I'm actually in my shop in England. I'll just give you a little glimpse of my

little shop. I'm just working on a dress that's finished, a couple of jackets—a jacket I'm finishing off for a

customer, some shirts, blah, blah, blah. So anyway, so I'm actually out in my shop now. I'm going to show you how to

sharpen your chalk, which a lot of tailors do. And we have these gizmos that you're

thinking of buying. They're quite good, but they're not very good, and this has got metal, uh, little blades inside, and they still

don't sharpen your chalk adequately. Okay, I'm going to show you a very simple method, okay, which most

tailors will do. So if you get your—um, here I use either some paper scissors, you can see here—I'm

just going to bring this up here—or a blunt razor blade. Now in England, there's—we have many shops

called Poundland, and um, so I buy a pack of these. I think there's a pack of ten, but don't use sharp ones,

please, because it will—it will—it'll kind of cut into the chalk. Use blunt ones. So the secret to this is having blunt

blades. Okay. Um, so this is—these are just normal little paper scissors, so they're quite blunt. Okay, now get your edge—your chalk

Can you see this now? This is kind of...this needs sharpening. Okay, so if you get the edge...

I'm going to use this side. Okay, just go right on the edge with your blade. Okay, I hope that hasn't shown...

there. And then just right on the edge, just go right onto the edge of the chalk and just...you see...

So I'm actually sharpening the edge of the chalk. Okay, I'm just using my blade to guide it.

I'm gliding over the edge. Go right to the edge. Okay, so you can actually use...you can actually...

go at an angle as well. Okay, and then go to the other side. Let's get...as well, you can actually just do...

that, or you can just get a little angle. When you get a bit more experience, you can use the angle. Okay, and just use that...

That's a bit sharp a base, so I'm just going to just use a more blunt...the more blunt the blade is,

it's easier. Can you see what I'm doing? Go right to the edge and get a nice...and there we have it. Okay.

Now you can use your scissors—paper scissors—as well. Do the same method. Can you see that? Right there, we have it. Okay, just be...

careful when you get to the edge. Just...you want to get a nice straight line. You want...you don't want a jagged edge. Okay.

And there we have it, a nice sharp edge. Okay, so I'm just going to just quickly show you...just um...you can see upside down the...

chalk's gone over the place. Excuse me for that. Let me just brush that off so you can see how sharp now my line is.

Okay, so I'm just going to just draw a line. Okay, there we have it. Got a nice line.

Okay, so now you've got these, which you might...you're thinking of getting, so I'm going to try and sharpen...

That little edge there. Okay, it didn't do a very good job. You can see I'm going up.

It's okay, but it's not very good. See, it's a thicker line as well. You want a... when you're sharpening

your chore, you want a thin line. Okay? You don't want a thick line. Okay? So that's what you've got to try and
