One: Understanding your worth in the eyes of Allah. Our self-worth is intrinsic and granted by Allah, meaning it comes from within and is given to us by our creator. Each of us has a unique and important purpose in this life. To understand this better, let's reflect on Surah Al-Infitar: O man, what has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous, who created you, fashioned you perfectly?

and gave you due proportion. These verses remind us that Allah carefully created us with great attention and generosity, giving us an honorable and dignified position. Understanding that our worth is divinely given helps us realize that we are valuable and significant. It means that our value is not based on our appearance, wealth, or social status, but on our very existence and the fact that we are created by Allah. Embracing this truth can boost your self-esteem because it reassures you that you are inherently valuable and loved by Allah. Remembering your worth in Allah's eyes helps you to appreciate yourself more, leading to a healthier self-image and greater confidence. Build your self-esteem. Building self-esteem starts with recognizing your strengths and achievements. Take time to reflect on the unique blessings and talents that Allah has bestowed upon you. Each of us has been given special abilities and qualities that make us who we are. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face. This means that even the smallest

act of kindness or positivity can have a significant impact. Celebrate your small victories, whether it's completing a task, helping someone, or learning something new. Understand that every good deed, no matter how small, adds value to your life and contributes to your self-worth. Acknowledge your progress and give yourself credit for the efforts you make every day. This recognition helps build a positive self-image and strengthens your self-esteem. Believe in Your Potential. Believe in the potential that Allah has placed within you. Allah has given each of us unique abilities and strengths. Surah Ashar says, So verily, with the hardship, there is relief. Verily, with the hardship, there is relief. This verse reassures us that every difficulty we face is accompanied by ease and opportunities for growth. When you encounter challenges, remember that these are tests from Allah meant to strengthen you. Face your fears with faith in Allah. Remember, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. This means that when you keep Allah in your heart and rely on Him during good times, He will support you during difficult times. When you encounter a fearful situation, remind yourself that Allah is always with you. This thought alone can give you the strength to face your fears. For example, if you are afraid of public speaking, remember that Allah is there to guide you and help you find the right words. By trusting in Allah's support and practicing your skills, you can overcome

your fear and gain confidence. Your faith gives you the inner strength to confront and conquer your fears, knowing that you are never alone. Accept yourself. Self-acceptance is a key component of self-esteem. It means recognizing and acknowledging your flaws and imperfections without being overly critical or harsh on yourself. Understand that nobody is perfect, and everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Accepting yourself as you are is the first step towards loving yourself. Allah created each of us uniquely with our own set of strengths, talents, and challenges. Our differences are part of His perfect design, and they make us who we are. Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on your own journey and growth. Embrace who you are by being kind and compassionate to yourself. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him, emphasized the importance of strength and striving for excellence when he said, The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer. While there is good in both. When you set high standards, you are essentially setting goals that push you to perform at your highest potential. For example, in your professional life, this might mean going beyond the minimum requirements of your job, seeking additional responsibilities, and continually improving your skills. In your personal life, it could mean being disciplined about your daily routines, such as maintaining a regular prayer schedule, eating healthy, and exercising regularly. High standards also extend to your moral

and ethical behavior. It involves being honest, keeping your promises, treating others with kindness and respect, and upholding justice. By living up to these high standards, you not only gain self-respect but also earn the respect and admiration of others. People are naturally drawn to those who demonstrate integrity and excellence.
