Next, we have the Solar Edge Homehub, paired with their latest S440 Optimizer and home battery. This system is also DC coupled, but what sets it apart from the Powerwall are the optimizers. They work at the panel level to ensure each solar panel is operating at its best, even if some panels are shaded or underperforming. The Solar Edge Homehub inverter comes in various sizes and delivers up to 11.4 kW of power output, which is right in line with the Tesla system. But the real magic happens with those S440 optimizers.
