between one of the sets, my friend came up to me. You know, we just started to have a little small talk, a little conversation. But in my mind, in the back of my head, I had this one idea; I wanted to share a story that was

sitting on my mind, but I just didn't know how to word it. You know that feeling? It's like you want to say something, but you just don't know how to actually express it out of your mind. It's like the mind-mouth connection is

malfunctioning; you don't know what to do. And as I was standing there just thinking, okay, how do I say it so that it makes sense? It was a random story from what happened in school—right?—nothing

important, but I just didn't know how to say it because there were so many side plots I needed to mention, so many things. I didn't even know where to start. And in my mind, I just started to think about it, and at one point I just thought

To myself, yeah, just shut up, just shut up, just get to the point. So I tell my friends that, okay, I'm just going to do one more set and I'm just going to tell you a story about something, and they're cool. They're pretty cool, just pretty...

much what happened. I go to my bench press or lateral raise—I don't even remember what exercise I was doing, but that's not relevant. Right as I was done and I sat down in the exact same spot where I was resting, suddenly I have like

five people standing around me, all almost in a circle, whilst I was sitting there. And I was just talking to them, right? But as I took a deep breath, I thought about what I wanted to say. I started talking about it; I held their attention for a solid few minutes and

based on that, okay, it was like a—it was a story with a joke at the end of it, right? So everybody found it funny, and we were able to like base the conversation from there. That's the power of storytelling, my friend. This is one of the most viable

skills you can develop in general—in sales, social skills, anywhere. It's it's very significant, and especially in the modern era where people—people can't get their hands off of their phones. I bet you didn't look this video up now; you were just scrolling on your phone and

then you thought, this—you found this one random guy in a beanie that you've never watched before, and you thought to yourself, yeah, this guy's pretty cool. Exactly. Oh, wait, I didn't mean it like that, but you get the point, right? Especially in the modern era where

Everybody's just hooked onto their phones. The ability to make people stop and actually listen to you is very valuable, my friend. When you have the power to make people listen to you, the stuff that you want to happen is much more likely once you're able to

persuade your thinking onto others' minds, it's very viable. You can kind of start to imagine the implementations for this, right? As I said, whether that's through sales, speaking to people in general, public speaking especially, it's very viable, right? And you

don't even have to be super good at it, as long as you're able to actually express what's on your mind to other people. It's amazing. Now, I won't lie to you; while I like to believe my speaking skill is pretty good on

camera, my storytelling is not the best. Like, I won't lie to you, my average view duration kind of reflects that; it's pretty inconsistent, right? But that's not relevant; that doesn't matter, right? What matters is that as long as you keep practicing it, as long as you tell more

stories throughout your conversations, that skill will genuinely develop over time. Did I say genuinely or generally? I want to say generally. Yeah, I'm not cutting out anything from this video; I'm the most authentic guy out here. But that's pretty much it: Just master the art of storytelling
