Hey everybody, Ronway here, and ultimatum has been a pretty neat mechanic from the moment when it was introduced. It went through some changes over the years, but even after the whole farming landscape got changed in 3.25 because of the Scarab shifts, ultimatum can still take a place as one of the most profitable mechanics ever if done right. So, there's a lot of ways you can farm it and many things that are not that obvious but will increase your profit if you know what to look out for. In this video, I will share everything that you need to know about this mechanic, and I'll cover various strategies that you could use to get richer while running ultimatum as a main or supportive mechanic. This video is in-depth as usual, so check out the timestamps for any particular topics and questions, and let's go. So, what is ultimatum? Long story short, a normal ultimatum encounter in maps has a total of 10 stages that can be increased to 13 with some ATL three.

passives where you will need to complete the objectives: protect Alar Rive, kill enemies, or stand in the circles during the encounter. You will also get PS and offer a choice to either progress, get more rewards, and make the encounter harder, or take what you already want and bail. So how can we profit from ultimatum while doing ultimatums? Most of our profit should come from one of two big pillars: catalysts or inscribed ultimatums, which exactly will depend on the strategy that we are using. But I'm going to showcase ST for both approaches later in this video. There's also some variety loot, including currency options such as divines, but those two are going to make ultimatum worth your while if you're not using scarabs. Catalyst always appear on waves four and eight, while inscribed ultimatums and good currency usually can appear after wave eight. So it's pretty important that you will be able to push the ultimatum encounter further. Talking about profitable Catalyst, the situation with them is pretty simple. Most of the

catalysts currently have a pretty low cost, but you will drop a lot of them, and it will be compensated with quantity over quality. Some of them are still rare and can bring more profit, which is mostly Prismatic and Fertile Catalyst. It usually sold for like 10 or 20 pieces for a Divine based on the current state of the economy. So, what about inscribed ultimatum? Inscribed ultimatum is a particular map item that gives access to a special encounter. It has several types: sacrifice unique item for another unique item, double stack of currency, double half stack of divination cards, or mirror array item that one R. So, you will need to sacrifice the required item and complete the encounter, but there will be only one big wave. If you finish it, you will get a positive reward and the sacrificed item back. However, if you will fail the encounter, you will lose the item. Inscribed ultimatums play a huge role in farming currency with ultimatum in the current meta, so keep them in mind. So, inscribed ultimatum have tiar which

can be checked to see how profitable it could be based on the amount of life monsters are receiving in there. You can see it if you hover over the inscript ultimatum item. 200% moner life means it's tier zero, and it will only reward tier zero uniques such as Mage blood, for example, or H Hunter. Very rare divination cards and currency. You might also get an opportunity to mirror array item. It is very rare, like any tier zero thing. 120% life means it's tier one. It will give tier one uniques, very other good rewards, or for example, you can get like eight Divine SWS out of it. It is more common, but still no Dro in every map. 70% life means steer two, gives steer two uniques, and other okay rewards such as four Divine orbs. 30% life means it's tier three and gives tier three uniques, currency rewards such as one Divine orb. Tier 4 has no life modifier at all, and it's pretty much worthless in the

current economy unless you're playing. Also found so important trick to make inscribes more profitable. It's pretty much the idea that you can sell five of them for a random inscribed ultimatum. That way, if you're dropping a lot of inscribed ultimatums you don't need, you can pretty much pick them up in little groups and sell them. But a very important part that you need to sell inscribed ultimatums of the same tier together. So you will need to pick 30% life to three ultimatums, for example, and sell all of them together to receive one of the tier three ultimatums. Again, that's a great way to roll your bad tier three or tier two, tier one, and tier zero ultimatums to pretty much get some of these good rewards. Just make sure that all ultimatums that you're selling are the same tier because it's pretty important. Otherwise, you're going to lose the tier bonus. So talking about, do you really need to run inscript ultimatums yourself?

so perfectly. If you want to risk it and you feel like your build is strong enough, I recommend to run all inscribed ultimatums yourself because that way you're going to receive maximum profit. However, you should be able to sell your inscribed ultimatums, and it shouldn't be that hard. So generally, I want to quickly showcase how you can trade for them. So you need to put inscribed ultimatum in the search listed items and open ultimatum filters. You can also add more Monster life or Monster damage here. So for example, if you aim for tier zero ultimatums with 200 monster life, most of them cost two divines, even with very bad divination cards rewards because those could be rewarded to get very valuable items such as Mage blood for example or H Hunter. So you can sell them per 2.5 divines each, and you can also change the reward type here. For example, you should go for currency, and there's no such options up in the

currency menu. If you picked it already, you can also check dine or if you're interested in that exactly and pretty much check any options like that. So here's a few fakes, uh, don't mind them a lot, but most of the time you can get like at least 0.7 or even 0.8 per one Divine run. And for example, my eight divines inscribed ultimatum been traded for seven divines, so only one Divine difference. If you don't really want to risk it, you can pretty much just sell them, or if you want to get a little more reward, you can run them yourself. So another very important trick to keep in mind, you're going to drop a lot of basic Catalyst such as noxious Catalyst, insuring Catalyst, or any Catalyst that are not really popular, and those could be kind of hard to sell. You can try to sell them like 180, even maybe 190 per one unine. So since you're dropping a lot, it's probably going to worth it, but there's another option you can take the least.

popular Catalyst, and it should be noxious Catalyst, or pretty much even unstable or imbu Catalyst. Uh, and you can go to your horrific station and pretty much just pick catalysts that way and reroll them this Harvest. That's one of the popular gamble ways to make currency in your hideout, so rolling bad Catalyst with Harvest could be a very good option, especially if you already farmed Harvest yourself, so you can spend some currencies. As you can see, I clicked like two times, and I received some prismatics and stuff. Sometimes you will not be that lucky, and it will require much more clicks, so it heavily depends on your luck and on the situation. So right now, I think I got like really lucky, but right here, as you can see, I'm not really hitting anything good, and usually on average, you should make money with this, but please keep prices in mind because sometimes it could be not profitable, and sometimes it could be all right. However, it's definitely an option, especially if you already have a lot of basic catalysts.

and you're all right with the rolling stuff in your hideout. So talking about types of challenges, we currently have a few different options such as protect the altar, slaughter enemies, survive the assault, and stay in the circles. So circles are probably the worst possible option out of all the fastest ones. Protect the altar is always the fastest because it's very similar to pretty much slaughter them all, but you need to kill fewer enemies. But slaughter them all is pretty much a very nice challenge too, so you just need to kill monsters, and you can complete it pretty fast, I would say. Survival is not that good, but it's kind of bearable, and stone circles are probably the worst option. So genuinely, I recommend trying to focus on ultimatum and inscribe ultimatums, which are like protecting the altar, killing enemies, and maybe survival if you have a stone. I would probably roll it if the reward is not that big, and if you're farming it in the map, you can even pivot earlier because it's just not worth the trouble in many.

many cases. So, talking about which maps to run, I generally prefer maps with an open layout, like Messa, for example, or Dunes. Both of them could be very good, and it could be very nice maps. However, there's also an option to run SP because in VY, you're going to receive ultimatum much closer to the start. So, if you just want to run ultimatum and go out, the P could be a pretty nice option for you. However, if you just like the normal layouts, I would still go with something like Dunes or Masa. Another important question is how to roll the maps to run ultimatum, and is quantity important? So, generally, the answer is not really. The only thing that quantity is helping you with, if you are running Catalyst strategy, you pretty much will receive more Catalyst with higher quantity. In all other approaches, you're not going to receive anything, and it's not really recommended to search for higher quantity. I would still say that you need to roll the maps for 80% plus, but if you

just focus on ultimatum. It's not that important. And is ultimatum better on tier 17? Well, to be honest, tier 17 is not really providing a lot of cool bonuses for ultimatum, so the difference between tier 17 and tier 16 ultimatum is going to be very, very small. So, if you can run it in tier 17, you can do that. However, running it in tier 16 is going to give you almost the same profit. So, let's talk about the strategies. The first one is pretty much the strategy for the Catalyst, and in here, you'll just need to run two scars of brain because both of them are like very good and ultimatum scar up of catalyzer. So, this is the main setup, and you receive only catalysts in your Maps. It could be a little tricky approach, and it heavily depends on the price of ultimate scar of catalyzing. However, it could be pretty profitable because you will be able to sell even basic Catalyst like 1008 for one Divine, and if you're

going to hit like Prismatic or fever. It's going to be much better. So even if it's risky, it's one of the most popular strategies here. For the last two slots, you have a few different options. You can add ultimatum, scar of duel in, if you want to fight a boss. However, if you feel like boss is a waste of time, or you don't really want to spend too much time fighting it, or you feel like boss is not rewarding enough, you can pretty much drop that SC completely. So on top of that, you can just run two sacrifices to boost your quantity, because quantity helps catalysts. Since you have two open slots, you can also combine ultimatum with any other mechanic, and you can use two more scarabs for different mechanics if you prefer. If you don't and you just want to rush ultimatum, I recommend to run two sacrifices here. Now let's see how the atlas 3 for Catalyst looks. So it's pretty basic, and you nearly just need to take

quantity because it affects. Catalyst are explicit modifiers of the map because quantity can affect catalysts too and take all possible ultimatum points. I also recommend to go for phase ultimatum so take all ultimatum related chances here and here so it's going to help you to have ultimatum in every run. So I don't really recommend to go Brave the to if you are not sure how exactly it's going to work for you and if you're not using the boss. So if you want to use the boss you can take Brave the tower without any issue. So talking about the rest a very important moment is gr and gaunlet. gring Gauntlet is a pretty nice Keystone and I think if your build can handle it you can pretty much drop the boss idea and just go for gring Gauntlet here because that not is going to give you three more rounds and three more rewards and it's absolutely amazing. So if you're running Catalyst you don't need to take any passives here kind of related to

inscribed ultimatums. You can just take Ruining Gauntlet for additional rounds. If your build cannot handle that, you can pretty much drop it completely. Another interesting part is pretty much Ruinous Rager. So if you feel like monsters and ultimate itself dealing less damage can help you, I definitely recommend to take that. And talking about the rest, I already commented on that, but we will need to boost everything except Stone Circles. I'm still taking one point here because Ultimatum Stone Circles where see increased reduce is a pretty nice buff. You can also combine it with any other mechanic. For example, I had Harvest other than Z, but it's absolutely not necessary. And if you feel like you don't want to run any other mechanic and just want to rush out Ultimate Dooms, it's a pretty great idea too. That way you can just drop it and pretty much run Maven, for example, and to take some scars in the process. So scarabs in that situation is recommended. So second strategy, on the other hand, just focus on inscribed.

ultimatums. You are still using ultimatum scarab of catalyzing because it's going to grant you only Catalyst rewards, but now you're using it in combo with ultimate scarab of inscription. Every time when you will be offered Catalyst, you're going to receive inscribed ultimatums instead. So perfectly, you can receive from 10 to 13 ultimatums in one map, like ultimatum inscribed ultimatums, and you can still use scarab brain here. The last slot is going to be open, or you can add any other mechanic in there because generally you just don't have a perfect scarab to fit that place. You don't need quantity anymore because quantity is not boosting described ultimatums, and you don't need any related Scarab to pretty much boost your whole approach for inscribed ultimatums in the three. I heavily recommend to take gring Gauntlet, and you can swap it to the boss only if you completely can't handle it because gring Gauntlet is a very strong passive for it, and another

cool bonus. I recommend taking worthy of the present because that way you're going to receive much more inscribed ultimatum V currency. Currency is probably the best way to make currency, so it just works by itself. You just need two points in there; the rest of the three is pretty much staying the same, so no changes at all. One interesting part that I'm not really taking is stand your ground because I feel like stand your ground is not really worth the hustle it creates. Because want to reduce the radius of the Ring together with bonuses from like gring CET, it can create very annoying situations when it will be hard to handle it even with a strong build. For example, if your ring is going to be very small but as the center you're going to receive like a damage overtime Circle, so it will be really hard to navigate it. And I think like stand your ground bonuses just not worth it in many cases. However, if you can handle it just fine, you can pretty much take extend your

ground without any issue, so just investing it, getting four points here, is not a big issue. Otherwise, three is pretty much staying the same. If you don't want to run like Harvest, you can just invest in scarabs because you're going to drop some in the process. So, talking about the profit from inscribe, it's mostly a hit-or-miss strategy. You're going to receive a lot of basic inscribed ultimatums that can provide you only like 20 Kos orbs, and you can pretty much run them if you want, or you can pretty much just trade them, as I already showcased. So, just five inscribed ultimatums of the same tier could be exchanged to one random of the same tier as well. There is a chance that you're going to hit something very nice here, but if you have a Divine one, I wouldn't probably bother, and I would just keep it because Divine for that TI is probably the most amount of currency that you can receive. However, if you have a lot of vs, for example, and you

don't need vs, or their price is not that high. I recommend to just trade them in. The last strategy is pretty much the strategy that just uses ultimatum as a supportive mechanic. Definitely together with something else, you can just run normal ultimatum scrs of Bri in, and you can Lally run like two of them. Uh, and if you want, you can add ultimatum scrap of duelan. So if you want to fight the both, if you don't, you can just run braen, and that's pretty much it. So just spawn ultimatum and run braing. The rest, like three slots, could be used for any other mechanic that you currently prefer, because most of them are going to work all right in pair with ultimatum. So that's pretty much it, and you don't need anything else, because just bribing is going to push your rewards pretty high. That way, you will do less ultimatums per hour, but you can combine it with any other mechanics that requires at least a few scars here.

because you have a lot of open slots going through the tree, you can pretty much do literally the same stuff. You just don't need to take forth of the present, so just drop it, take chances for ultimatum, take prove yourself worthy because that's a very cool node, and take better chances to protect the alar slaughter and survive. That's pretty much it, and the last part is just a quick explanation of why sometimes you're losing the ultimatum. So, ultimatum has the mean called ruin. When monsters are hitting you with special abilities, especially if you took like ruus vager, you can pretty much receive stock of Ruin. Sometimes the buff of ultimatum itself is going to add ruin to you. So, when you're reaching seven ruin, you're automatically losing the encounter. And generally, if you have a lot of Ruin at the moment, I recommend to pretty much just stop and take the rewards without finishing it. So, for example, if you have five ruins already, it's a great idea to just take it.

especially if you have some valuable rewards in the process. But most of the time, there's not a lot of issues with ruin because you can easily dodge ruin monsters just by running around. Ult attacks from ruin monsters could be blocked, so if you have a high block chance, you should feel much better in ultimatums, and you can just ignore ruin—not completely, but pretty often. However, keep in mind your ruin number and always check on that. Talking about how to make ultimatum safer, there is a pretty important Keystone on your Atlas 3 called ruinous vager. It's pretty much going to lower the amount of damage that ultimat monsters and ultimat modifiers are doing for about 50% less, and that's a huge bonus. So, if your build is not really that tanky, you can pretty much pick that Keystone. Just keep in mind that sometimes you can literally lose ultimatum because of the ruin stocks, but otherwise, you're going to be just fine if you will just run around in circles to

avoid getting hit by ruin monsters, but it's going to help your capability tremendously, especially if you are squishy. So, another important topic to keep in mind: that ultimatum farm right now is pretty random in terms of rewards. Sometimes you can get very cool stuff and pretty fast, and sometimes you will hit a losing streak. So, keep that in mind if you want to F the strategy. However, if you hit it, there's a big potential. And right now, ultimatum is one of the best mechanics to pretty much receive a lot of rewards pretty quickly.
