okay, I'm trying to get this video out as quickly as I can because a friend of mine has pointed something out to me that all of you guys need to know. So, you can ignore the world that I have right now. If I go to options and then video settings, I have a mysterious option here on my window settings called borderless window. And that's because I'm running a fabric mod right now called borderless mining. You can't see it here because it's simply something that toggles an option on the video settings. This mod is safe. I wouldn't otherwise install it myself. A lot of you guys have downloaded this mod. I'm aware of this. According to Modrin, there are 1.8 million downloads for this mod. And there are several other mods that are very similarly named. So, borderless window, full screen windowed, borderless. And this can set up some massively confusing implications. Such as this, if you have downloaded the mod Windows borderless, you are at risk of having downloaded malware. What these mods do is it allows

you to play the game of Minecraft in full-screen mode while simultaneously being windowed. This allows you to not minimize the game, have other things running on top of it. It's a very popular option, so it's a very popular mod. Unfortunately, some dude has decided to exploit that popularity, upload a mod called Windows Borderless, and inject malware into it. This is not dissimilar to the incident 12 months ago where a whole load of mods encompassing the Better Minecraft mod pack were infected by Fractu iser. But long story short, if you have downloaded this mod in the last couple days, please check your system right now. I'm going to scroll right down to what you can do, and I'll explain everything afterwards 'cause this is way more important. There is a tool here that you can run. All of these links will be linked. It can take some time depending on how many files you have in your relevant directory, but you can download this. This is 100% safe. I have checked everything. It's just detecting the

relevant hashes and prompting their deletion. So you just run that if you're worried in any way, delete the mod as well. It's just a good reminder to double-check what you're downloading or where you're downloading from. Modrin is a relatively safe alternative to Curse Forge, but due to its growing popularity, these things can happen. It's very hard to detect these things, especially since malware can be constructed and encrypted in many different ways, often times unpredictable. So as we speak, Modrin is working on safeguards like sandboxing. But if you work in cybersecurity or cryptography, you might be more aware of these things. The mod's been downloaded only 372 times, so if one of you guys that watched this video happened to have downloaded this, I'm really happy to have been able to help. So what's occurred, and you can see what's happened here on Modrin. You can upload your own work where only the initial version is reviewed; every other updated version is not reviewed. Now, if you work at Modrin, please correct

me if I'm wrong, but it appears only the first version of this was approved. Which is problematic because what's happened afterwards is that new versions contain the malware. Now, thankfully, the mod has been taken down so you can't download it. Please don't share it with anyone. Otherwise, I have no sympathy for you. Stay safe on the internet, guys. That's all for me.
