Hello folks. Today is March 14, 2020. Fifty-two degrees Fahrenheit, 11 degrees Celsius. I'm in Harlem in Manhattan, and today I'm going to walk from Harlem all the way to Astoria, Queens. So, I'm at the intersection of Frederick Douglas Boulevard and 116th Street. Let's take a look and see how Harlem is dealing with everything. Jack, this is live. Hello, going to Harlem right now. I was in Central Park, and it didn't really seem like a damper on anyone's mood. People were enjoying the day, enjoying their time at the park and at the Hudson River. I was in the Hudson River.

Metro-North is the commuter rail service that runs between Grand Central Terminal and other parts to upstate New York and Connecticut. I'm going to walk over a bridge today that I have not walked over in many videos. It's the RFK Triborough Bridge. [Music] Okay, it sounds like driving is as usual in New York City. People gonna be mean, ain't gonna be safe, buddy. Well, what happened at the beginning of this lashing was the first time that I got publicly called out for being ignorant. I'm not wearing a mask. Was we a mass dude? That was the first time in public. What I have gotten a lot of racist YouTube comments. They said like, Oh, like how come Chinese people are

allowed to use white public transportation. I'm like, I just deleted that comment and banned that user. It's like, that's totally not necessary, but I don't like to talk about that kind of stuff on this channel. But when things get serious, I call them out on it. But you can still enjoy a lot of other things in the city, like visit some of the local neighborhoods and go to some of the other lesser-known areas of the city. It doesn't have to be Manhattan. Vic Lau says, The Statue of Liberty is closed down. Wow, you know, I was planning to go there. I didn't say this to anyone, but I had tickets to go to the Statue of Liberty on the weekend of March. had tickets to go to the Statue of Liberty, so I need to check up on that to see if I'm able to even go to the Statue of Liberty at that time. Alright, I'm a second and 1/16. Right now, my mission is to try and see New York City before anything kind of major happens, any kind of major outbreak.

That I'm not sure, but I assume from this area that it isn't really a nice sidewalk to be walking on anyway. It's right next to a highway. The reason why there's a confusion there is because they used to be two separate islands, and then when Robert Moses, the architect and master planner of New York City, connected the bridges and brought traffic over to Randall's Island and Ward's Island, they joined it in with landfill. So now it's one island. So you're correct in that it can be either Randall's Island or Ward's Island or the combined name Randall's Ward's Island. So what do we got here, man? The box. Okay, here's where I think I may use my light. It's definitely warranted. Look at that, huh? World of difference when the city doesn't provide enough light. I provide my own. This, I definitely need a light because there's no lamps on this area. Yeah, this is the Phoenix PD 36AR, which is

splashing the water there. Love this light here. This is a rechargeable flashlight, flashlight torch, same kind of thing. This light has served me so well. It helped me save someone's life in the subway station. It helped me when I was up in Taiwan, hiking down Teapot Mountain, and there were no lights going down. I used the light. And also in the Bronx on Fordham Road when there was a lot of car traffic. I shined the light behind me. You wanna tell the story of saving someone's life? Okay, well, I was waiting for the train, and I see a lady. She falls onto the tracks. Looks like she stumbled, like she's drunk. And I was carrying all my belongings. I didn't care, and I like dropped them all and ran over there. So what's going on? And I took out my flashlight, turned it on, and then shone it into the tunnel and waved it back and forth so that if there was a train coming, then the train operator would be alert, and hopefully the train would stop in

time, but yeah, that's the story of how I saved someone's life. Whoa, no more pavement here, it's all dirt. Alright, I'm walking on dirt now. How much is the flashlight? The last time I checked on Amazon, it was like 80 or 90 bucks, but it's worth it, especially because it's USBC rechargeable. I can also use this flashlight for self-defense too if I wanted to. You hold it, it's got the strobe mode. Yeah, no breakfast thing. I got yelled at in Central Park for using my light. That was scary. David Clipper with two bucks. Thank you so much, man. That's their official rules anyway. [Applause] I know it is strange that there's no fancier and this is like one of the most dangerous bodies of water in all of New York City. It's called the hell gate cyclists coming New York City at night folks.
