so it is Thursday, September 19th, 6:33 p.m., and I'm here at Junro station trying to transfer from line four to line three. I down PA [Music], and this is mental just making my way back from Mong to K. I don't know if there was a delay or anything, but living here for 5 years, I've never seen anything like it. I had to wait a few trains at line 4 before I could get on one, but that was nothing out of the ordinary. You see a lot of people taking pictures. Oops, I definitely would have gone a different way if I knew I could have just taken line two all the way back to Gangnam. Look at this, and I want to go to Ogum, so I've got to go around this swarm of people as this train is going to Gjiro SGA the wrong way. [Music] I think line four is backed up, that's why all those people were waiting there, but we seem to be out of the thick

of it. So, I'm just going to be transferring to Shinta Station, or CA, as they pronounce it in English, which seems incorrect to me, but what do I know? I'm just a visitor here. And then from there, I'm going to be taking the Shin Buong Line down to Gangam. But things seem in order here. This is nothing out of the ordinary, and the current train is just making its way from Jango SGA to Uro SGA. And then sound being [Music] three. This is probably not the best one to wait at right where the other line connects to this one. You can use a number of apps that'll tell you the ideal door from when making a transfer. I just wanted to pull the camera out and record that 'cause that [Music] was maybe what I'll do just for comparison's sake is I'll record the transfer at the next stop [Music]. There must have been some kind of delay, which is a very rare thing in my experience here [Music]. But we've got two trains on the

way. I've probably wandered to the wrong end of the platform for my next transfer. Fore [Music] [Music] yeah. I couldn't understand those announcements, but I'm positive there's some kind of delay or slowdown online 4. Yeah, this train is pretty crowded. I'm not going to record on a crowded train, but I'll resume and record the transfer once I get to Shinsa. Oh, this map even tells you where the best transfer spot is. All spee fore speee [Music] hey. What do you know? I picked exactly the right spot. In hindsight, I should have recorded going through Yongdong station, but I wasn't really thinking about that. And this line is operated by a different company, so you do have to tap between lines. It's going to work out the single Fair [Applause]. Though that was only maybe four or five stops, and this is the terminal line. I don't really like recording on Transit Vehicles when it's busy. Don't like putting the camera so close to people. If I don't get

a view out a window or something like that. All right, let's test the escalator etiquette here. All right, you could just walk down the up and hope nobody is going up. As soon as someone steps on that in the other direction, that's going to trigger the escalator to move up. And I don't think you have to worry about that 'cause it drops people off on the other platform. So we can take this stop a few stops or this line a few stops down to Gangnam. I could have done this trip in just one. I could have taken line two the whole way. I could have taken line four down to Sadong and then transferred to line two. But I opted for the faster route that requires more transfers. All right, I'll wait for the train to roll in. [Music] So we are going, I believe, two stops. And with this one not being so cramped, might as well leave the camera rolling. [Music] Oh, that's neat. We just saw a train coming right at us.

[Music] station. The doors are on your right. You can transfer to line number seven. And for St. Doors are on your left. You can transfer to line [Music] number. Oh, this is Shin on station. I have one more to [Music] go, and I lost that sweet view foree [Music] this is station. Please exit on the left. You can transfer to the green line, line number number two. That was cool. I did not know you could get that view at the front of the train. I'm going to have to see how this footage looks, so I might be tempted to make a video of that view. As you can see, things are much calmer, even at one of the busiest stations, although that train is pretty ramp [Applause]. Hey, hey [Applause]. So, I think that whole trip cost me 3,300. It's my understanding that that Shin buong line is a little more expensive as it's operated by private interest. We'll just head out of this part of the

station, and you can connect to line to the busiest line in Seoul. This whole part of the station, I think, opened up my last year in Seoul. To be honest, I didn't even know they were building a new subway line here. They're just so good at it in terms of disrupting things at street level; that's minimal. They built it pretty quickly. It's amazing what can happen when you don't have Metro Links calling the shots. I need to go to gate one. I'm going to meet a buddy for dinner. My Airbnb is also here. I want to check out a few cases as [Music] [Music] well, someone's in a hurry [Music] skate [Music] two. Oh well, we might as well head out gate one [Music] which is also the gate I used to come and go from when I lived here for four of my 5 years. I lived right outside of gate one, and the guy I'm meeting actually still lives in that building. I'll wait till after the video to force

him to go looking for a case with me. [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh well, so it started off as kind of a disaster. A big weight at Yongdong station. I started recording once was transferring at Chumo. I still got to where I needed to go. It wasn't that bad. If you're wondering where all the action is, it's over there in terms of much of the nightlife and things to do in this area.
