If you take a look at my screen, you can see this coloring book right here. And if we look at the data straight from Amazon, you can see this one book has made its seller $23,800, made $18,988 with this coloring book right here. Amazon KDP is a platform that allows regular people like you and me to create, self-publish, and sell books directly on Amazon. This allows you to take advantage and profit off of the 300 million plus people that come to Amazon every year.

buy printed books, and recently I noticed that coloring books are a profitable niche on Amazon that's fairly untouched compared to other products with high competition. All you need to do is sign up for an Amazon KDP account, and you're ready to start selling. But wait a sec, before you can make any money with this, you need a coloring book to sell first. So let's jump right into step number one and create your first book. Now we already know that we're going to be creating and selling a coloring book, but before you create your first book, you need to pick a profitable niche or theme that's in demand so that you can have the highest potential to make the most amount of money. But how do you find out what's actually in demand on Amazon? Well, that's where our first online app comes in. For this, we're going to use an app called Book Bolt. Now, if you're a longtime subscriber to my channel, you've probably heard me talk about Book Bolt before because I've been using it for years. But if you haven't, Book Bolt is an

all-in-one Amazon KDP app that allows you to find and create the most profitable Amazon KDP products in just a few minutes. Even if you're a complete beginner, so the first thing you need to do is to sign up for a book bold account to follow along with this tutorial. Now, once you've created your book bold account, you're going to come over here to the left side of the screen and click on the cloud tool. The cloud tool allows you to research or spy on actual Amazon data so that you can find the best-selling products in any KDP category. When you open the cloud tool, I suggest you leave all of the settings as is except for one, and that's the category where you'll want to select the coloring book from the drop-down menu. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with selling on Amazon, you might be wondering what BSR

is BSR stands for best seller range, and is how you can tell how popular a product is on Amazon. Basically, the lower the BSR number is, the more popular the product is on Amazon. Now, when you hit the search button, Book Bolt will get to work searching real-time Amazon data, then gives you a list of the top 100 selling coloring books on Amazon right now, sorted from highest BSR to lowest. And to show you just how profitable one coloring book can be, let me do a quick calculation for you. If you look at the most popular product here, which is a cute animal coloring book, you can see all of the behind-the-scenes data from Amazon. And here, you can see the average monthly sales that this coloring book is getting right now. You can also see the selling price right here. And when I do a quick calculation, you can see that this one coloring book is making over $4,000 per month for its seller. And what's even better is that this seller has multiple coloring books in the top 100 best sellers, all getting

roughly the same amount of sales every single month. So, this means this seller is making well over $115,000 per month just by selling simple coloring books on Amazon. Now, to pick your Niche, what you want to do is look for a common theme within all of the top sellers and then create a coloring book of your own that fits into that theme. I've already done some quick research on the results and found that one of the most popular themes that comes up repeatedly is the Cute Animal theme, but you can go into much more detail when doing your own research. But for this video, I'm keeping it as simple as possible, so I'm going to choose cute animals for the niche for our first coloring book. But one thing I need to point out is that it's really important to continually do your own research inside your own book Bol account because depending on when you're watching this, the top sellers will change, and you want to make sure you're choosing the theme that's in demand right now. So, we've selected a niche now.

how do you know what type of images to put inside your coloring book? I'm going to cover all of that in Step number two. Now, before I show you how to pick your coloring book images, please make sure that you like this video and save it for later so you don't lose it and can come back to it when you're ready to implement all of these steps. So, when creating your coloring book pages, you need to make sure that you choose images that fit within the theme that you just picked in Step number one. Now, that's easier said than done because depending on the theme, you might not personally know anything about it. So, how do you choose the best images? Well, we're going to get AI to do it for us. The first AI app we're going to use is ChatGPT. ChatGPT's AI can help you generate a virtually endless supply of unique coloring page ideas that fit your theme perfectly, and it can do it in just a few seconds. Let me show you how we decided.

to go with cute animals as our theme for our coloring book. So to get chat GPT to come up with our coloring page ideas, you're going to give it a prompt like this: I'm starting a new online income stream where I'll be creating and selling coloring books within the Cute Animal theme. Please provide a list of 25 of the most popular cute animals that I can turn into images for the pages of my new coloring book. Then hit the submit button. Next, you'll see in just a couple of seconds chat GPT has generated a list of 25 of the most popular cute animals that we can now use to create images for our coloring book. But wait a sec, how do you turn this list of ideas into actual images? To do that, we're going to use an AI image generator app, one that has a secret feature that will create perfect coloring book images both quickly and consistently. I'll explain exactly how to do this in Step number three. There are lots of AI image generator apps out there, but not all of

them are created equal. I've personally tested the best and the worst of them and found the perfect one for this strategy. The AI app we're going to use to generate our coloring book is called Leonardo. Leonardo is a very powerful AI image generator that allows you to generate the most amazing images in just seconds using simple text-based prompts. But the reason why I specifically chose Leonardo for this step is because it has a secret feature that most people don't know about. I'll show you the secret feature in just a second, so please stay with me. So for our coloring book, we chose the cute animal niche for the theme of our book, so we need to make sure that all of our images fit this niche and have the same consistent look and feel. To do this, first you need to create your own Leonardo account. I've added a link to Leonardo down in the description to save you some time. Once you've created your account, you'll see there's lots of different tools inside the Leonardo app, but for this tutorial

you're going to use the image generation tool by clicking this option in the left menu. That will bring you to this screen here where you'll see a text prompt box at the top and lots of other options at the left. Now, again to keep this tutorial as simple as possible, I'm only going to cover the options that you need for this specific tutorial. So, to generate your coloring book designs, first you need to give Leonardo a prompt just like we did with ChatGPT. But if you're a complete beginner to AI prompts, you probably don't know what to type here. So, I'm going to share another one of my secret strategies with you to help you come up with the best prompts. Here's the secret: most people don't know that if you're struggling to come up with AI prompts, you can actually ask ChatGPT to write perfectly crafted prompts for you. Let me show you what I mean. Back over here in ChatGPT, you're going to give a prompt like this using the list above, please.

create a list of clear and descriptive AI image generation prompts for each of the animals in the list. Please make sure the prompts are as detailed as possible so that the AI knows exactly what I wanted to create. Once you do that, ChatGPT will create perfect prompts for each image. Then all you need to do is copy each prompt from ChatGPT, come back over to Leonardo, and paste it into the prompt box. Now before you hit enter, it's time to turn on the secret feature that will guarantee perfect coloring book images. Because coloring book images require very specific features like a white background, black lines, and there also can't be any color in the images. So please do not skip this step. To turn on this special feature, click this little image icon here in the left corner of the prompt box, then choose the coloring book element from the options below. Now Leonardo will apply a preset that will ensure it only generates images that will work as coloring book pages. Now I quickly need to mention that there are lots of other advanced settings that you

can test out here in the left menu, but again, to keep this tutorial as simple as possible, I'm going to keep everything as is. The only other option that I highly suggest you turn on is the private mode. You can find it right here in the left menu. You'll need to have a paid account to activate this, but in my opinion, it's absolutely worth it because if you leave this option off, all of the images you create will be visible and available for all of the other users on the Leonardo platform, which you don't want. Once you've turned on the private mode, the last thing you need to do is hit the generate button, and Leonardo will get to work with your first image. It will take a few seconds, but once it's done, you'll see that it has created a few different images that you can choose from. If you like what it created on the first try, you can choose the image you like best, then download it by clicking the download button right here. Or if you want to change anything about the image, you can edit the prompt.

and try again until you have an image you're completely satisfied with. Then all you need to do is repeat this process by copying and pasting the remaining prompts from chat GPT into Leonardo until you have all 25 images created. Once you've done that, it's time to move on to step number four where you're going to put your whole coloring book together in Book Bolt so that you can start selling it on Amazon KDP. Now, here on my screen, you can see I'm back in my Book Bolt account. To create your coloring book, you'll need to use the Book Bolt Studio tool. You can access it by switching to the Create menu at the top left corner of the screen by clicking right here, then select Studio. Once it opens, you'll see there are quite a few tools and menus that you can use to design your first coloring book. Again, for this video, I'm keeping it as simple as possible, so I'll only be talking about the specific tools that you need for this strategy. But feel free

to test out other tools and options when you're creating your own book. So once inside the studio, you want to select the project menu and then new project. When this box pops up, leave the paperback option selected. Then give your new project a name. Next, choose the trim size for your book. For our example, I'm going to choose 8.5x8.5 in, but you can choose any size that you like. Then make sure you leave the black and white interior options selected so that the pages are suitable for coloring. Next, I'm also going to change the number of pages to 50, and you'll see why in just a second. Then click the create project button. Once you do that, you'll see the coloring book template appear in the middle of the screen. The template will initially show borders and give you a brief explanation of what they all mean. It's important that you get familiar with the rules on this template, or you'll risk having your book rejected by Amazon when you try to publish it. You can read all

of this over in your own book. Bold account, but the most important thing you should remember is that you should never put any important information or images in the red area here, or you'll risk having it cut off when Amazon prints your book. You also don't want any of your interior pages or images to cross the dotted line right here, or you'll receive an error when you're trying to publish your book. Once you've done reading the guidelines, you can turn them off by clicking up here in the top menu. Now, the first page you see here will be your cover, but I'm going to come back to that in just a second because first I want to show you how to create the interior coloring pages. If you look here on the left side of the screen, you'll see all of the pages are numbered and labeled with either odd or even. The only pages you need to worry about creating for your coloring book are the odd pages because the odd pages are the ones located on the right side of your book when you open it. To create your coloring

book pages. First, you need to click on the first page of your coloring book. Then, you're going to come over here to the left menu and click on the image icon right here. Next, you're going to click the upload button to upload all of the images that you just created and downloaded from Leonardo. Then, all you need to do is click on the first image in your library, and it will automatically appear on the first page. Then, all you have to do is repeat this process for the rest of the pages in your coloring book, and you'll see in just a few minutes you have all of the pages for your coloring book created. Now, once you're happy with the coloring pages, it's time to create the cover of your coloring book. But don't worry, Book Bolt makes this process really simple to do. Here on my screen, you'll see I'm back at the cover template. Now, one important detail that you need to be aware of is that the back cover is on the left and the front cover is on the right. It's done that way so

that when Amazon prints your coloring book and folds it down the middle, the front cover is on the correct side. I'm going to turn off the template now that we're clear on which side is the front and show you how to create your cover image really quickly. And once again, you don't have to worry about creating your cover image yourself because you can always come back over here to Leonardo and ask it to create a bright color image that matches your chosen theme. I've already done that, so I'm going to upload my AI-generated cover image in the same way that I uploaded my coloring pages. Position your image so that it covers the entire cover page all the way to the edge. Then I'm going to duplicate the image and add it to the back cover as well. Once you're happy with the image placement, next you need to add a title to your cover. To do that, you're going to click the text button over here on the left menu and select heading. To edit the title text, double click on the text and type whatever title you want to give.

your coloring book. You want your title to include keywords related to your niche. For this example, I'm going to use baby animals. You can also add effects to your title text by clicking on the effects button. Right here, I'm going to add a slight arc, a black border, and a bold shadow to make the text really stand out. I think that looks really great, so I'm going to duplicate it and copy the same text style for the rest of the cover page text. For the bottom text, I'm going to remove the arc and then change the text to say coloring book for kids so that potential customers know exactly what type of coloring book this is when they're searching on Amazon. You can play around with the sizing of your text until you're happy with how it looks on your cover. Once you're finished with your text and are happy with how your cover looks, your coloring book is ready to be published. And you can see how in just a few minutes by using AI in the Book Bolt app, we've gone from idea.

to completed coloring book that's ready to make us money online. The last thing you need to do is download the entire book file so that you can upload it to Amazon KDP and start selling it. To do that, click the download button up here in the top menu, then select the cmk option for printed books. Once your coloring book file is downloaded, it's time to start making money with it over on Amazon, and I'll cover all of that in Step number five. Now, the last step and the one that will allow you to make money online with your new coloring book is to upload it onto the Amazon KDP platform where it will then become available for people to buy in the Amazon Marketplace. To complete this last step, you need to create an Amazon KDP account. I've added a link to the Amazon KDP website down in the description for you. Once you've created your account, you'll see a page that looks like this. You want to go ahead and click on the create button right here and then select paperback. Then on the next screen, you'll

come to a page where you have to fill out all of the information about your book like the title, description, and keywords. For example, now I'm not going to go over this section in full detail in this video because I already cover this in another one of my tutorials over on my channel. If you need help filling out this page, I've linked that video down in the description with a timestamp to this specific section. But here on my screen, you will see I filled out everything for our cute animal coloring book that we just created. So feel free to pause the video as I scroll if you want to use this as a reference for your own coloring book. Once you've completed this page, click the save and continue button. The next page is where you'll create your ISBN number, which is the identification number for your book. Amazon will create one for you for free by clicking this button right here. Then you need to enter the specific physical details about your book so that Amazon knows how to print it, like the trim size and the type of paper and color for this.

make sure you enter the exact same details that you selected in the Book Bolt app when creating your coloring book, or you'll get an error when you're trying to publish. Again, I cover all of this in the other tutorial over on my channel that's linked down in the description. Next, you need to upload your interior pages of your coloring book by clicking this button right here, and then upload the cover of your book by clicking right here. These files are what you just downloaded from the Book Bolt app in the previous step. Next, you'll see this section right here where you need to specify that your book contains AI-generated content by selecting yes, then click the drop-down box and choose the selections that match your book. You can see what I chose for our example coloring book right here on my screen. If you're not sure what to pick, lastly, you need to review your book before you can publish it on Amazon KDP by clicking right here. If there are any errors, you'll see them on the left side here.

but make sure, make sure you check every page to make sure you didn't make any mistakes. Once you review your coloring book and you made sure there are no errors, you can click the save and continue button right here. Now, on the last page is where you'll set up the pricing for your book. I suggest you price your book at the average price for other best sellers in your niche. If you're not sure how to price your book, you can research this in the KDP tool back on the BookBolt app. This page is also where you'll see how much profit you'll make from every single sale. Once you've entered the pricing details, it's time to publish your first coloring book by clicking this button right here. It could take up to 72 hours for your book to be approved and appear on the Amazon marketplace. Now, to make the most amount of money with this strategy, you can't just post one coloring book. You want to make sure that you're consistently creating and posting new coloring books into your Amazon KDP account. This will

maximize your chance at getting sales, and also make sure you're staying on top of trending themes. You also want to make sure you're promoting your book outside of Amazon. Amazon gets lots of organic traffic, but you can also help boost your sales by promoting your coloring book in other ways like on Instagram, TikTok, or Pinterest.
