This time, we have two different Honda vehicles: one is an RV and the other is an SUV. We will compare the third-generation facelifted Pilot with the fifth-generation Odyssey, examining the strengths and weaknesses of each vehicle.

The vehicle I am currently testing is the Honda Pilot, which is a third-generation model, specifically the facelifted version, so you could refer to it as the 3.5 generation. The strongest rival of the Honda Pilot is the Ford Explorer, which is an American vehicle. The Ford Explorer is indeed the main competitor of the Honda Pilot that I am currently test-driving. Following that, there is the Nissan Pathfinder, the Lexus RX 450 gasoline model, and the Hyundai Palisade that has recently been released. Additionally, the Honda Odyssey shares the same engine as the fifth-generation Odyssey, which is the i-VTEC V6, a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine. This engine uses direct injection technology. The model I am currently driving is a gasoline version, and it has some unique features compared to the Odyssey.

It's quiet here, and I feel quite a bit of power coming from the car. Maybe it's because we're on a mountain road. The ride comfort isn't bad at all; in fact, it's quite good. I'm currently in sport mode, and it handles well even on these winding roads. Looking at this vehicle, it's a model that has been proven in the U.S. market. It's the 9 3 3 APEL version, and it's a car that has sold quite well in America. It's not a soul vehicle, nor is it a sports car, so it's not designed for that type of driving. However, I want to see how the balance and driving dynamics of this car perform on uphill and hilly roads. By the way, the Odyssey has a different setup; this one features an all-wheel-drive system, and it's always in four-wheel drive. I've made sure to display the dashboard for the viewers to see.

Currently, regarding the weight distribution of the vehicle on the road, we can see that it is transmitted to the chassis. However, on uphill roads, it seems that most of the drive is focused on the front wheels. How is the ride quality? It seems that the seat has become a bit uncomfortable. The second point is that the Smith model bounces a little more than the Odyssey; the body is slightly higher. Should we check the information at the front? I haven’t mentioned it yet, but since it is an SUV, which stands for Sports Utility Vehicle, we need to understand that it is designed for multiple purposes. Compared to RVs, it is naturally going to be a bit taller. Also, since it runs on gasoline, the fuel efficiency is not particularly satisfactory. Even though it might be lighter than the Odyssey, I think the fuel efficiency won’t be better. If one is considering fuel efficiency, they wouldn’t choose this model.

그리고 이 위에 최고의 단점이 뭐냐면, 포드의 익스플로러랑 비교했을 때 차 가격이 그렇게 비싼 건 아니야. 왜냐하면 익스플로러와 대등했을 때, 근데 지금 현대에서 펠리세이드가 낮아졌잖아. 나의 사랑이. 근데 타이슨 3와 비교하면, 내가 보기에는 차 값이 너무 비싸. 거의 예가 지금 5400부터 시작되니까, 만약에 엘리트로 가면 그게 6000만원이 되거든. 그러면 저라면, 오히려 보다는 차라리 오디세이를 추천할 것 같아. D3 RV 오디세이를 놓지 않을까? 왜냐하면 오디세이가 그런 거 아니고, 그냥 전륜구동 방식이지만 승차감이 해보다는 더 좋을 것 같아. 아무래도 통통 튀는 그런 느낌이 느껴지잖아. 사랑이 딱 끼어 있으면 더 알겠지만, 아무런 새거 피봇하고 비슷하기 때문에 고장 내도록 달리면 더 빠르게 느껴질 것 같아.

The body, well, how should I put it? Let's find it. Ramina, this is something that many Americans talk about for four weeks. It’s not really a type of vehicle that can appeal to the American market. It gives a good ride quality, but is it really suitable for the Korean market? The back seat, as I mentioned earlier, is only for the driver’s seat. How about the front passenger seat? It's not that bad personally. When I first came out, I drove the 2nd generation a year ago, and after test-driving this vehicle, I will compare it with the Odyssey again. However, compared to the Odyssey, I don’t think this one has a particularly good ride quality. It doesn’t feel like a new car; it seems to be inherently designed that way. Please pass it over. If you're driving alone, it doesn't matter, but if you have family members and are using it as a family car, multiple people will experience the ride in this car.

When I thought about it, I wondered if the ride comfort would be comparable to a family car. But now, I think it’s not too bad. Oh, it’s sporty, right? The weather is nice, and about this, it has a 7C engine. There is a certain flavor to it, but I feel like it lacks some power. I understand that the torque is lower compared to a diesel engine, and the punch feels a bit weak. Still, I know it has an output of almost 180 horsepower, which is a bit disappointing. The balance of the car’s body is also not great. Even if the viewers are not driving the car, they can still feel it because my video is filmed from a first-person perspective. It seems like it would be fine when driving on regular city roads.

SUV, as the name suggests, is a multi-purpose vehicle. However, this particular SUV seems to lean more towards being an on-road vehicle rather than fulfilling its intended purpose. It doesn't quite fit the off-road category like those designed for rugged terrains, such as Moab, but can be considered a city-type SUV. Still, it does have a slight off-road capability and a neutral tendency. I think this is partly due to it being all-wheel drive. 

From my perspective, if we were to compare it, it might be in the same category as some of the other vehicles out there. I drove an Odyssey about a year ago, and it felt almost like an RV; it's truly incomparable to the Carnival. Except for its concept, everything else about it is superior. However, this SUV does feel quite bouncy. It's as if it's designed for comfort, but it bounces more than the previous model. That's why I think it has become popular among Americans.

I feel that way. Yes, it's just average. As for the pilot, in such a large vehicle, how can we expect any comfort or body balance? However, Honda is known for its technology, and while it's not all about technology, it does have significant sales in the U.S. and is quite popular. There's a bit of disappointment, but it seems okay on city roads. I don't have much to say. Looking at the second-hand capabilities, the fuel efficiency is really terrible, and the reliability—well, I'm not someone who sells cars based on interior reliability, but as long as the car has good balance and basic qualities, that should be enough. However, when I look at the car's price, the interior configuration does not quite match expectations. What do you think about the dashboard shape or its simplicity?

When it comes to the second answer, would you say that this is comparable to a car worth about 50 million won? What do you think, sir? Please share your thoughts. There’s no doubt that Hyundai's Santa Fe and Sorento are much better, but I don’t think they will gain much popularity in the domestic market. Personally, I believe that they won’t sell well here. If it were me, I would prefer something that is higher than a sedan, and I think it’s just a matter of preference. If you can afford to buy a vehicle, I would suggest looking for something a bit better. They tend to overlook certain aspects, right? The models I mentioned earlier are a bit more expensive. The X3 and XD models have their advantages, like good visibility and being quiet since they are gasoline-powered. Additionally, the driver's seat is quite comfortable.

Well, it's okay, not bad. And Honda can love this handling and steering of the SUV, but since it's not a sports car, I can only praise it for that. The only downsides are two: first, the price is too high, really too expensive. No matter how much I like Honda, the price is just too steep. The second downside is that the reliability is not even as good as Hyundai's. Even I can see that it's quite cheap in terms of reliability. And one more thing, the fuel efficiency is completely disappointing. The fuel economy is not good at all, and considering that it's SOHC, that's a problem. I feel like the Odyssey would perform much better. I think the Odyssey is definitely the way to go. If I had to choose, I would prefer the Odyssey. Is the Pilot really that great? I don't think there's much difference between the two.

The limousine is very comfortable, and the driving experience is really nice. The dashboard in front feels clean and straightforward compared to the entertainment systems in other cars, with no unnecessary clutter. The buttons I need are easily accessible, and I noticed that some monitors in cars these days are slightly tilted, which I don't think is ideal. Additionally, I find myself looking at the screen more often. The touch response is quite good, but what I really like is the reverse feature of the engine.

It's okay. It's excellent. Since I test drove it a year ago, even after a year, nothing has changed. Yes, it truly is the prince of minivans. I want to give a shout-out. Yes, the Odyssey seems to be great in every aspect except for fuel efficiency. Yes, the suspension setup is quite firm, and I like it. Today, we have a comparison test for you. So, we have two vehicles from the same manufacturer: the Honda Pilot and the Honda Odyssey. As I mentioned earlier, these two vehicles share the same engine. They both use the 3.5 SOHC i-VTEC engine with a direct injection system. Let's go over the bumps. This is something I would want to participate in. Of course, since it has hill assist and is not a vehicle without those features, it handles quite well. However, when it comes to higher bumps, it feels very smooth. Is that the desired outcome?

Ah, it was fine, and I didn't mind the absence of anything. When I watched it a year ago, I was surprised that it was better than I expected. It definitely wasn't bad. Also, the steering wheel is surprisingly a bit large. Now, in sports mode, I will be driving to get a feel for the car. I hope you all understand that this significantly suppresses the noise. 

Now, the downside of this minivan is the pitch noise; it does reduce the noise quite well. So, I'm satisfied with that. And surprisingly, I don't feel a lack of power. I think it might be time to change the NG (next generation). Still, let's take a look at the technology from Honda.

It feels quite good, like driving a three-stage vehicle. It handles smoothly and comfortably even when going uphill; there is no lack of performance on the incline. It's not bad at all. The car runs safely at high speeds, which I appreciate. There's no need for many words. If an RV were to drive on this road, I think it would be excellent. The sixth gear is very gentle, and it handles corners well, almost like climbing a mountain. However, the Odyssey has just one drawback, in my opinion. As I spent three days with it, this is my subjective view. Viewers, aside from fuel efficiency, it has no significant downsides. The gasoline engine provides sufficient power and torque, and it features the world's first 10-speed automatic transmission.

Since I applied the mission, I don't feel overwhelmed or stressed, and it might be because I don't really want to. In that regard, I don't have much stress or discomfort. I want to emphasize that I have no time for stress. 

It's quite a remarkable corner, and I think I will go check it out. This corner is so thin that it makes me wonder if it really is. Truly, this deserves applause. This is indeed the technology of Honda. Honestly, at this level, I think it's quite impressive. 

In terms of fuel efficiency, in everyday urban driving, if it gets around 15 to 17 kilometers per liter, it feels like it's doing really well. Earlier, I got 4.4, which is meaningful, but if it gets around that range, I think I should be satisfied. However, I just test-drove the Odyssey in the Y section, and the car was surprisingly responsive. Honestly, it feels better than the Sonata, and the body is much more stable.

I think the balance is good, and the grip feels right. The traction is excellent when it comes to handling the road surface. I believe this aspect is significant. I don't know how to describe it, but the Odyssey feels different. Even if the car is being driven hard, I don't feel any motion sickness like I do in other cars. It gives a feeling of being in a spaceship. 

This model is not specifically aimed at the Korean market; in my opinion, it's completely American in style. The same goes for the other models; they are designed for the U.S. market. However, this one has a very hard lower body and doesn't seem to be designed to handle rough conditions at all. It doesn't feel like it's been modified in any way.

When I came, I felt like it was much better than what I had. The way it is marketed is quite impressive. But now, the four-wheel drive feature is really noticeable, even though the front-wheel drive feels like it's not as powerful. The weather reporter is saying that I should drive this car. Earlier, I was thinking about how I had been using it for a long time. I noticed some issues, though. I mentioned before that the quality is a bit lacking. Although both this one and the other are produced in the U.S., the agricultural aspect seems to be lacking. The flavor is not right; they are not managing the finish properly. I was really surprised by how off it was. The dealer seemed to struggle with it. Ladies and gentlemen, we are now looking at the Honda Odyssey and the same manufacturer's Pilot from Honda.

The pilot is currently comparing test drives. First, I would like to briefly share my impressions of the Honda Odyssey. Overall, it's quite good, except for the lack of acceleration. Even at high speeds, it holds up well. When you push it, the car gives you signals. It sends signals to the driver, indicating to stop or to slow down. The car communicates with you, saying, Here, stop here, slow down here. It provides feedback. However, the Honda Odyssey is different from other minivans; it has a higher limit compared to other recreational vehicles. This means that the car is safer. During high-speed driving, the vehicle feels quite solid and seems to consistently search for the road surface, giving you the impression that it is determined to maintain contact with the ground.

The design of the cabin gives drivers and passengers a sense of trust and stability, especially for families inside the vehicle. I believe the Odyssey has an excellent level of completion as an RV. I wanted to mention that. The price of the vehicle is a bit high, but considering that we live in a country where we don’t produce any oil, I wonder if people might feel a bit disappointed with the fuel efficiency. This is because the 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine may not be as fuel-efficient as a diesel engine. Aside from that, I don't think the Odyssey falls behind in any other aspects. This might be one of the reasons why it has high sales and popularity in the North American market.
