Honestly, if someone tells you to take this, I think they really just don't like you. This natural supplement has an interaction with pretty much everything, and in case you think I'm just being a hater of St. John's Wort, it's even banned in France. So, what is it commonly used for? So, it is a natural supplement that's commonly used to help with depression. You want to preface if you're taking this right now for depression, do not stop this, but I do want you to talk to a doctor if you should really be taking this because look at all these lovely drug interactions that interact with St. John's Wort. It's a lot. The list keeps going on and on and on. While there are several major drug interactions, this is the most important.

one that I think should really be highlighted. It will decrease the effectiveness of birth control. This is why it's so important whenever you're starting a natural supplement to talk to your provider or pharmacist because with all natural supplements there do come drug interactions. And I'm not saying that natural supplements are bad because most of them can really help people, but before taking them, you got to know all the safety precautions with it.
