For cooling, the Pi is equipped with an aluminum heat sink and a 30 mm fan.

The quadcopter is equipped with four brushless motors, each fitted with a propeller at the edges, controlled by an electronic speed controller.

These motors provide the lift and maneuverability needed for flight. Additionally, four geared DC motors are mounted at the corners, controlled by an L298N motor driver.

These motors, combined with a pulley system, drive the track belts that enable the bot to move on the ground like a tank.

Interesting, right? It's a wrist wearable dual mode cyber deck. It switches between just the display mode and the full terminal mode with a tap on the screen.

It is built on the Raspberry Pi 0w. It contains one main 3.5 in SPI TFT screen and an additional 1-in OLED screen, a Bluetooth keyboard, a Pi camera, and a thermal camera are a couple of add-ons that make this cyber deck useful.

On tapping the screen again, it opens up the camera to capture the live feed overall.

This one is less of a practical field use and more of a fun cyberpunkish prop. Number 13, Ellect transformed an old 80s typewriter into a retro style computer terminal that prints everything as ASCII art.

The typewriter keyboard works by using a matrix of rows and columns to detect key presses, and Ellect cleverly used an Arduino to simulate those presses by controlling the matrix.

The Arduino tricks the typewriter into typing specific characters.

The Arduino is connected to a Raspberry Pi running in headless mode. When the Raspberry Pi sends text or commands via a serial connection, the Arduino converts them into key presses, allowing the typewriter to print them out like a terminal screen, only instead of pixels, the output appears on paper as ASCII art.

Number 12, next we have a remote controlled turntable designed for precise object rotation, made using Pico W.

It operates using a stepper motor and a gear system. The larger gear is fixed to the center of a bearing, while the smaller gear is connected to the motor shaft.

This entire mechanism is housed in a 3D printed base. Through a web server, the turntable can be controlled either fully or in small increments for precise movements.

This ensures you have accuracy and control while recording stop motion videos, making it an essential tool for your workbench. Number 11, next we have a doomsday portable computer built by Kenneth.

The entire setup is housed in a rugged waterproof case that gives it a tough durable appearance.

Inside, you'll find a backlit keyboard, connecting ports, a headphone jack, and two displays. A small OLED display in the bottom right corner shows the Pi's stats.

while a 7-in LCD screen serves as the primary monitor, the Pi 5 handles all the computational tasks, ensuring smooth performance without any glitches.

The system is powered by a power bank placed beneath the keyboard, with all the wiring neatly concealed using foam and plastic sheets. Additionally, portable solar panels allow you to charge the computer on the go.

Number 10, at first glance, this might look like a regular portrait, but just wait until it reveals its true colors.

Surprised? In this project, Dominic crafted a wooden frame for an LCD screen that initially displays a still image, making it appear like an ordinary portrait.

However, hidden at the bottom is a PIR motion sensor that detects movement. When someone approaches, a spooky video starts playing on the screen. The LCD shows the first frame of the video until motion is detected, at which point the video begins to play.

Once the video ends, the display returns to the first frame, all without needing to reset or adjust any controls.

Dominic created three characters, so which one gave you the biggest fright? Number nine, if you love compact gadgets, you'll adore this mini desktop computer.

It's small enough to hold in your hand, but packs enough punch to handle all your computing needs.

Featuring a 3-in LCD screen and an 8,000 milliamp hour battery, this little powerhouse also includes a Bluetooth keyboard that can be folded.

Everything stays neatly organized with mounting brackets. Inside, the Raspberry Pi sits snugly within an aluminum frame, topped with clear acrylic to protect the LCD screen.

With all the necessary parts in hand, you can assemble this project in a breeze. Number eight, Actar faced issues with his 3D printer's movements multiple times when he wasn't around or wasn't watching it, as his printer didn't have Wi-Fi, he got no warning message when the printer's axis got shifted or jammed.

This resulted in failed multi-printed parts.

To solve this, he created a budget-friendly IoT device using a Raspberry Pi Pico and a HuskyLens AI camera, recognizing axis movements.

The device tracks the X, Y, and Z axes. The Pico communicates the detected movements to a Telegram bot, providing him with real-time updates and notifications of potential malfunctions related to the printer's movements.

Number seven, Mai has created this compact network-attached storage. He used a SATA hat to connect external drives, utilizing four of the five available slots.

Before mounting the SATA hat, he added a cooling fan on top of the Raspberry Pi to enhance the overall look.

He designed an enclosure using Fusion 360 and printed the parts in aluminum-colored PLA. To ensure optimal airflow and keep the drives cool, he incorporated a 40mm 5-volt fan on the side.

He also included a window in the design, which adds a stylish touch to the enclosure.

Number six, next we have a DIY arcade controller. While it might be challenging for beginners due to its complexity, James's detailed tutorial makes it easier to follow.

He first designed a custom PCB for the project and then created a custom case to house it. The board includes six arcade buttons and a joystick with a tiny OLED screen at the top.

In addition to playing games, the controller can also function as a keyboard and a mouse. This versatile project will not only enhance your gaming experience, but also add a cool look to your workbench.

Number five, Carter got a product to review, but he decided to make something cool out of it instead.

He used his skills to turn it into a tiny cyber deck. It was tough to fit everything inside the small case, but he managed to make a fully working portable deck.

He took apart the product and added a keyboard, a display, and a Raspberry Pi. He even made a curved cover using thermoformed plastic.

Although there were some problems like cracking the display and damaging the Pi, he ended up with a unique and good-looking Mini PC number four.

If you regularly work on your computer, you might know how some shortcuts can save you time. Various shortcut keypads are available online but this one is simple to build and follow.

This multifunction functional control knob uses a rotary encoder that will help you to scroll horizontally while editing a video, but that doesn't mean you can't use it to control other features like brightness and volume.

By pressing the encoder, you can switch between the modes, and by modifying the code, you can simulate the button in the way you like.

The electronics is enclosed inside a square 3D printed case while a knob is placed at the top.

Number three, if you loved watching Loki and Marvel's Universe, you'll adore this cute computer. The idea to make this started with an old slide viewer, but now it's a charming tech piece thanks to some creative work encased in a sturdy shell.

The P deck features dual LCD touch screens, including a 5-in touch display and a 7-in standard display for seamless multitasking. It's equipped with Wi-Fi and ethernet capabilities allowing access to the internet from any location, while SD card readers and USB ports provide easy data transfer, plus the foldable keyboard adds a touch of elegance to the deck.
