Tony Stark is one of the most well-known Marvel characters, mainly because of the massive success of the Iron Man and subsequent MCU movies. He's brilliant, witty, and extremely confident. Now, Tony wasn't always the incredibly talented genius we know and love. How did he become so smart? Well, if we look at his history, we know that Tony entered MIT at age 15, where he double-majored in physics and engineering, graduating with a master's degree in each. He went on to earn multiple PhDs, invent and improve upon many, many things, and create some of the most innovative tech in the Marvel world. Now, this may sound daunting, but as a guy who also entered college at age 15, I can tell you that it's not impossible. Let's look at four things that Tony does to help guarantee his success: one, focus on

his strengths. Tony isn't interested in becoming good at something he's bad at. He's interested in becoming exceptional at something he's already good at. We all have our natural strengths and weaknesses, and we will achieve far more success if we focus on building our strengths rather than making our weaknesses adequate. 

Two delegate. This goes hand in hand with the previous point, but Tony doesn't do stuff that he sucks at or that he's not interested in. He has AI and personal assistance that help take care of the dry business stuff he's not into. Pepper Potts is one example. You don't have to make huge piles of money to do this either. Just find someone that is good at and enjoys the things that you are not good at and that are holding you back, and work together with them to achieve a mutually beneficial goal.

Three learn constantly. This is where the success at school and in life comes in. Tony Stark makes absorbing new knowledge every single day a priority. If you devote just an hour of your life to

learning a particular subject every day in a year. You'll have learned the equivalent of a full PhD program worth of credit hours. Four do constantly. Tony doesn't just read books and stop there. He continually tinkers, experiments, and puts his learning into action, which rapidly increases his knowledge, growth, retention, and overall understanding of a subject. This is how he is able to link together his knowledge of physics, electrical engineering, robotics, programming, and biology by mashing them together in real-world experiments. So, to review, if you want to become as smart as Tony Stark, you need to: one, focus on and amplify your strengths, not your weaknesses; two, delegate the things you suck at to people who can do them better than you; three, learn all the time, seek to absorb new knowledge every single day; and four, do something with that knowledge, play with what you've learned.
