I can't believe I'm making this video, but credit where credit is due. I played Diablo I on launch. I love the story but hated the gameplay, so I bounced. I tried again when season 1 launched, but it just didn't scratch my malignant tunnel, so I bounced. I gave it another shot in season 2, but it just wasn't any bloody fun, so I bounced. I left back in in season 3, but just couldn't get over how powerful that little scorpion robot was, so I bounced again. Then I decided to give season 4 another honest shot, and I got farther in that season than I ever had in any other prior experience with the Alo 4. It was fun, and I gave it a shot, so I'm going to give season 5 a shot too, my fellow Exiles and heroes of sanctuary. You might be asking yourself a very simple question right now: why I am the dude who crapped on Diablo 4 incessantly for like a year. I have like 16 YouTube videos comparing D4 and of

Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2. Even though that game hasn't even come out yet, why would I be playing Diablo I? Well, the answer is pretty simple. I had fun, and if I have fun in your game, then I'll play your game. If I don't have fun in your game, then I'm going to talk about why I didn't have fun and why I have fun in other games. But if I really want to distill down the true reasons why I'm trying Diablo 4 yet again in season 5, well, I could break it down in the following way: one, hell returns; two, big risks; three, active listening; and four, I just need to play it. Okay, let's start off with hell returns. Everyone who's played Diablo I knows that you're going to hell at the end of The Campaign, and it is dope. I love going into hell. It is the coolest aesthetically pleasing place in the entirety of D4, and that Sayang something because the terrains are beautiful. Sometimes they get a bit syy, but they

are beautifully rendered, and when you go into hell, ooh, it just oozes atmosphere. It's quite the terrifying and wicked part of the game, but you're only in it for a little bit. And ever since then, you haven't really gone into hell. Sure, you could classify the pit as some form of hell, and sure, some of the dungeons look a little H, but this is the first time where hell is really breaking back into the world. And they're reusing that terrain set, and even though it's super simple, it's awesome. And that's what they're going for with Diablo 4, right? Simple but awesome. So, I'm very surprised it's took them this long to reuse that card. Just pull it out. They should have pulled it out earlier. Going to hell is an easy win, at least in season 5, the Prelude season to their big expansion, The Vessel of Hatred or The Basket of Hatred. It's coming back, so that's a win. And I can't wait to try and see hell throughout the world once more. And no

the hell Tides don't count. Stop trying to make the hell Tides count as hell. That's not hell. It's not hell. Stop it, Blizzard. Stop it. Reason number two, they are taking some big risks in this season with the complete overhaul of all these different uniques, with the wild Buffs that they're getting, various characters with the season mechanic, which is obviously divisive. You should have seen how the PTR feedback went. Oh my goodness, people were pretty fired up about that. But just the fact that they're taking this big risk here is exciting. And I also like the fact that they're taking a big risk with the spirit born class, which is coming out after this season 2. And I think some of that residue is hyping me up for season 5, and it's actually going to pull me away from Path of Exile's latest expansion 3.25, which is but a second. It's still ongoing. I don't have all my challenges yet. Do should do I do I play season five? I mean, no, no, I will.

I'm going to play season 5. I'm gonna play season 5. This isn't a fake video. I'm going to play it. I'm gonna give Blizzard a chance. Although I might bounce back to Path of Exile's Settlers of Kelgar expansion. Maybe I'll play both. You can play both. Wait. One second. I'm just getting up. Oh, Chris. Yeah, Chris. No, of course I'm going to play Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2. No, I'm just going to try out Diablo 4 again. Yeah, I know. I'm giving it a seventh chance. Yeah, well, I would give Path of Exile multiple chances. Just like Diablo 4. Don't worry about it. Yeah, I'm in the middle of a video. Okay, definitely. Okay, all right. Bye. Sorry about that. Sorry about that. Let's move on to the next part, please. And that's number three, active listening. Blizzard simply is finally.

listening to the community, okay, and that's wonderful. They did in last season 2, which is great, and that's probably why I played longer. They made a lot of big changes to the game that made it better, such as hell ties, such as a little bit of the balance stuff. Now, with this season, they're continuing to listen to the community, and that's awesome. That's what I like to see in my developers, you know. I come from Path of Exile primarily, and those developers constantly listen to their Community, except on very certain topics where they keep a hard stance for years and years and years and eventually break down after hundreds of thousands of people tell them to change their opinion. Yes, I'm talking about the auction house right now, but most of the time they keep a hard stance on the topics that matter, and they are swayed in the topics that really should be changed as seen by the community. And it looks like Blizzard is now doing that too with Diablo 4, maybe it's turning it back into a Diablo 3 Style game. I didn't

play a lot of Diablo I, so I don't truly know a lot of people are saying that, but it seems to be what the community is truly looking for, and I hope with season 4, with season 5, and then with a vessel of hatred that just continues to go on, maybe it will draw me in. Maybe that's the type of game that I really want to play. Maybe I missed out with Diablo II not playing it. We'll have to see. I'll see if I enjoy season 5 as much as I enjoyed my time in season 4. And then my little last part here, this is just for me. I play a lot of Path of Exile. I played Last Epoch. I need to play Diablo 4. I need to play the other big titan in the market right now. I am a creator for args. I need to be able to play them and be able to compare them accurately. I don't want to be pulling numbers out of my butt, you know. I want to be able to say, Yeah, I played this.

Whatever I want to be a domain knowledge expert on all of these games, so I really need to give Diablo 4 an honest shot. And really, this gets into my conclusive point, everyone, because even though Chris tried to tell me, you know, I can't. I got given him Diablo 4 a lot of chances here, even though he tried to tell me that. I want to tell all of you, including the people who have left terrible comments about Diablo 4 and my comments in the past, if the game improves, if Blizzard, even Blizzard, improves the game, we should still give it a chance. And to those people who have fun playing it, don't disparage them, there's no need to send hate their way. Same with Diablo players and Path of Exile players. We should all just get along as a community. This is awesome that we have so many ARPG games.

this caliber out right now with last deoch with Path of Exile with Path of Exile 2 on the way, and Diablo 4 is making its way up there. I don't even think last Epoch is near Pue right now. It's starting to get some traction, as with Diablo 4, and as that happens, we should just continue encouraging that growth here, everybody. We don't need to fight each other, like we've said so many times, like I've said so many times. A rising tide lifts All Ships, so we should hope that Diablo 4 continues to improve so it pushes the envelope with grinding your games and 11th Hour games and anyone else who decides to make an arpg. It's a good thing. It's only a good thing. So the better D4 is and the more people that enjoy it, the more people who will end up enjoying our hobby as a whole, and I'm all here for it.
