I just wanted to put something forth to you guys, maybe to the community at large, something I just kind of stumbled upon, and frankly, it's got me stumped. As most of you probably know, I spend a great deal of time in the beer. If I am not the most experienced beastiary player in the game, I'm certainly up there, and that is not a pat myself on the back thing, but rather to say if I don't understand something about the Beary, there's probably a problem. Now, what is the issue? Well, for the longest time, I've operated under the assumption that the BC area has had a 1,000 total Beast cap. This has been a well-established number, and all documentation that I looked up agrees with this. And so, today, before I started stream, I was working on this ring here, this triple synth, the three max charge ring, and so I wanted to

frontload a bunch of rare Beast. As you can see here, got two quad tabs of rare Beast, Vivid vultures, and Crat chimeral. Because the Beast cap was a th000, I thought I would put 200 vultures, 50 CRC Chim arrows, and 750 rares, since you need three rares for every one uh Red Beast or so vulture or cchi. That would work out perfectly: 250 vultures and cchi, 750 rares. And I noticed that the um, after a while of equipping rares, it felt like I was exceeding a thousand. So I went to go to a check with my friend, freefor all here, freefor all, say hello. Hello, it's me. Hello, it's me. There we go, there's the personal shining through. That's why I hire him. All right, um, and uh, if you go to your Beast area here and down to captured beasts, you can go through this. And so uh, freefor all, uh, if you could follow along with me on a

calculator here you ready we'll do yep all right 52 plus 101 plus one plus 5050 plus 45 plus 449 some of these guys have hilarious names by the way like some of the rare Beast you capture have total porn star names skull crusher the wicked okay actually I guess that'd be kind of a weird poor no name I take that one back um 64 plus 64 plus 146 plus 85 can you give me a verbal CU just like a yes or no when you get these down yep we're good yep yeah uh plus 59 yep plus 51 all right what's the total total is 1,13 the total is 1,13 which if you look here is the same thing that I got so twist chat what's the problem with this well it's not really a problem as it were being having a larger Beast cap is great but what the [ __ ] is the Beast cap now why is this an issue cuz I went to go and check this out as you can see here the reason I

stopped eventually adding rares was because you get this message here in chat. This Beast has uh successfully been added to your bagie uh and then the next one will be after this Beast. Your Menagerie has no more room for beasts of this type, which is funnily enough a message that is sent four times in a row while I add the exact same Beast. Of course, you're clicking pretty quickly um but you know I was just adding rares so no biggie. So I stopped adding rares. I wouldn't did the math and I noticed I was 103 beasts over the cap so I was curious maybe it's just a rare R Beast Thing versus a red Beast thing. And if you're unsure by the way if you're not super familiar with Beast har a rare Beast uh is a yellow Beast. So these are the the ones that are here um and a red Beast is a one that has like a named thing when you're looking at captured beasts. A red Beast uh like cic chimeral

you see how it has 3D art and how it's got these two lines of red text. This one says cic presence in hadal dive. This one's winter Bloom and deep one's presence, right? And then Vivid vulture, for example, it's also got 3D art and two lines of red text. Whereas a rare Beast or a yellow Beast is one like this, which is just an outline or a paw print, right? And it has one line of red text. And then when you're crafting things, the vast majority of Beast crafts take one red Beast, which has a name. So like every Red Beast will always be the same. sacaan Roa will always be sacaan Roa. Vivid vulture will always be Vivid vulture, you know? fenal plag racon will always be fenal plague racon. The rare beasts are the yellow ones that have these constantly changing names like hairy bite, wrath claw, DUS tooth, etc. Um, just in case you don't know how to distinguish the two. So in any case, uh, I

was getting these messages here to digress a bit um and I I noticed that I was over 1100 beasts captured which um you know while it isn't like gamebreaking um it is rather important because uh when you go over the cap it starts to remove beasts uh there I actually have a very um sort of prominent Reddit post from quite some time ago um uh Vivid vulture where um the Beast just started removing here it is the Beast just started removing um like half a mirror of vivid vultures so uh this is two years ago beastiary just deleted um half a mirror of vivid vultures despite following every single possible measure I could with respect to bottling Beast for cap reasons exhaust of list and thread was doing a mirror crafting cian blah blah blah I went and checked all of these different things eye level oldest newest same eye level rares Reds totals Harvest Beast genus subgenus alphabetical considerations I was doing it on stream with like 200 people watching and no one could figure out

what the issue was. You can see here this has 1.1k of votes and 306 comments. This post actually was not solely responsible, but this is one of the catalyzing things that caused GG to finally make updates to The Menagerie. You see, when you have the option to release them like this previously, you actually had to bottle these to remove them. So, following the uproar that happened from that post and the fact that it was so widely seen, GG did make some changes. Now, up until this point, like the Beast, it still is sort of annoying to use at times, in particular rare beasts. It's a pretty strong testament to how poorly optimized the whole UI and system are, the fact that the bcer as a mechanic has existed in the game for like five years, and I would say more than half of people I interact with don't understand the difference between rare beasts and red, and you know what different options are.

possible through the Minag R is something that the average person just doesn't interact with unless they're kind of a dedicated crafter. In my experience, you know, the Harvest beasts that they've added recently have certainly helped with that. I think that was back in sanctum, but by and large, there are a lot of things that are sort of obfuscated with it. And this has sort of been one of the things that has kind of always been well established, the Beast cap. So, the total amount of beasts that you can have in your Beast Yuri was a th000. This is what it says on pob, on the wiki, everywhere. And as we just went through there, I have 113 beasts. And as you can see, after this Beast, you're going to remove another Beast of this type. So, I wanted to see, was that just because of rare Beast? So, I went over here and I added another CRC chimera for evidence of

that CR chimera. You can see I now have 51 CR chimeras, right? 200, 50, and you can see here it did indeed. Your menagerie was full, so in older Beast, the Dara Elder, Bless Cobra, which is just a rare, was removed to make space. Um, and so it removed a rare, and it added the cic. And so what is it about 113 that finally hit the cap? I am very, very confused. Um, I realized that part of this video, probably, you know, good portions of this maybe didn't make sense to some of you. Um, but I legitimately want to put this question kind of forward to everyone, and maybe we could get some clarity here because, um, if you do a lot of Beast crafting, uh, and GGG has made Beast crafting, um, incredibly, incredibly strong. Synth items are widely considered to be the strongest in the game, um, and the variety and plethora of, uh, different, uh, uh, Beast crafts that were added through Harvest Beast, um, not to mention, uh, the inclusion of, uh, black Morgan crafts last League, um, has made

Beast here more relevant than ever. Um, and simple basic functionality like this just uh. I mean, it's baffling to me that these kinds of things are still uh out in the uh. The Ether, so to speak. So um, you know, maybe I'm tripping uh. Free-for-all, he agrees with me here again. Free-for-all just made some verbal hello. All right, thanks there pal.
