Some citizens even wrote that they were scared of being prosecuted and asked for someone to come and remove the flyers for them. In response, the police chief of the Dongbu Police Station left a reply. He stated that as the police chief of Yongin Dongbu, he wanted to apologize for causing concern to many people. He also mentioned that regardless of the controversy surrounding the legality of the incident, the police administration was careful and attentive.

He expressed regret about the things that could not be realized. In May, a middle school student, Yang, removed a notice that was stuck to the elevator mirror while heading home. The notice had been posted by a residents' self-governing organization in the apartment complex to gather opinions on repair issues, but it had not received permission from the management office. The police viewed the removal of the notice as destruction of property and referred Yang to the prosecution. Along with Yang, a resident in their sixties, identified as B, who also removed the notice and covered it with another notice, was sent to the prosecution along with the head of the management office, C.
