This street is being redeveloped and going to be turned into a more pedestrian-friendly zone, along with some structural improvements to the street. When I first came down here, this was nothing more than a mound of dirt, but it looks like they're making good progress. But I've got my scooter today, and in this live stream, I want to focus on the Miami River and follow the path of the Miami River. So let's get started. Let's do safety first. I need to turn the headlight on and the rear light. Now, I could go down Flagler Street, but I need to take the sidewalk. Let me just make sure the camera angle

is okay first all right. Looks like it's okay. Maybe it could be a little bit higher. Actually looks fine right now. Yeah, it could be a little bit higher. I think it's showing too much of the phone right now. So let me uh just tighten this a little bit. Now uh now I think it should be a little bit better. Let's see how is it now. I think it's better now. Okay all right. Let's uh put the speed up a little bit. Beautiful views of downtown Miami at night. By the way, did you know that downtown Miami used to be the site of a military installation called Fort Dallas? And Fort Dallas used to be right over here where the Whole Foods is. Uh David asking if this is a Segway scooter. Yes, it is. It is absolutely a Segway scooter. I'm going to take the lane here to prevent aggressive drivers from uh passing me too close. Maybe I'll let this driver pass now. Okay when I ride I try to blend a little bit of defensive scootering.

and also try to minimize driver aggression too. That way, they don't like run you off the road or get mad at you for taking up their lane. Let's go around this dog walker. It's nice and breezy today here in Miami tonight. Oh, we don't want to go on Interstate 95. We'll be in this lane. Uh, D, I can see who's behind me. I have a mirror. [Music] I've been up this ramp many times driving my car. Over here, we have the metro mover tracks as well as the metro rail on the top. Now over here, you see the uh, the not-so-nice area of downtown Miami. We have some homeless encampments here, people camped out. Not the side I like to see, but it's here. Bella's saying it's a nice. Oh wait, no, that's a tiny little mouse. I rarely see rats here in Miami. You see over here more homeless encampments. I'd get a little bit uncomfortable if I had to walk past them.

Eddie's saying it's not as bad as California. Yes, it's not as bad as California. So, we've made it to the Miami River. This is a popular nightlife destination called the Wharf, and I've been here before. Right now, it doesn't seem to be busy. I don't even think there's anybody in there, but I like to follow my gut. I found it quite peaceful last time, and I didn't really get to explore a lot of it. [Music] Chad Taylor, this scooter goes up to 18.6 miles per hour on the sport mode setting. Damara's saying the lights are vibrant. It's beautiful at this time of night. Sunset is just going to be over soon. [Music] Let's go to the side as I see a waterfront path here. I wanted thus far the last time I was here. This is a really nice area. I think I could turn my light off. I don't really need it here because I could see everything. Beautiful boats. Mary's saying this is nothing like me.

riding over the Brooklyn Bridge with my scooter. Yeah, it's nothing like it, but this is still very, very pretty. This is a public park. I didn't even know it was here. Gregory's saying beautiful sunset. Yeah, look at the colors. Oh, Mary says you can, you mean I can handle it. Oh, this is easy. Now look, there's even bicycle racks. You could bring your bike here. You know, it's so nice here. Let me stop and I'll take the camera off my chest mount just so I could pan around and show you in more detail. And here we are, the Miami River. I am definitely snapping a few pictures here while I have the opportunity. This boat's name is the Sea Spice, and there's a lot of really nice boats across the river. Love Melody Jane asking how do you like your new location. It's not New York, but it's beautiful. Yes, nothing can compare to New York. It's its own city, but my new place in downtown Miami is very nice. You got the skyline there.

If you love the water, then Miami is a good place to visit. Up there's an airplane, all right. Let's continue. Let's see how far this waterfront path goes. [Music] Oops. You know what? I think I'm gonna have to take this phone off of the case. It'll be a lot easier, so just give me a second while I do that. This case makes it a lot harder for me to put it on and off the mount. There we go. I hope the mount that I needed to. All right, so wait a second. Can we continue anymore? Is this the end? Ah, that's too bad. Mets fan asking what happened to cooking with Action Kid. Well, that was an April Fool's joke. At least the first episode of it was. I do know how to cook, so maybe I can feature some real cooking with Action Kid videos, but I'll probably do it on the extra channel, not the main channel. Let's let this driver go first. I see there's a lot of condo buildings and units for lease here.

On the waterfront, it's a seafood market. Casablanca, that's convenient to have. And I think over here is a very popular restaurant. Zozo is saying this neighborhood's called Spring Garden. I didn't, I wasn't even aware it had a name. Thank you for that. All right, there's a driver behind me. Unfortunately, the bridge is up right now, and I will need to wait for it to. That's too bad. Or they're, I think they're planning to raise it. I think we're gonna have to wait. Yup, just one of many of Florida's bridges going up right when we need to cross, right? Unless I decide not to go to this route and maybe I'll continue along the river on this side. If I go over this bridge, I'll head over into Little Havana. But this is a two-way street, I believe. Gets kind of confusing with the traffic patterns. Getting a little bit windy tonight. [Music] Also, if I go over that way across the bridge, I'll be near the baseball stadium where the uh

the Marlins play. Oh, that looks neat over there. Just me to make sure that I can cross over before going that way, and I will also [Music]. These lights are be safe. Yes, I always try to do in all my live streams. Safety comes first, but I'm lit up very well. I have the front light, the back light. I have my helmets. I try to ride defensively and also have a reflective vest. You need it here, and when it gets dark, stray cat crossing the road, or maybe not cat. What are you doing? I thought you were crossing. You know you're turning back. Metro rail train comes over this way. I'm going to wait for the light. This kind of a street, especially at nighttime, it's hard to see because of the blind turn. Watch out for these people crossing across the street. What is this, a cop car? Looks like it. Yeah, it is Miami Police Department. This is a really chill area to come by and relax. I wouldn't recommend walking this way, but he is easily doable.

Atlantis University. Am I still following the route of the Miami River? I'm not too sure now, probably not. I think the river is down to my left, but I'll make a left on this street. There is a bike lane here, though. There's another bike lane here. The Ronald McDonald House is here. I think there's a hospital. Let me just check my instructions to make sure I'm still following the Miami River. All right, so I'm actually am following it. I need to, uh, okay, I just need to go straight until I catch it again, pretty much. It gets kind of weird because, uh, there's no like one path that goes right next to the river. You do have breaks in the roadway. Lots of hospitals in this area. I had no idea it was like this here, but it looks very nice. [Music] I think this might be the Civic Center area, maybe. I will go over the river here towards the head into Little Havana. The, uh, Metro Rail is right above me. Wow, that's a nice view of the train too.

bad. I can't show you guys behind me. Um, okay, let's hope that I, uh, don't go into the highway. That's not where I want to be. Look at that ship. Maybe to be a little bit safe, I'll uh, get onto the sidewalk here. I don't like going across the bridge like this. There's so much traffic. But unfortunately, in Florida, sometimes it's the only way to get across. There we go. Directioner says it looks like you're already on the highway. Unfortunately, that's what happens sometimes, right? I think I'm gonna need to put it on sport mode to get it up this hill. But once you get over this bridge, it stops being a highway. Like, all right, I think I'm going to turn my headlight on. [Music] Yeah, Hong Mao, it's very dark here. The lights aren't even working at all. The only light is my scooter headlight and the helm, the ones on my helmet. So I'm not speeding, not going fast because I want to make sure I avoid dangers like broken glass.

discarded cups, things like that, gas station. How much is gas now? The last I saw on the news that the national average was like $3.40 a gallon or something. Oh my gosh, no. Air is off $4.30 a gallon. My bad. Over here is $4.49. So gas prices are creeping up, and we have the, I'm not going to cross now, there's cars making right turns. You got to be aware of that too. [Music] Okay, now I'll go. I want to go near this baseball stadium. I've never checked it out really close up. [Music] Dutch man saying it's $4.69 in Phoenix, Arizona. That's expensive. All right, I'm just moving my scooter to the side so these drivers, if they want to pass me, they can. A lot, Larry sang in Seattle, reached dollars and one penny a gallon. That's a lot of money. So I'm gonna wait for all this fast-moving traffic to go before I start scooting away. All right, this drive is giving me space.

changing lanes, that's good. Uh, let's see if I can get to the baseball stadium from this side. Yeah, it's a two-way street, so I'll wait here until it's clear and then go across the crosswalk. Jeff asking how fast am I going. Uh, most of the time, 15 miles an hour on this scooter. I can't put it up to sport mode, which brings the max speed up to 18 miles an hour, but I have to drive very defensively on this scooter. Look at this. This is pretty cool, actually. Let's turn around. There's like a pathway you can go into, into the park. Well, no games are being played right now. Uh, Sakia asking if this is FTX. No, this is Lone Depot Park. It's home of the Miami Marlins. Or is it Florida Marlins? Miami Marlins. That's what it's what it is. I guess Florida has more than one baseball team. Oh, we have the schedule of the uh, baseball games. So, uh, we're in May now.

so uh may 11th, they played a r i, I guess that's Arizona, at 3:40 p.m. The next baseball game is uh on Friday at 6:40 p.m. and they have a schedule pretty much for the entire year up until September, October. So if you want to see baseball, they have a lot of games available. Wants me to do a tour of FIU and um campuses. Yeah, it's possible that might be fun to do. Oh, I guess this is where you buy the tickets if you didn't have one. Oh, we got a deal with a ticket uh ticket line here. Let's see how good my scooter navigation skills are up. Not that good because I had to put my foot down, but these lockers, I guess if people don't want to bring something into the park or they have something they want to bring in but it's restricted, they can use those bins. I'm not going that way. Wow, there's some kind of special event going on there. Sounds like, uh-oh, they're doing some dance practice or something. Unfortunately, I have to keep talking over this music since I don't want YouTube to give me a copyright claim, so I don't think I'll be going to hear that music. But this is nice to see. We're on, uh, Northwest 16th Avenue now. There's a Walgreens over there. Parking available. This entire area seems like a quiet zone. Say here, says it doesn't look very well-lit. It's, uh, sparsely lit. It's not the greatest. They could do better. A very busy street here, Northwest 17th Avenue. I don't think I want to go here. Maybe I'll stay on Northwest 16th. That seems very quiet. Directioners saying it looks like Pasadena, California. It does a little bit. All right, I'm gonna speed this scooter up just so I can get past this music faster because it's going to get me in trouble.

[Music] Maybe I'll show you the baseball stadium from the distance once I get to this corner. I think we're far enough from the stadium that YouTube won't give me a copyright or have to go to this corner. You can't really see the ballpark that well, but over here you can. Here we go, Lone Depot Park, home of the Miami Marlins, and they have palm trees all around the baseball stadium. Yeah, Zozo, this is Little Havana. [Music] And Shelley's saying they're working on fixing the purple street lights. Yeah, I saw someone right in the chat, I forget who, I glanced at it very quickly when I was looking down from my scooter, that the purple street lights means that the street light is defective and needs to be replaced soon. That's actually a pretty good system if you think about it. People speak English there. Yes, they do, but where people will only speak Spanish as their primary language, so it does help to know a little bit of Spanish here. [Music]

So, I hope you're enjoying the night tour of Miami, especially because I'm going in some of these residential areas. Maybe we'll go down to there at nighttime. We're about nine blocks away. Kae Ocho is the main street of Little Havana, also a tourist destination. There's gasoline here at Sun Flex. It's actually pretty reasonable. This gas station is a little bit cheaper than others. We have taxi drivers backing up. I want to give this driver enough space because I don't know what they're going to do. Jeff asking what range do I get on my scooter. When it was new, I got around 25 miles on the way. I use it with like sport mode and starts and stops and city traffic. But now that it's been like a year now, I don't really know how long the range is miles under ideal conditions, which I've actually like almost gotten because I went to Coney Island from Astoria, Queens on economy mode, and I got to around like 30 something-ish.

miles. I wouldn't recommend it, though. It takes a long time. This driver makes a lot of noise. I don't really think it's necessary to have a car that loud in this quiet neighborhood, waking everybody up. I'm sure we're going to hear that car for probably another 10 blocks with that kind of noise. Up, I see Kaye Ocho ahead of me, a street. Steve and I did go to Kaye Osha before multiple times. I went there with James and Carla when they were here. I went there during the Kyoto Show Music Festival. That's the longest street festival in the world, I think. And I've been here multiple times too on my own. I even been here last year. But we're at the world-famous Kaye Ocho in Little Havana. I think this is the first time I've ever been here at nighttime. It is, you know what, it's really lively at nighttime. I should come here more. It's gorgeous. It kind of reminds me of Times Square, Las Vegas type vibes.

look at ball and Shane. I'm gonna get off for a second just so I can show you what's going on across the street. It's a party over there. I ate here before the as a car ice cream company. Joey's saying little Havana's lit at night. It is. Domino Park is closed. Let's give this driver a wide turn so they can get out of here. I don't know little Havana could be this alive at night time. Kaye Ocho Coin Laundry's in my right. I wonder if the barber shop's open. Got a big truck right behind me but they have to wait for the red light and uh I'm gonna wait for all the fast drivers to pass anyway. 429 for gasoline at Marathon Gas. Actually, the safer thing to do is to cross the street, and then you wait for a red light. That's if you really want all those cars to be waiting behind and not, uh, at your like. It's a cool little restaurant at the corner there that was pretty busy, and now we're starting to see some businesses advertising themselves as Brickell, even though we're in Little Havana. Like, uh, I know there's a few, uh, car dealerships up there. They call themselves like Brickell Motor or Brickell Honda, stuff like that. But we are very close to Brickell. It's the next neighborhood over to the east. [Music] So you see the skyline of Brickell really coming up now. I'm really feeling these bumps in the road. My scooter has got no suspension. At least the large wheels, they help a lot. All right, here's the, uh, car dealerships I was telling you about.

brickell, buick, gmc, honda's over here. It says brickell. All right, what I'm gonna do is let these cars pass now. I'll go on this parking lane driveway, so I'm going to be a little bit careful. What's going on here? So I'm gonna wait behind this car. We got traffic. I think all this traffic is for the interstate, Interstate 95. Laurie says, I hope I was able to get a good deal on my car with the prices being so crazy. I, uh, did not get a good deal on my car. I'll tell you that much. I had to pay a lot for my car. I think I'll lane split over here. Actually, let me go now so I can beat all this traffic going to the on-ramp of the highway. It's safer to jump the light there. Let's get past all this. Right, so now we're in Brickell 479 for gasoline here at Mobile. I guess I could dial the speed down a little bit. Let's let this car pass. Actually, let's let a bunch of cars pass. Sounds like there's an ambulance, so I have to yield anyway. Then, whoa, three cop cars. You do not want to be messing with them. Two more cops coming. This must be a major response. Someone must have gotten attacked, stabbed, or whatever. I hope, I hope, also hope no one's seriously hurt. My heart goes out to whoever's involved. Joel says they have rumble sirens there too. I see that. You can hear them. What was it like, five or six police cars responding to that one incident? That's incredible. You know what? I got an idea. Seems like the cops are going this way. I'm not going to follow them to the scene of the crime, but you know what? I think they're going here, so we are aware the cops are. What's going on? What's going on? Oh my gosh.

this is where it is right around the corner here. Looks like it's in the Mary Brickell Village area. Fire engines coming too. Look at this. I'm going to turn this light off. This is incredible, folks. The amount of emergency response here. They have every single type: police, fire, and medical. [Music] Look at this fire rescue, fire engine, cops. I think that's the ambulance coming now. It's like they have the whole city here. [Music] It's like probably the highest emergency level they could have, like all hands on deck or something. City of Miami Fire Rescue. Hope it's not shooting. Look at this. This is a serious fire engine. Wow, what happened? Yeah, there's like five police cars, fire engine. Yeah, well, good luck. Thanks, man. Pretty bad. Look at this ambulance is coming. Wow, right. Well, uh, let's let them do their jobs. I hope. Wait a second. These people are, uh, putting their phones up over here. What's going on here now? What happened? The fire? I don't see a fire. I have no idea.

the dudes in the fire truck were looking up to you know what I'm gonna do. I have the citizen app. I can open it up. Maybe it's here. Does the citizen app have a response or a notice here? Wherever I am, there's smoke in the air. I don't think that's smoke. I think those are clouds. I have to download the police scanner. Well, I have it north and east. Hammocks dispatch municipal police departments. Let's see if this has anything. Maybe I have to go to fire or maybe this is the wrong one. Maybe my Miami fire rescue might have it. I hear something. They're talking on this radio, the scanner, but I don't think this is the right station because it seems it'll probably have a lot more activity on the radio than this because it was just. Let's see. Maybe Miami Dade County fire rescue dispatch north and east. I think that's the wrong one. I think I should listen to the police one. It's hard to know which one exactly to

uh everyone 150 Miami Miami rescue 30. This isn't it. This is 2000 Northwest 34th Street. They're talking about a woman. We found out what it is. Citizen app. Smoke emanating from building 75. Uh Southwest 11th Street. This is Southwest 10th. So there's smoke. Where's the smoke coming from? So man, they had to uh oh. They're all leaving now. Okay, that's a good sign. Okay, they're all leaving. Well, I'm glad that uh they were able to resolve it very quickly. Namaste says maybe some kid pulled the alarm. Well, I think it'll be hard to fake smoke. Pulling a fire alarm is one thing, but having smoke up in the air is another. Something different. Well, that's good. Yeah, there was smoke coming from the building. That's what I saw. Yeah, this one where Publix is. I don't know what where in the building it was, but there were like so many cops and fire people here. Well, it looks like most of them are leaving now, so yeah.

All right, that's good. Wow, this is the largest emergency response I've ever captured here in Miami. It's not the first one too. In Miami Beach, there was like some kind of fire alarm going off. We saw a fire engine respond to that. All right, well, I hope everyone is safe, that they were able to get everyone evacuated if they needed to, and hopefully that smoke was nothing major. So, yeah, let's just continue on our way, but amazing response from the Miami police, the fire, and the medical team. I don't think you could have gotten a faster response than that. They were right on it, you saw them. But let's continue. Absolutely amazing response. They were there within like seconds. All right, we're going down this block now where all the fire engines were. Even this one's leaving now, the main one right in front. Maybe it's not. Is it backing up here into the parking garage? Oh, wait, it's making a right turn. All right, we gotta move out of the way. Good thing I don't have a car. I could just put my scooter on the sidewalk and get out of the way completely. Thank you. So, wow, seeing that emergency response, it really, uh, it really tells me how much people care for others, you know? Could you imagine if we didn't have police or fire people to respond to emergencies like that? What if there was a fire and no one cared? They let your home burn down. But instead, we have people that are willing to risk their lives with somebody else. That's... Let's get in the bike lane. Wow, Mary Brickell Village, even on a Wednesday evening, very busy. Okay, I might have to clip that entire emergency response video and put it on Action Kid Extra. It might get a lot of attention, like, uh, Lars, five police cars and three fire engines and whatever. I have to count them, but that'll be something that the internet would like, you know? Because some of these videos of, like, emergency response, they get a lot of views, and, uh, it'll just, like, maybe it'll help city.

to see how other people and other cities respond to emergencies like that. I still have to clip the one where I met the chicken in downtown Miami. I think that's where I'll go now. I'm gonna head to downtown Miami and then go back home. What happened? No more bike lane up yo bridge. Why'd you have to go up for us? We're going to creep up on this arm and make it go up. Watch this. Open sesame. Boom. Oh, I oh my gosh. I didn't mean it that way. I was gonna do open sesame for the arm to go up, but the bridge is going up. Whoa, look at that timing. Well, we gotta wait now. So, uh, how is everybody else's night going? I'm having a lot of fun tonight. It's action-packed. We got to see a drawbridge go up in my command. We got to see the emerging emergency response of Miami, like the entire city respond to a smoke and a high rise. And, uh, yeah, Brickell City Center behind me. Gorgeous views.

now we got to see how long this bridge takes. Mary says, Cool pic, yeah love this picture. We got a drawbridge selfie I could add to my collection. Now this is actually a good picture. I'm gonna take a picture of this. This is a unique picture that you can't get unless you're like cycling like right here. Oh, bridge is going back down. I better get ready, get ready to cross when the bridge opens up again. I mean, uh, when the gate opens up again. Don't want to go when the bridge is open or you'll fall down. I might as well do it for this final stretch of the live stream so I could finally uh, get off the scooter for once and do some walking around. Yes, after all that action, we have to chill a little bit between the uh, the emergency response, the uh, fast-moving traffic, and the bridge going up. Alan Taylor stayed at the Hyatt Regency in 1986. I stayed there last year, and I still remember my stay there. That was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, that Hyatt Regency in downtown Miami, and uh, it was also a minor influence into

me wanting to move down here because that hotel really gave me a good impression. So, there was a main stage here where bands would perform, and now it's completely empty, and two people on the stage right now sitting down, kind of funny. Hey, the stage is open, I guess you can just walk on the steps and go up if you wanted to. Mike Jones asking if there's a weight limit on the scooter. How do you ride it? Ramsay says graduation season just around the corner. Yeah, it is. We're ready in May. Graduation season's like end of this month and all throughout June, right? So, it is true.
