Hey everyone, how's everyone doing? I got some great news for you all today. So, um, yeah, my injury isn't as bad as I thought. I saw the Fracture Clinic yesterday in, um, Toronto, and I'm going to give you some updates on what happened. Um, how come the chat is not updating? It's weird. Let me take a look here. What's going on? You know what's weird? Um, I don't see any messages on the screen here. Maybe I need to, uh, huh, yeah, the live chat is not showing at all, which is strange. Let me try turning, uh, airplane mode on here and turning it back on. Maybe that'll fix it. It's weird. Yeah, there's no, uh, chat messages at all on this [Music] phone. Let me, uh, you know what I should do? Let me turn on my computer. Then I can read the chat from my computer. But this is weird. It shouldn't happen like this. I could read it from my phone too, but the computer is better 'cause otherwise you'll see me looking at a phone all the

time, and you know that's not as good etiquette. At least I'm at a desk. I could um troubleshoot this. Well, I guess one benefit to uh being at home and doing a live stream, if the chat disappears, I still have a means to read it, where if I'm walking around outside, I can't do that. But we got a technical difficulties to start this stream. All right, well, I have the uh the chat messages going on on my computer here. You're probably going to hear my computer running um. Another technical thing that I fixed was um flipping the front-facing camera because I noticed some comments was saying, Oh, it wasn't my left foot, it was my right foot, but it was just the camera that was um flipped. So, left hand, right hand. Anyway, since I have the chat up now, I'm going to uh tell you about my visit to the Fracture Clinic yesterday. So, I uh went in. U, my appointment was 9:30 in the morning. I had to wait um 2 hours to get seen by

the doctor saw a much better improvement than 6 hours waiting at the hospital for the emergency room. Um, and when I got to see the doctor, he was like very quick, and he was like, Oh, I see you're in here. Like, what happened? I showed him the picture of the hole. He says, Okay, you got a couple fractures in there, but we'll put you in a boot, and in about 6 weeks, you should be okay. And then he just gave me some general tips, and that was it. And they fitted a boot for me with my shoe size and told me I couldn't weight bear for at least two weeks, and I'll have to follow up with an orthopedist and get follow-up x-rays to see the progress of my bone growth. Anyway, so I'll show you my new boot. They took my cast off that they put on me in the emergency room, and I'm glad because that cast sucked. It was like so heavy and bulky to get around. I mean, I can even show it here.

this was the cast I had from the emergency room. Yeah, you can see it. It's like completely covering, like almost up to my knee. And uh, I'm going to show you the much improved action kid boots. I can't walk with it yet, but who knows, maybe in two weeks I can do uh. It's, it looks like a futuristic boot. Maybe in two weeks I can do some light walking with it, with crutches. But this is called an aircast boot. It's like a medical boot that has a liner and a hard plastic shell, so it keeps the foot in place. Kind of looks like a space boot to me. And uh, you could pump this up with air too. It's crazy. And the other side also, so I can't really twist my leg the other way, but you could pump this up and deflate it. You could hear the air deflating, like the back of the foot now is looser. But it's good to pump up this boot so that it's comfortable for you, so it doesn't

move, but not to the point where it hurts your foot. You don't want your foot to be compressed with air again. Oh, I got a super chat from Steven Fredman, $4.99 for the healing fund. Thank you so much. And um, yeah, I'm very, very pleased with this outcome. I didn't need surgery, which is what I feared, because they were like in the emergency room, Oh, we're going to do a CAT scan and make sure there's no fractures we missed and that you need surgery. And I'm like, Oh gosh, I don't want screws in my foot or metal plates. But we got a good outcome here. I just need to wear this non-intrusive boot and use crutches. And uh, hopefully in 6 weeks my body will form some hard bone there and I could start walking again like normally. Thanks Bob Harley for $4.99, really appreciate it. um you can tell today I'm in much better spirits now and um yeah great news from the doctor from the Fracture Clinic and um yeah couldn't be happier now uh GG NYC asks will you stay in Canada throughout the process I'm I'm going to get to that but um more about the uh hospital I went to the uh Sunny Brook Medical Center Hospital they were very nice there um I had nothing but great experiences with the emergency department and the Fracture Clinic too and even in the waiting area um it was actually my friend and moderator um out and about with yours true Liz OC who brought me to the hospital we um went there and she brought me over to the fracture Clank she made a joke she's like imagine if like um there's going to be one of your viewers in the waiting area and and I was like oh yeah right that's not going to happen but guess what in the waiting area there was a couple there um the woman was in a

wheelchair and she's like, Wait, um, are you from YouTube? I said, Yeah. Like, Wow, we saw your videos. But they didn't know I got injured in Canada. They thought I was still in the US. Thanks, uh, the mighty bull for $4.99. So, I even met some kind viewers in the waiting room of the, uh, Fracture Clinic there, which was great. Um, all in all, positive experience with the Fracture Clinic. Um, to get the, uh, consultation and the appointment for the Fracture Clinic, they charged me $175 Canadian dollars. And they also charged me for the cost of the, uh, the medical boot, the aircast spaceship futuristic boot, which was $220 Canadian. So, oh, Lizo is actually in the chat now. They said they were watching your Florida streams. Yeah, that was a while ago. I was in Florida, but I'm up here in, uh, in Canada. And who would have thought, out of all the traveling that I've done and all the, like, videos I've made, that I'll get hurt here in

Toronto. Actually, now that I look back on it, I'm probably very fortunate to get hurt in the place that I did because here it's still very easy to get around. It's easy to get like Ubers and stuff. Everyone here speaks English. The health care is really good here in Canada, and I had nothing but positive experiences with Sunnybrook Hospital and the medical center and the Fracture Clinic. They were all great and supportive, and I met some viewers in the waiting area too, so that's really amazing. Monica Owenia says the prices are pretty good. Well, the initial admission and the cost of the medical equipment were much better than I thought. I'm sure if I got injured somewhere like New York City, the cost of that hospital visit is going to be much more than what I paid here in Toronto because here in Canada, all the hospitals are funded by the government. It's like public health care. Private hospitals are not allowed to exist at

least that's my understanding. And if you're a Canadian resident or like per um citizen, all your health care is pretty much covered. They pay all their high taxes into it, so I guess in that um case, like it keeps the prices low, but the downside is that it's just a long wait. Now, that's not normally a problem if you don't have like a life-threatening injury like me. It's just a foot injury. But could you imagine if I like fell off my scooter and like hurt my ribs and it's like digging into my body or like I'm suffering from like a life-threatening condition and you have to wait for the emergency room? That's uh, that's not good. Thanks uh, Julie B for $5. If they recommend Physical Therapy, you should do it. Foot injuries are complicated. Take it slow. Feel better soon. Thanks Julie. Yeah, I'll um follow up with an orthopedist once I'm back in the US in two weeks. That's what they recommended, so I'll just uh get my medical records and forward it to um the

doctors there. They'll take new x-rays hopefully and see that I'm healing. That's what we hope, right? LRI with 25 bucks. Thanks, LRI. So, relief for you that no surgery will be needed. Oh, I'm so, so happy because with surgery, there's many more complications because there's, you know, hardware involved. They have to take it out. They have to put you on anesthesia, and that messes up your body in other ways too. I have been praying for you since I've heard of your injury. Will you be able to drive, or perhaps have a friend or family member come up to get you home? I'll get to that. So, um, yeah, I'm very grateful no surgery is needed, and um, yeah, hopefully it'll be a very simple recovery process because um, I uh, was very concerned in the emergency room when the um, doctor there was like, Oh, you have an injury. It could be complicated. Might need surgery. And he says, Oh, it's the Lis Frank injury, which is your midfoot, and there's a lot of like moving

Parts there ligaments, and I was like, Oh gosh, it's like, oh. But I did have some relief when he consulted the orthopedic doctor in the ER, and he was like, Most likely won't need surgery. And I guess the CAT scan results confirmed it. When I went to the fracture specialist yesterday, they were like, Oh, have a little bit of fractures in there. Just put a boot on you, six weeks, you should be fine. So I'm very grateful my Lisfranc injury didn't break more bones in my body or break it in a way that would need surgery. So I'm very, very grateful. If I did need surgery, gosh knows what I would do. I'd probably have to have a much longer recovery time, and in terms of physical therapy, I don't know what's going to happen. I guess the orthopedic will know in two weeks when I follow up. But anyway, I want to get to my x-rays. I actually

have them. I'll show you how my foot got damaged or if you even tell so um here is the uh the side of my left foot there and it was my Liz Frank. That was a Liz Frank injury which is the midfoot and here it's like I don't know can you even tell there's an injury here cuz I'm not like a medical specialist but you can see my skeleton. It's weird like seeing it through an x-ray. That's one view and uh here's another one which I think is the bottom of the foot maybe let me see if I could zoom that in more. It's the midfoot so it according to the you know the report it should be somewhere in this region. I don't know where it's cracked or fractured. Fifi says you see it. I mean uh I'm not a medical expert so when I was looking at this x-ray I was like wow that foot um bone looks pretty intact. So you know me not being a medical expert and seeing my x-ray like

this like the bone still like in place for the most part. That gives me confidence that like, oh, maybe the cast or boot, if I just wear it, it'll just let my body heal. A lot of Americans are curious about the quality of healthcare in Canada. Well, I'm um, very happy now with the quality of healthcare in Canada. You just have to wait a while, um, as long as it's not a life-threatening injury. I think you're okay here, but God, God forbid, if you have like a heart attack or a stroke or something and you have to wait for the emergency room, that sucks. I mean, I know people in like life-threatening situations get um, priority to be seen, but I think there's still a little bit of a wait even if you're suffering.

So um, see if you can see the fracture from this top view of the foot there or this there. They say there's two fractures um, I'm actually going to read the X-ray report again to you so you can um, where's the X-ray reports oh here it is. So um, findings is a list Frank injury with small evulsion fracture at the medial first TMT joint. So that's the um, that's the joint all the way to the right or the left. I'm not sure if it's the right or the left and um, the second finding is fracture of the third metatarsal base with mile distraction. So the third one is clear whether if you're looking it from the right or the left. It's the third bone there that's fractured and um, they say no Mal alignment at the TMT joints soft tissue swelling over the midfoot which is

normal. It's normal for bone break areas to swell. No fracture or malalignment elsewhere. So that's my x-ray. I could show it to you all so you see what my foot looks like. Yeah, that's my uh. Why is it zoomed in so much? It's weird. All right, yeah. So if any of you are medical experts, maybe you could have seen those fractures. But for me, at an untrained eye, I was like looking, oh, could that line be a fracture? Could, is that a joint in the bone or not? But to me, it didn't really look too bad to an untrained eye. And that's probably why um the fracture doctor said, oh, only a boot is okay and let your body heal. Thanks B with the 999. Great news AK. I'm glad to see you doing much better today. Spent a lot of time with me and to bring me to the hospital and

Yeah, but great news there with the healing process. I was even watching a YouTube video on the healing process of bone breaks, and there's four stages. The first stage is inflammation. So, right when the bone breaks, there's bleeding, and that area starts bleeding, right? So, what happens is blood gets sent to that area. The white blood cells, like, they clean up that area full of germs and stuff, and it starts to swell up. So, in that stage, like, blood starts to, like, clot at that area and form a bridge between the two bones that are broken or bone that's broken, but now it's in, you know, two sections 'cause there's a break. And then, um, that process can take, like, a week, the inflammation. And then you have the next stage, which is soft callus. And what happens is, like, all that material that goes to that bone fracture site clumps together and starts making a soft tissue. So, that's when the blood starts connecting again. They form a bridge, but there's

still not really bone yet. There's no hard surface, that's why it's a soft callous. Thanks, Jod Gruz, for 10 bucks. AK so thrilled about your situation. Thank you. I know I'm really happy. And that soft callous stage happens around the two-week period, which is, you know, what the orthopedic told me yesterday. I should follow up, so maybe in two weeks, my follow-up orthopedic doctor in the US will show that there's a soft callus forming or has formed, you know. And then at around like the one-month mark, month and a half, you have the hard callus, and that's when the soft callus stage hardens up and bone is formed. Now, now that's actually the part where you can start doing normal activities again 'cause the bone is rehealed. Thanks. Oh wow, Chatsworth $1, 1979 $50. We all offer our encouragement. of you so this hard callous um stage is when actually the bone heals but it it's actually didn't heal like the way it used to be because this hard callous think of this like a straight line the hard callus is like puffy like this that's why um if you look at like my knuckles here right you would think this is straight this is like the hard callus it's it's round and then the fourth stage which takes months or years is called the Reformation stage which is when your body starts to straighten out the bone and get rid of the excess so the body is an amazing thing how it could heal itself even from bone breaks um bones they grow and they you know they uh die off the bone cells die off and they get reshaped all the time the human body is always growing and you know repairing itself which is amazing it's just that when there's like a bone break like this um if it's complicated like the bone is separated.

too far apart. That's why surgery may be needed to bring the bone fragments closer together so the body can heal faster. So, yeah, that's the amazing part about the human body. But yeah, according to my x-rays, it doesn't look that bad at all. And also what the human body does too when the bone breaks and there's fragments, you know there's going to be pieces of bone in your blood too that may get stuck in the healing process. And those pieces of bone also will eventually get dissolved by your body and carried out through your bloodstream. You know, I guess it's the same thing if you eat like a chicken bone or something by mistake. Your body takes care of it too. Just if there's like a piece of bone in your bloodstream, the body will dissolve it eventually or grow around it. You know, it's an amazing system, our human body. And now I want to follow up on what happened to me. So, this happened

on August 16th, coming back from the CN, I'll show you what happened. I have the video now, and it's better edited so you can see. I don't think there's there. Let me turn this sound. What the heck? Oh my gosh, that was a big pothole, man. Ow. All right, I'm going to stop. That was a pretty bad stumble there again for you. What the heck? Oh my gosh, that was a big pothole, man. That's what happened to me. And um, this was not any ordinary Poole, I should say. Um, you'll understand better once I show you the pictures because um, yeah, my friend Lizo went over there and followed up on it and see what caused me to fall because I can't go there anymore. And uh, you May uh, yeah, I'll let you see the picture of this hole. So that is what I fell on. It was like a utility cover, but that hole there in the asphalt is like sinking in. There's like a open gap there that the scooter tire probably just perfectly fit.

in there and looking at it from like a distance, it's even hard to tell there's a hole even there. And uh, I'll uh show you two more angles of it. Here's another one, like looking at it from a distance, you think it's just a smooth black top. And that's probably um what I thought when I was riding my scooter there. Or in this case, it was a Johnny stride scooter. And this is a closeup of it here. That's look at this. I'm going to zoom into that star Canada. And then there's like a little bit of an opening there. What? It's a perfect size for the scooter tire. Yeah. And that's what made me fall crazy. Oh man. But all things considered, I'm glad that um you know, it wasn't a worse outcome. Because what if a car was behind me and I got hit? Or um I broke something else major like my head. Thank goodness I was wearing a helmet then. Because um yeah, it was just my foot. And uh I'm glad I you know, I have a

strong lower body. Out of all the walking I was, I could do that. I was able to stop some of that momentum from the scooter, like crashing into that hole. I have a strong leg, so my left foot was like, Boom, we're stopping here. But I'm getting hurt, and I have a fractured left foot. But I'll be hopefully better in 6 weeks. Don't need surgery, which I'm very, very lucky that my LZ Frank injury fractured that part of the foot, that it's not that serious where it doesn't need surgery. So, thank goodness. I mean, I'm going to have to walk with these for a while, or I could probably order like a knee roller to get around, but much better outcome than what could have been, you know. So, yeah, I'm very fortunate that I didn't get hurt worse. Cannabis, what speed? I think that that scooter tops out at a max speed of 30 km an hour, or I think 20 M an.

hour. Lena says, I stopped with my hand, yeah. Partially, it was my foot that, well, my two feet really, is my left foot that hit the ground first. And I was running with the scooter for a while, and then I um stopped myself with my hand from falling, so that protected my head and my, you know, know my chest and everything, and uh, and my elbow a little bit. And thank goodness my elbow didn't break either 'cause my elbow hit the ground too. And um, actually, it's the human body's instinct when you fall unexpectedly to like stick your hand out or um like both hands out. But I heard that actually could be a bad thing because um your hand and your arm is very easily to get injured. It's better if you know you're going to fall to try to roll so it spreads out the surface area of the fall. But if you're in a situation like I was falling at a high speed, like you have no time to really know how you're going to fall or roll. So I'm I'm grateful like I was able

to stop a lot of that force. I mean, my left foot suffered from it clearly, but you know, I slowed down enough where this was the only thing that happened in my hand. I could have broken my hand or my wrist too, so very, very good outcome there where I have a Lisfranc injury but no surgery, and I can heal up hopefully in 6 weeks. Earl says, My wife was really heartbroken to hear about your accident, but we both pray for your speedy recovery. We both love your videos. Oh, thank you. I mean, I'm sure a lot of you were very concerned for me that day when I had that injury, and actually, that day I didn't know how badly I was injured because I thought it was just a sprain in my foot. I was like, Oh wow, I hit this pothole, I fell, but it feels like a sprain, and it'll probably get better in a few days. But I kind of knew something was up when I got back here and I woke up the

next day, and I was like, man, it's hard to walk. Like, I feel like something's off. Like, I'm doing like this, and it's like, and I was like, no, this is not a sprain. Like, something's wrong. That's why I went to the emergency department. Thanks, Ernest Connell. Appreciate it. I'm still surprised that I was able to get back that day. I still got caught in the rain, but I was able to get back on a broken foot. And maybe it was the adrenaline in my body that was helping, like helping me to get back where I didn't really feel the pain as much. But that's what the human body does when you're in a situation that your body needs to finish off. It gives you that extra boost of adrenaline to deal with it. So, oh, Lizo, that's a good idea. So, my pain right now on this foot, it's not that bad. I mean, with this boot on and being stabilized right now, I barely feel any pain at all. It's

like a level one. It's only if I think about her that I could feel the pain. It's very dull. So, I'm very happy for the outcome there that the pain isn't like a lot. It was really painful the following day, but right now I think it's going to be painful for a little bit as my body goes to the inflammation stage. It's still bloody over there, and the body's cleaning up that area until it could form the soft tissue. So, really good. Christine says in 6 weeks you'll be able to be again on the road for our great pleasure in following your adventures. Hey, um, actually I was still able to make videos with crutches. You'll maybe see that video tomorrow. I'm going to post it. So, just not being able to walk normally with my left foot doesn't stop me from going out and making videos. So, I'll improvise while I'm in my healing process, and it's not like I don't have a

lot of videos saved up from my journey up here already. I have a lot. So, uh, Andy says any medicine for the pain, ibuprofen or Tylenol. No, I don't need to take any medicine. The doctor didn't prescribe anything for me. And um, since the pain level here isn't that much, I don't really need to uh, worry about it either. I just have to stay off my left foot. I mean, uh, I've been one of the most challenging things for me is because um, I've never broken a bone before and never had to deal with crutches is adjusting the life with these because I have to do a lot of like basic tasks like going to the restroom, getting food from the kitchen, um, doing I haven't really uh, wash my hair that much. I needed help for that, but um, showering is really hard. I I may uh, wait a bit for to do that. I was able to shower uh, two days ago. I put my foot out the sliding glass door and um, kind of like shower the best I could and help a

balance, but it's tough doing it with one leg. Thank you, uh, is dead indeed. $5, glad to hear the good news. Looking forward to more tours and learning about the world other than Lonely with my Queens. I really appreciate it. Yeah, I'm gonna get better. I guarantee you, everyone, I'm going to get better and start doing more, uh, adventures and crossing my fingers I don't break any more bones or need any other medical treatment because, uh, you know, I also got food poisoning in Taiwan. I could get sick too. That's, uh, one thing I really, really dread about, um, about me too because I tend to do a lot of, um, adventuring and going out. I worry about myself sometimes getting hurt, getting sick, injured, and, um, yeah, I got hurt on this trip to Toronto. Yeah, Louis, I'm staying at an Airbnb now. It's actually a really nice one. Yeah, Lizzo, um, the pain level that night, I was like, um, it was kind of tough to sleep that night, but I wanted to wait out.

until the next day 'cause I knew it was raining, but um, I'm glad that I went to the emergency room because um, another thing too, like um, what would have happened if I just said, Oh, I could probably tough it out, it's a sprain, I won't go to the emergency room. My body would still be trying to walk on that foot, and it'll damage it even more, and maybe then I would need surgery because when you have broken bones like this, you can't put weight on it, you need to let the body heal, and if you're like trying to walk with it, you just, you're only going to make it worse. But yeah, life with uh crutches is very interesting. You're going to see a video on me adjusting with crutches, going up and downstairs, um, heating up food, getting around. It's, it's uh, it's challenging, and it's using muscles in my body that I'm not used to, like uh, under my armpits here. I mean, who, who really use these muscles anyway when like you're not

normally using them. I got it crutch forward. Yeah, Nicole, it was a good call to go to the hospital. I'm very happy that I did. Um, and it's also a good thing that um, I had it um, casted right away because could you imagine like if I try to like do stuff normally and I try to drive and oh gosh, it would not be a good site to you know have an even more broken foot to deal with later on. Thanks uh borue 52 with twoo. I appreciate the support H flag us say so many do people do that avoid the ER um. You can contact ER ahead of time and find out the waiting time of course. Insurance factors too. You can um avoid the wait. Yeah, I mean um no one wants to be in the emergency room right but I'm glad I did and uh I can understand because um Canada's Health Care system isn't perfect. The emergency rooms they have a long wait sometimes and in my case um I got there at um I think was like 2:30 in the

afternoon, and um, I didn't get seen until like 8:30, I think, at night, and I was there until like, uh, I would say like a good 2 hours after that. I didn't get back here until like 11:00 at night, so yeah, spent all day at the hospital on the day after the injury, the August 17th, and then the Fracture Clinic yesterday. My appointment was 9:30 in the morning, I got seen at 11:30 in the morning, and I was out by maybe like 12:15, 12:30, and I couldn't be happier with the speed of that. I mean, I guess, um, if they really wanted to, they didn't even need to schedule me for the fracture um Clinic. They probably could have done it the same day at the emergency room after seeing the CT scan, and the specialist could have been there, oh, fit the boot on you then, but they had to cast me up, and I had to come back uh 2 days later. I mean, that was kind of

unnecessary, but you know I didn't want to wait anymore, and they probably didn't want more patience to be held up either because there's a long wait for the other people. So, and it says Toronto is the place to get hurt. Medical bill will be high in the states. Happy you're well. Well, I guess that's one positive to put it. I would think the medical costs here in Toronto are going to be much less than the US, especially in a major city like New York City where medical costs are sky-high. Even if you have insurance in the US, there's deductibles and copays and a lot of insurance like they have high deductibles, so they may not even cover most of it. I mean, I still don't know what my total costs are going to be, but in terms of costs to get admitted to the emergency room here in Toronto was 800 Canadian. That's even if you decide to leave after paying. I had to pay first and then wait.

6 hours. I'm sure a lot of people, they get fed up and they like waiting, waiting, waiting, even though they do have a valid emergency, and end up leaving after paying the 800 bucks. But I had to pay uh 800 Canadian for the emergency visit, and 53 Canadian for the crutches, and also um anything extra during the emergency um visit. They're going to bill me in the mail um most likely. The X-ray is going to be on there, as well as the CT scan, which is probably going to be um the most expensive part of the visit. I think the CT scan um I don't know um how they're going to follow up with that, and um for this Fracture Clinic specialist, it was $175 Canadian to see the fracture specialist, and 220 Canadian for the boot. So um let me convert that for you actually. I'm curious since I have my computer up. I could uh so 800 Canadian for the emergency room visit was uh $588, and I paid uh 53 Canadian for the

crutches, which is uh $39 US, and then it was $175 for the Fracture Clinic, $129, and for the boot is $220, which is $162. So um, I think the medical bill would have been much higher if I went to see um the emergency room or specialists in the US. I mean, I'm still going to have to, I'm not going to be able to avoid a lot of my medical costs by getting most of it done here in Canada. I still have to get a follow-up visit Orthopedic once I'm in the US, follow-up X-rays, and uh um exam too. So at least I got my first um visit here, the emergency room, and the follow-up Fracture Clinic um at a discounted rate compared to what I would have paid in the US. So that's uh very good um. Now I want to tell you about my Logistics too. So um, I'm going to get some help getting back to the US. My um initial plan here in Toronto was to stay here until

tomorrow and leave tomorrow. Unfortunately, because of my incident of me breaking my foot, I wasn't able to make videos or go to places that I wanted to do here in Toronto. But at least I'm very grateful that I was able to cover and make videos of the places that I was able to, like Niagara Falls and places around here in Toronto, like Chinatown, and live stream for a little bit, meet my friends, have some good food. And I got to see the CN Tower for the first time. Although that's the only day I'm going to be able to see it, I was hoping maybe I could see it another day, but at least I made a video of that. I posted it. So, my father is actually going to be coming in today to Toronto. He's flying in from New York City to help me out. And we're going to be driving out tomorrow back to New York City. So, my schedule is still on track to go back to New York City. I know having my dad

here is going to be a big help. He'll help me pack everything and drive too, so yeah, glad about that, that he's able to come up here and help me drive back. I don't have to be stressed about that because, yeah, what a bummer that would have been to, you know, I'll be stuck here and worrying about moving and accommodations and asking help from people to help me pack everything. It's, I don't know, how would have done it actually being able to walk with just crutches and everything. So yeah, he's going to help me out to drive. Oh, in terms of driving also, the doctor said I could drive, but you just have to check the legality of it, and I did. In the US, there's no hard cut and clear answer as to if you can drive with a foot injury or not. The good thing about me is that I'm not as injured as I thought I was going to be, and the injury is on my left.

foot not my right, so I could still rest my left foot and use my right foot to drive if needed. But, um, that actually wasn't my major concern, though, about driving. It's about, um, the human needs: eating, using the restroom, and um, that could be a challenge, like going through these rest areas, and you have to get out of the car with crutches, which is going to be tough. You know, got to take it out and put it on your armpits and bring it to a restroom which may or may not have handicap access. It's a big chore, but now that my dad is coming to help me out, um, be much easier because he could, uh, help me use the restroom, and maybe I could help him drive too. I could still drive. I feel confident driving. It's just that, uh, yeah, the just dealing with the human needs is going to be hard with crutches. I'm still adjusting to these. It's still not easy. Anthony says he drove to Toronto instead of taking a plane. Yep, I did, and

um actually, if you haven't seen it, I premiered the video yesterday: the entire drive from New York City to Toronto via Niagara Falls. It was epic and probably the longest single recorded video that I've ever made—an hour and a half long, pretty much—which is, uh, yeah, really, really long. And it seems to get—it seems to be well received already. I hope, uh, it gets more popular because I know, like, it's a fascinating topic: what it's like to drive to a different country and, like, go past the border and see, like, different sites along the road. Who knows, it might even be, uh, more popular than my cross-country road trip from New York City to LA and then LA to Miami back to the East Coast. and uh my injury set me back, but hey, at least I was able to get a lot of stuff done before I got hurt, and you'll be seeing it on my channel too as I publish it. And um, I'll also think of ways to make videos while I'm injured too. It's not like this injured foot is going to set me back like uh from making videos. I'm more confident about it now and very grateful that I wasn't hurt more. I'm definitely going to look into um getting a knee scooter so I could just, you know, knee my way around and not KNE to like use these crutches that hurt your upper body and are cumbersome to use. These crutches are good, but I think it's only really um for short distances or within your own home. Dealing with stairs also, you could use crutches for, whereas a knee scooter, you can't deal with stairs like with the knee scooter. Cynthia says, Get a scooter. Yeah, looking into one. It's actually kind of funny because um, what made me get in, got made me got

injured was an e-scooter, but I'm getting another scooter. But this one's not a motorized one; it's just a human body-powered with my right foot. Just put my knee up on the padding and push you with my right foot, and I can still make videos with it too because I could just mount a camera on the handlebars and just KNE my way around. So, it might be interesting to make a video with that. I mean, if anything in my body is strong, it's my two feet and legs, you know that. And that's probably why I didn't get hurt as much as I did too because I have strong feet and legs. If I didn't, you know, exercise all the time with my feet and legs, could you imagine how serious my injuries might have been? And I may have needed surgery, or it might have shattered my whole foot. I was basically on the ground at like 20 M an hour, maybe a little bit slower, but I was able to stop a lot.

I'm going to be like, Oh, and it has brakes too. It's but uh, doing with crutches is I can't imagine doing a video with crutches unless someone else is recording me or I might have to like wear it on a chest cam or something or a helmet cam. Dream machine says he knew someone who used a knee scooter about a decade ago. Yeah, we'll see. I mean um uh, I may have to like test it out for a little bit 'cause I don't know um how sturdy they are or how far they can go. I guess it really depends on your own human body too because um I'm really going to put a lot of work on my right foot right to uh push myself and who knows if that will put like a lot of pressure on your knee too because

your knee. This part here, it's going to be on the scooter the whole time, so it may put a lot of weight there. And, uh, if you're like stuck there, I don't know. Hey, Marg D, 20 bucks. have help. Um, I might have to like, uh, I don't know, hire someone to help me out here to, uh, to wrap up my stuff or to hire a driver to go back to New York City, man. Uh, Maxine says, Get a small pillow or something for that knee. Yeah, that could work. I mean, I have to see maybe if, um, if I'm comfortable enough with it. I could, uh, go into some Manhattan with it and bring the knee scooter on the subway. The only problem with, uh, New York City subway is that, uh, it's not as accessible as, um, I'd like it to be. There are stations which are better than others for accessibility, so I'll have to look into that. But yeah, I could definitely try to make videos in New York with the knee scooter if I can, if I could like stroll myself to make it that far. And, um, another thing too with the subway system too is that, um, some of the stations that say they're accessible, they are while they are some

of these elevators. They're located in weird places, like, uh, they're like in the part of the platform where in order to access the elevator, you need to be like in a different part of the subway car to get off to access it. Otherwise, like, the platform will be too narrow for like a scooter to go by or a wheelchair. It's really like not thought out well. Um, I was even remarking in Taiwan when I was there in Tye how even the sidewalks there, they, some businesses, they have the platform up here and it'll be over here and like, it's, it's horrible for

accessibility there, but yeah, having a knee scooter and um New York will be pretty good. I could still make videos with it, maybe not um as long, but we'll see. I'll try to manage. Yeah, there's can also be uneven sidewalks too. It's annoying um, you don't even have to be um disabled to notice like imperfections in the sidewalk too. Even me when I'm traveling with luggage and I'm like pulling it or pushing it, I notice when there's cracks in the road. I'm like oh come on, like I have to move my way around it and getting on to the elevators with luggage. It's a chore when uh you realize that you need to deal with these things um. Another another um place where you see it too is um if you know you don't even have to be disabled, you have a baby stroller, you're push pushing around an infant or young child and you got to navigate all these cracks with your with your baby and you got to like

lift it up and everything, at least with crutches here, you can manage some cracks and uneven surfaces, 'cause he could just hop up on the leg and just push up off the crutches. But with wheels, it's, uh, if the surface is uneven, you really can't do anything about it. You have to, like, be helped or go around it somewhere somehow. Canabis says, uh, you bike in Ottawa, the roads are terrible because of the cold winters. I noticed it here in, uh, Toronto. Um, I'm sure the harsh winters here do a number on the roads. Um, uneven surfaces, cracks, and everything. I mean, even, uh, riding the scooter here, I made a lot of videos on the scooter before I got hurt, actually. I noticed there were a lot of, like, cracks in the surfaces and everything. It's just that this particular one that I fell in, gosh, that one. Yeah, it looks flat from, uh, if you're not looking out for it, you think, Oh, it's a smooth road surface, but it was not smooth at

all sometimes the bigger holes and like uh and cracks you can see them because it's pretty obvious. It's like, oh look at that big hole, man. You can be um, you can go around it, but something like this, man, even if you uh were looking for it, it'll take you a good like few seconds to recognize that there's an imperfection there. And because like the top of it is black, you would think, oh oh look, it's smooth, he can go over it, but nope. I happen to be the lucky one where the scooter wheel happened to fit exactly where that crevice is, and uh yep, fling me off the scooter, made me lose balance. Yeah, I don't know why this does it when I zoom in, but anyway um, I think I'm going to wrap up this live stream, folks. I want to get some breakfast now.
