I can't finish all this and sleep at the same time. You have to sleep. It's what keeps you pretty. Who cares if I'm pretty if I fail my finals? Okay, you've got this so completely backwards, but I will definitely get rid of all my math. I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The time is now 3:07. It's 10:22 right now. I have my very last machine learning final tomorrow. I've got seven chapters to cover tonight, so it looks like I'm probably going to be pulling an all-nighter. I cannot believe this is going to be my very last final ever. I really have to pass this final or else I won't be graduating. Here's the problem: I procrastinated until the very last second for this final, and I also didn't go to a single lecture after my midterm, so I have a lot to catch up on, and I mean a lot. I probably have 13 chapters that I know nothing about, and then another 10 chapters from the midterm.

need to review tonight. I'm really going to find out how well I can do with minimal studying. I want to exert the least amount of effort and get the best results. I have a lot of chapters to look over and review because this final is going to be open book. I just want to know the concepts well enough to know where to look for them in the lecture notes. I think this final is going to be very similar to the midterm, which I ended up actually getting 84% on after the scaling, so as long as I do a similar study method, I'm going to be good. You should keep watching though if you want to see me suffer and study 13 chapters of machine learning the night before my last vyl. There's actually no running water in my apartment right now, so I'm going to run to the grocery store and pick up some water bottles so I don't get very dehydrated. And like, I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to wash my hands or wash my face. I think

I'll just figure that out as I go. This is the distilled water, and it actually tastes a lot better than tap water to me. It just tastes cleaner for some reason. Since this is my last final, I am so, so looking forward to burning all my notes. I'm going to take them with me camping this summer and just use it as fuel for the flames. I'm so excited to delete every single thing off my computer. I'm not going to keep anything. Actually, I might keep some things. I might keep this course because it's low-key kind of useful, but I will definitely get rid of all my math. I'm so excited to take that paper, rip it up, burn it, and just be done with it. So, what are you doing tonight? Well, homework and then homework, and if I get all that done in time, some more homework. Right now, I am on chapter 17, natural language processing. I have to go to chapter 23, so that's like seven more chapters. Right now, feeling very unmotivated and discouraged because it's

so late, and my brain is just not working very well. I kind of just write down what's important, try to rephrase it in my own language, and then also I like to use like headings, subheadings just to make it a little more organized. Probably just going to keep doing this until my brain feels like mush. I'm a failure, what am I stupid. Oh, stop. For this final, I struggled a lot to find the motivation to start studying, but also stay motivated to keep studying. My addiction to my phone made my attention span so short. I don't think I can actually focus for 30 minutes without checking my phone. So tonight, I actually had to delete my social media apps off my phone. I find that when I have important events like exams, interviews, or projects that I really need to focus on, deleting social media really helps. One of my favorite study techniques I've always done since I was a little kid is give myself little treats for accomplishing tasks, basically just classically conditioning myself. I was so hungry this entire night, but I

told myself I need to complete enough chapters before I can eat. I was so hungry today that I got through the last few chapters probably as fast as humanly possible. Make sure to stick around and see if this study technique actually helps me survive my exam tomorrow. So I'm on chapter 18, which is computer vision, and that is understanding images and videos. Basically, it's like taking an image or video and then turning that image into a bunch of numbers, and then applying machine learning models on the numbers so that you can make predictions about what's going on in the pictures. My brain hurts and my eyes hurt. I don't think I'm actually processing this information. Like I've written it down, but I don't think I really know what I'm writing down. So I'm going to have to review this again. The second time you read through something, it kind of clicks better. Wow, you beat me home by 2 minutes and your nose is already in the books. I can go from zero to studying in less.

than 60 seconds. Very impressive. It is 1:34 a.m. I have a cactus burger that I ordered earlier. By the way, it's not a burger made out of a cactus. It's from Cactus Club. So I'm going to just sit here, eat my burger. My mouth is watering 'cause I'm so hungry. [Music] I'm sick of waiting for the right word to come to me. Feels like I'm wasting time. [Music] Away, the time is now 2:25. When there's open book exams, I find the questions to be really challenging and require a deeper understanding or like a very specific understanding of the knowledge 'cause I noticed on the midterm that they would ask like kind of tricky questions. But I'm on chapter 21. I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I've done survival analysis and time series, okay, but now I'm finally on to ethics. You know what's nice? Like I made it to the end of all the chapters and I feel like

the later ones are the shorter ones. If I fail this class, then I can't graduate, which would be absolutely atrocious. Let me just check if I'm going to graduate. To pass this course, I need a score of at least 12% on the final exam. That's pretty good, that's nice to hear. I think like if you write your name, you get 12%. Maybe I'll stop by Brea soon and get like a little drink or a snack. They're open 24 hours, which is so fun. [Applause] [Music] The time is now 3:07, which is a lot earlier than I thought. I'm actually done, which is really nice. I finished all the notes. I think I'm going to start getting ready for bed soon. While I'm in bed, I'm going to read over all the notes that I took today just because I want to make sure that it's really ingrained in my brain. Hopefully the exam goes well. I'm at my very last final of my entire life, and my exam is in 30 minutes. Just hoping for 50%. My brain feels a little bit fogged up. My eyelids are very heavy. Yeah, this 2 and 1/2 hours could not go by any faster. Anyways, I'm going to start heading to my final now. Wish me luck. Hopefully, it goes well. Hopefully, I get 50%. [Music] Yo, I am done. like going crazy. I was like one of the first people to finish, which kind of made me worried because I'm like, oh my god, did I miss like 20 questions that other people are seeing that I'm not? Is anyone else graduating and feeling a little bit like, what do I do now? As much as I hate school, and I say I hate school, I actually kind of enjoy it. Some parts of it have been nice, especially the last two semesters have been really chill, which I keep reiterating. Like, it's been really easy. When I write exams, for some reason this last year, I've been just like trying to scramble and get out of there as fast as I can. It's almost like a race against no one, just myself. Like, I'm just like trying to race and get it done. What do I do now? Like, what do I do? What if what is my purpose in life without school? Like, I don't think I have one.
