but it's that managing of the expectation not from the standpoint of you don't want pressure to be a leader where you don't want pressure to be in a relationship but from the standpoint of we're all human we're all imperfect well go to lay each other's down Walter lay each other down look when you put somebody on a pedestal boyfriend girlfriend or anything in between you are you are building that relationship on an extreme unhealthy pedestal and it will tip over and that person will separate themselves from you because they they don't they people barely have enough emotional energy to sustain themselves in this world and when they have to carry themselves and you you're gonna bail they're gonna bail because it's just too much you know it could barely keep themselves happy now they got to keep you happy a little time and then again and it's just a matter of time before they move on and before you get let down and it's unhealthy behavior on both parties parts if they continue and from the other standpoint if it's if

It would be beauty anything, but I also shared them, but I don't put anybody in a pestle. So, you know, if you let me down, or if I let you know, it's, you know, it is what it is. And I'm gonna, you know, Nemean evaluate fairly, and I'll make my own decisions. I'll think for myself, even if you inspire me, but we disagree on something. I'm not going to be disrespectful, but I'm still gonna think for myself, and that's key. And that's key. If you can do that, receive the good from that person, but know they're human and they're going to fail. Let go of the bad. Think for yourself and be yourself. Be yourself. Don't put anyone on the PESTEL. Stay inspired.

I'm going to share today is don't put anyone on a pedestal in my life. In my experience, the two areas that I failed with this principle is with the relationship with a woman. I put her on a pedestal, and I don't want to say with any one specific pastor or leader, but just of somebody who inspired me, a mentor, and I don't even know a specific thing, but I would just say putting a pastor or putting a leader or putting a boss or putting somebody in business, putting somebody that inspires you on a pedestal. You know, in those two areas, I failed on the first with the lover. For me, obviously, as I was a little girl on and nothing crazy, but I do want to share it because I think it's helpful to share for myself, another. So, you know, just in the beginning of dating, just getting overwhelmed by emotion and really liking the person, attracted to them, and just, you know, there's no one, just when there's just something about a person, so I got to be with this person.

because we're all human. When that person lets you down, wherever you put on a pedestal, there's a resentment because then you feel like all the blind following that you did, you just blindly followed that person and praised them. You feel like you were manipulated, and you know, and now you resent that person. But you have to take accountability for your own unhealthy actions and placing that person on a pedestal. Don't blame them. And even though sometimes they may even deserve it because some people take advantage of it, and that's what I'm sharing this message. I have failed in this area with a girl in a relationship and then also just with different people that inspired me. I don't look down upon. I'm not mad at them, but this was some of these are some of my mistakes that I believe most people go through. And that's why now when I meet somebody that inspires me, I honor them, and I make sure I go out of my way to communicate, you know, your inspiration to me, whether it's from a leadership standpoint or whatever.

it's just a putting of somebody on a pedestal from a standpoint of a business leader or pastor or something of that nature. Is that, you know, that's also how, um, you know, cults form, you know, because basically what you're doing. We put some money on a pedestal. You're saying this person is so much better than me. There's so much better than me that you don't think for yourself. And when you don't think for yourself, you put somebody else up here. You follow them blindly. Dangerous. And that's how Colts have happened. That's how tragedies have happened. And that's how you get led astray. That's how you get manipulated financially, emotionally, and everything in between. Think for yourself. Be fair in your evaluation, meaning everyone's human. No one's better than you. Don't care how hot they look. I don't care how smart they are. I don't care how inspirational er. I don't care. Now, somebody may inspire you to change your life. That doesn't mean you should put them on a pedestal.

somebody means may have inspired you romantically and just got you out of the dumps. That doesn't mean you put them on a pedestal. Think for yourself, believe in yourself, fairly evaluate, say okay, this person really blessed me at a certain point in my life. They inspired me, whether it was in a relationship, whether it was in a business setting. They inspired me, and I can take that inspiration, I can take that good, I can honor them, I can thank them, but I don't have to put them on a pedestal. And when they let me down, or when they do something I don't agree with, because that's the other thing that happens, right? You put somebody on a pedestal, and then eventually you disagree on something, which something's not going to go right, you misinterpret a sum, and then it ends badly because there's too much resentment. That's the other thing that happens when you put somebody on a pedestal. Eventually, when it does, because it will

what you're doing when you're saying, I got to be this is the right person. I no, no, no, no. What you're doing is you're building them up on this pedestal, and that's a dangerous thing. And they know what the other person knows it immediately, and that also begins them retreating from you. And here's why. Because when you do that, you are taking a human being, and a human being is a person who makes mistakes, who fails, who lets people down. You're taking that imperfect being and you're exalting them to the point of on a pedestal, basically meaning you're making a statue, you're making an idol, you're making that somebody, you know, a god. You're saying this person is perfect, you know, put them on a pedestal, let everybody, you know, worship them, and let everybody come by and praise on them. You know, they separate from you immediately when you do that because they know they're going to fail you. It's just a matter of time, and some let you know

some people just don't like, you know, that unbalance. Again, I talked about that in passing. When something is too unbalanced, it's good and quickly and fast and hard, but also from your own well-being perspective, you're being unfair. You know, you're being unfair to that person because that person doesn't deserve all that pressure. You know, and they immediately feel that pressure to be perfect, to be your everything, to be all your joy, to be all your excitement, to be all your inspiration, whether it's a girl, girlfriend, boyfriend, whether it's a pastor, whether it's a business leader, whether it's a mentor, whether it's someone you respect. Doesn't matter. I'm just talking about both in one. When you put somebody on a pedestal, they feel that pressure to be perfect, and they immediately push back. They immediately separate themselves because they know they're going to fail you, and they immediately, you know, look down upon you because they say, Oh my God, this person's, um, you know, they appreciate the

admiration, but they say to themselves, This person's a sucker, and it doesn't matter if it's somebody you're dating or if it's somebody in business, a mentor. They say, Man, if I could put the blinders over this person that quick, what else will they fall for in life? You're not that bright. And it's just a needle. Again, you have to be fair because you think about everybody's been on both sides of this fence for the most part. I know I've certainly been there where somebody has, you know, immediately put me on a pedestal, whether it's personal or business. But I've always, I've learned as I matured, I manage expectations. I say, Look, don't put me on a pedestal. I'm imperfect. I don't try to let people down. I try to go out of my way to not let people down, but I don't do that to the point where I'm unfair to myself. Um, and I tell somebody, If I'm not interested, I tell somebody, If I'm not interested as far as a relationship, but

DON'T put ANYONE on a PEDESTAL!!!
