talana Exiles, welcome to another Path of Exile 1 video. Almost every Path of Exile player either doesn't care, doesn't know, or outright hates the Path of Exile lore. This is due to how much is presented to players. If it were more organic, more action-oriented, or cinematic like much of PoE's endgame and PoE 2's story seem to be, more players would enjoy it. But you're not in-game presently, and PoE 2 isn't here yet, so I'll be your guide to the quickest rundown of the need-to-know story elements for PoE 3.25, Settlers of Calgar. Seriously, even if you think you want to ignore the lore of PoE, you don't. It's great. This is for the cow G. We are going to explore three lore facets that might relate to 3.25 in about 10 minutes while weaving it all together. We're looking at four characters, three locations, and two plots. If you hate it, I did a poor job. If you love it, I give all.

the credit to the folks writing all about the world of Ray clast. Four returning characters are confirmed for Settlers of calgar: Danik, a scald, and Warrior of great Renown; the leader of the Expedition from calgar, a local we shall discuss very soon; Tujan, a ruthless Haggler, loyal friend, and oddly cheerful man from calgar; Rag, a logistics and planning specialist with a knack for board games, all also from calgar; and Fus, captain of the marene, admiral of the Athan Navy, and master Smuggler. In the brief teaser, we see Danik hop off his ship and greet Fus merrily. It's likely these characters, who've never met before, are all working together in this expansion. But why? Well, Danik, Tuan, and Rag are all members of the Expedition party introduced in 3.15 Expedition League. Back then, they sailed to rast from kg in search of ancient relics of their people buried deep beneath the cursed soil of rast. Obviously, with our

help! They succeeded and discovered a wealth of treasured artifacts of the Calgar, including the Trilian Flame which they destroyed in the battle with Oloth. These Calgar, oddly enough, weren't interested in what we value the most in Rayclast: Virtue Gems, known in-game as the Skill and Support Gems we socket into our gear. To the Calgar, and to Danik specifically, they are useless. The Calgar believed the power lies within the user of the gem, not inside the gem itself. Gem is useless to the Calgar. As for Fus, his involvement here is obvious. As the new Admiral of the Oran Navy, the most powerful sea power in this part of Rast, and the favored smuggler of the Rogue Harbor, he's helping transfer goods, likely artifacts, for the Calgar, which is totally not legal or so we'd think. However, in the teaser, the interaction between the two groups is benign in the open sunlight, and everything hints toward the Calgar settling somewhere once more, and Fus helping them in that pursuit. Thousands.

of years before our time, on the shores of Rast, the Calgar forcefully colonized large swamps of the land. This time, with Danik at the lead, things might be different. We might be getting a far more wholesome interaction of the Calgar between the current inhabitants of Rast, and not the dark conquest led by the Expedition bosses. We unearth the tombs of during log book encounters Medved B of Heroes, Verana last to fall, UTD Covetous traitor, and Oloth origin of the [Music] Fall. Next, we need to discuss three locations relevant in Pu 3.25. Calgar is a far-off land, home to the Cgar. The Calgar are a proud people defined by their pursuit of renown amidst the harsh realities of mortal life, something all the folk of Rayclast understood well too. Their warriors seek glory on battlefields, while others venture on daring quests to the edge of the known world. Like each member of the Calgar Expedition, dissimilar to the people of

Ray clast they craft armor adorned with runes that harness Starlight for deadly purposes. Forged by skilled Smiths known as artificers, they don't use virtue gems and believe the power we think lies inside them actually lies inside the individual. They also don't respect the powers of thury divinity or corruption but the might of artifice. Their Legends speak of artifacts like the truscan flame, a powerful Relic brought to the continent ages ago capable of incinerating evil and purifying lands but committing far more horrific acts in the hands of the wrong Tyrant. Their priests venerate knowledge not Gods though they acknowledge the existence of beings who might claim Divinity. Even the members of the culture in the current day only just discovered the existence of gods as for in their land gods do not exist. Now the Rogue Harbor is a den for thieves, Vagabond, and those looking to stick it to the wealthy or downright dastardly. It's where Fus and the rest of the heist Rogues are based and a local

where shady dealings are had, it's seemingly always shrouded in a mild darkness, which makes me think we will not be meeting with Fus and the Expedition crew in it. Instead, all roads point to a location not currently in Path of Exile 1. Kings March in Path of Exile 2 Kings March is the act for town, the base of operations from which we skip from Island to Island by boat with the Expedition crew already mentioned earlier in the video. Rag Tuan danig, they're all there in pee2, but we've not a clue of what or where Kings March is in pee1, possibly until now. Now we must overview two key plots we might flesh out further in Settlers of Cur. First, the settlement of Ray class by the calgar. They tried to inhabit the land thousands of years ago when the B ruination was young. That endeavor failed, but their people always yearned to return, not only to recover their beloved artifacts and wipe their living dead from the map, but to give the expansion

of their domain a second go 3.25 might be that second chance, and they might do so with Kings March led by Danig. The Calgar could, with our help, settle in Kings March and build up the town during the time of Pue1. So by Pue2, which happens 20 years after the end of Pue1, it's a fully fledged Port. There's a bit more meta knowledge on this too. In Pue2, Gwenan is not present in Kings March, and she's not present in this teaser at all. Could this further be hinting one of the OG Expedition crew is gone at this point in time? And thusly, all the way forward in Pue2, second, the Calgar don't believe virtue gems are of use or contain power. They imbue their weapons and armor with runes, artifice made. Might into objects they hint at its incredible abilities. Essentially, they capture Starlight into said runes, and the magic of the Stars empowers their armaments. This could be a

special reward tied to the league mechanic. A new type of crafting or influence system. We could etch runes into our gear to unlock new valuable modifiers, implicits, or even Star-based skills. If you took nothing away from this brief step into Path of Exile's lore, take away these three lines: The Karlar are a people from a distant land who do not believe in gods or the power of gems. They instead derive their strength from runes imbued with light captured from the stars. Fus Defense is a smuggler turned illegal admiral of Rayclass' largest navy who appears to be working with the Karlar to construct something grand, led by Donig, the warrior-scholar. It's likely the Karlar are settling Rayclass for the first time in thousands of years and building a port town we might see 20 years in the future as a fully fledged settlement, Kingsmarch.
