Logitech has a stylus for The Meta, the Logitech MX Inc. It was just announced, and I got to demo it here. It's coming out in the fall, and this is kind of like the dream Apple Pencil product for VR headsets that doesn't exist for Apple products, but it certainly exists if you've got a Meta Quest. The Logitech MX Inc. is a $130 stylus that wirelessly connects to the Quest headsets, any Quest headset that you've got, Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, and whatever Meta has coming out in the future. And work is a full position trackable Sixt off stylus that also has haptics and pressure sensitivity. So already on Meta's Quest headsets, there's a lot of art apps, Shapes XR, Gravity Sketch, a lot of different things that are out there. And if you're a creator, you could create 3D models using the controllers right now. That's cool, but the MX Inc. is a dedicated device for drawing on 2D.

also 3D surfaces. And it's also meant to work in mixed reality, so some of the demos I saw are not just about drawing in VR, but drawing floating using the pass-through cameras so you could actually look at an object and trace its outline in 3D space and sketch around it and enhance it. And then hey, you're designing an XR. I feel like I've made like a little diorama for myself. It's like it's very interesting to use this in this space. Like it reminds me of creating VR art, but with a much more tactile feedback. And point the Logitech MX Inc. has haptic feedback and a variety of buttons on the side that are shortcuts to pulling up menus and to tap and hold to begin the drawing process in space. It felt very intuitive, and you can also use it combined with hand tracking or with another uh Quest controller in your hand to pull up menus while also working on that. That's kind of like the ideal setup. I tried it with Shapes XR, which is one.

of the compatible apps. I'm going to pick a different color and do like a. I don't even know what I'm drawing in there. Not only do I want the Apple Pencil in the future, will work like that, but at $130, this is basically an Apple Pencil price, uh, for buying as a Quest accessory. Logitech had done one of these Air styluses in the past, but that one was meant for PC headsets. It had a lot more setup requirements. I mean, you needed a PC that was VR compatible. This working with a Quest means that it's super portable. It's something you could use to create art on the fly. It's coming out in the holiday, which seems like it would be a great gift. I'd like to use it more, but I'm really excited about this peripheral because it's one of the first that Meta has signed off on to become a truly compatible extra accessory for Quest hardware. Meta is also expanding to other hardware partners to make other headsets from other developers, uh, from OEMs that will also run Meta's software, that type.

of open policy could lead to other interesting peripherals, and I feel like the MX Inc is kind of the very first step of what's going to happen in the future.
