tube. Again, after washing, I cured it.

The one on the right is the previous print, and the one on the left is the current one.

This time, the washing was successful. It turned out much cleaner than before. Haha! Stiff… but at this point, I had no intention of painting it.

As long as it fits, I'm good!! said my past self. I was excited to have two tubes

and even tried putting in another bear. About three months later… I decided to finish it for a YouTube video.

To finish it, I sanded it down. Using wet sandpaper reduces dust, which is nice.

I changed the sandpaper and continued sanding thoroughly in order. I can tell the level of sanding just by the sound at this point.

I also cleaned up the bumpy support spots left on the print. When I make a copy, I sand very carefully,

but since this is for me, I did it roughly 😆 This should do. To be honest, you shouldn't fix it like this,

but instead make it stable so it doesn't show. The theme of this project is "just get it done."

I did a base coat for the first layer and checked for missing spots before doing 2-3 more coats.

I'm nervous it might fall off. I'm using acrylic paint, so there's almost no smell.

However, maintaining the airbrush is very difficult, and foreign particles sometimes get mixed in. So there are many things to be cautious of while painting.

It has its pros and cons. I painted the overall surface with an airbrush and used a brush for the smaller details.

I have to paint it multiple times. I also tested a new acrylic paint this time, and it seemed good, so I'm going to use it some more.

I'm painting the eyes now, but as a newbie YouTuber, I often forget the camera while focusing.

Ta-da! I'll paint the duck's eyes the same way. Somehow, it feels like I just took off my glasses...

I'll make the eyes a bit bigger. I was listening to music with earphones, but the sound was all captured by the camera.

(Is my eardrum okay?) Once all the painting is done, I use pastels for additional touches.

Using a brush, I add blush and shadows for more detail.  For the duck's beak, I add natural shading and blush too.

I was a bit surprised when it clumped up. I use a smaller brush for more detail.

For the final touch, I add texture with colored pencils. I should have used an orange colored pencil, but I didn't have one, so I used red instead.

I applied it lightly so it wouldn't be too strong. Finally, I apply the topcoat.

There are three types: semi-gloss, gloss, and matte. Sweet B is first coated with semi-gloss,

then finished with a matte coat. Mr. Duck is coated with glossy varnish to make him shiny.

While drying, I started cleaning my desk, and disaster struck. I hadn't closed the lid properly, and the acrylic paint I just bought spilled everywhere.

Disaster number two. I was worried, and as expected, the paint on the leg chipped off.

But it's okay. I can do it again. (I wasn't stressed at all) And it's complete!!!!!

Hehehe! I'll put it in the display case. The happiness of being able to create a character that was in my head instantly.
