Philip Green, and I'm going to be your peer tutor for today's clinical session. Um, today we're going to be learning about the abdomen. So, can I have just a quick run of the names? Um, Emily, Brilliant, Martha Stallings, Sally, Jaden, Judah, Cheetah. Right, okay, good. Um, thank you very much, Emily, for uh, volunteering to have your abdomen examined by us. Um, I'm going to begin off by just listing a couple of the learning objectives that you should be able to know by the end of this session, right? So, you're basically going to be able to know how to call a full abdominal examination, to identify some of the surface anatomy of the abdomen, and also lastly, the relevance of an abdominal examination, and how clinicians and physicians can use this to identify underlying gastrointestinal diseases. Okay, so firstly, can we just brainstorm um, a little bit about the procedure of performing an abdominal examination, and what it actually involves? So, does anybody have any, yes, you fully introduce yourself to the

patient class introduction excellent okay is anybody else um general inspection of the patient right general inspection wash your hands hand washing very important good does anybody else have anything to have she said do you have anything okay right well let's move on um next we're going to be looking at some of this hand signs that could signify any underlining gastro-intestinal diseases so does anybody have any ideas about what some of these might be you seem good excellent good luck here okay good contractions excellent treatment good liver flat little flap right okay and then you've got club as well excellent color good um peter do you have anything to add to that no nothing at all right okay um right well let's move on you
