hello everybody. Earth shatter has the highest damage potential out of every single Slam in Path of Exile. Here's how it works: when you attack, your character will slam the ground. This is called the impact, and a number of fissures will then travel outwards in a roughly circular fashion until reaching a maximum travel distance, whereby spikes will erupt from the ground. Now, both Earth shatter's impact and its spikes deal damage in an area. However, these spikes do nothing initially and require one of two methods to actually detonate. First, you can either attack with any different slam skill, anything other than Earth shatter. Or second, and far more reasonably, you can simply perform a war cry. Slams and war cries already go hand in hand with one another due to a mechanic called exertion. The majority of war cries state that they exert a number of attacks, giving them some sort of extra bonus, such as more area with seismic cry or more damage with intimidating cry. Therefore, since war cries already provide potent benefits to Earth shatter via their exertions, it's a no-brainer to

also use them as its Spike detonation method. So now the name of the game is to get our war cries to the point where they buff Earth shatter as much as possible and also are off of cool down fast enough to then detonate the spikes. Thankfully in patch 3.25 the Settlers League we received a few changes to do exactly that. First Auto exertion, this skill gy changes any linked war cries from manual to automatic activation at the cost of reserving 15% of your Mana pool per war cry and removing every benefit that they provide aside from their exertions hence the name. The second change were the war cries themselves. Now as you may have already picked up on when I described Auto exertion war cries have two separate components their exertion effect and their buff effect. You can perform a war cry solely for its buff effect think of that like a temporary Aura of some sort and then never use it for the exertion bonus which the opposite is also true. So in patch 3.25 every single war cry was

changed in some aspect, with the majority of them receiving changes to both their exertion and buff effects, and these changes were basically just straight up buffs. Take Seismic Cry, for example. The previous buff effect made it easier to stun enemies, and its exertion effect would give you increased area on your attacks and give you more area per attack that you previously exerted with the War Cry. Now, Seismic Cry's buff gives you more armor, yeah, more armor, and it gives you a gargantuan amount of area not conditional on any previous attacks. And that's just Seismic Cry. Ancestral Cry gives you max res, Battle Mes Cry gives you flat crit, basically more crit. Enduring Cry gives you life, free. Okay, this one was the only one that kind of got nerfed. It used to scale the buffs granted by Endurance Charges, which was stupidly powerful and basically provided you maximum physical damage reduction from that buff alone. But hey, look over here at Inferno Cry. Got like 60% more damage on Combustion, and Intimidating Cry got some movement speed.

too so uh that's pretty cool anyway all I'm trying to say is that War C got some changes but remember that auto exertion completely removes their buff component. You only get the exertion bonus again as the name would imply. So that means we're going to have to pick and choose carefully which war cries we manually cast and which ones we Auto exert. Before I get into details on that, we need to cover the third and final change with 3.25 patch: overexertion support. This thing is absolutely busted. If you're watching at a future date and it has not been nerfed yet, I would be genuinely shocked. Overexertion provides the single largest damage increase of all support gems in the entire game, minus maybe like returning projectiles. Good thing you guys only have like 18 more ways to get returning projectiles in your build, all you projectile dudes out there. H yeah, good one. You have like every single power increase known to mankind. That's really cool man. At least we got like more damage on our belt.

know what I'm saying melee belts eating pretty good. You know what I'm this baby grants a Who 18% more damage per war cry. This means that if you have five different exerts on your attack, which is not very hard to achieve, this little dude alone is giving you 90% more damage. And on top of that, it slaps in another 10% more for free. And the best part, that 10% is a separate multiplier, at least if we read this skill gy like every other skill gy in the game, whereas two lines are totally separate calculations. That is more than double your damage from one gem, even a Max level, heck, even a corrupted max level awaken gym doesn't provide that much damage. And overe exhaustion over here, he just a regular gy that you get over an act for absolutely crazy. All right, with all of that being said, now that you have a general overview of the build and why we're putting it together, let's get into the details. How do you actually put it together, remember the

whole point is we're trying to get our war cries to buff our Earth shatter, and also detonate the spikes as much as possible. Let's start with auto exertion; this AIDS Us in two ways. First, it automatically casts our war cries as soon as they're off of cool down, which gives us the most uptime possible on Spike pops, and second, it just also straight up reduces the cooldown of the war cries that it casts. Pretty cool. This cooldown reduction, which is called increased cooldown recovery rate in Path of Exile lingo, gets up to 29% at max level and Max quality. Then we snag a further 99% on the passive tree with this cluster and this singular note. In total, this more than halves the highest cooldown war cries in the game, which have a base cool down of 8 seconds, but we can go even further Beyond because each war cry quality bonus grants a further 40% cool down recovery, which brings us down to a grand total cool down of just 3.1 seconds. But there's a

problem because if we just leave things as they currently stand everything at Max quality all the war cries would just pop at the same time. This is obviously not very efficient for Spike pops. Luckily, there are a couple Solutions. The first and what I recommend to do for the build would be to Simply apply different quality amounts to the war cries that you are Auto exerting. Like Auto exertion, each war cries quality bonus also grants it cool down recovery but it is isolated to that singular cry. What this means is that instead of every war cry being a 3.1 second cooldown, we now can have one at 3.1, another one at 3.3, another at 3.5, Etc. Basically, we're just slightly staggering the war cries so when you first start casting, when they all pop at the same time, the cooldown difference between them all would be relatively small. But as I just described, the longer you cast, aka the longer you're fighting something, the greater the cooldown discrepancy would become and thus the

more frequent Spike pops. Just think about it like this: when you enter a Zone, initially all of your war cries will proc simultaneously because of Auto exert. Then the one war cry at 20% quality will recover at the 3.1-second Mark. Then another one at 4% quality, for example, would recover at the 3.5-second Mark. But the next time that both of them would activate for the 20%, that would be at 6.2 seconds, while the 4% would be at 7 seconds. Notice that discrepancy is getting bigger. Basically, if my math is correct, the war cries should line up perfectly again about every nine casts or so, which gives us plenty of staggered casts in between which help us pop the spikes. And this gets even better the more war cries you have at different cooldowns. But there is another and far simpler solution to this problem: generals cry. For whatever reason, this guy has a base cooldown of just 3 seconds, not eight, three. This means that

at the same level of cooldown recovery rate, General's Cry has a cooldown of just under 1.4 seconds. However, General's Cry does nothing to exert Earth Shatter; its exertion effects only apply to attacks used by The Mirage Warriors that it spawns, which those guys basically do nothing for us. We don't care about their attacks. So, the solution is to use a war cry that doesn't actually exert your attacks, which, if you remember the Ere Exert support, is not very ideal. Now, given these two options, either staggering the quality on your war cries or just using General's Cry, all you have to do is ask this question: Am I popping my Earth Shatter spikes enough in this current setup? To me, after testing both setups with this build, the answer is yes to both. Therefore, personally, I'm going to run with the staggered quality. However, again, you can just use General's Cry and remove all of the ambiguity. Now, that was a lot of words, I understand, trust me, but guess what? That was the hardest part of the

build congratulations. If you made it, let's dive into more details, which should be much easier to digest. All right, anyway, for the rest of you, let's dive into the details, starting with more war cries. That's right, we're not quite done yet, almost. If you remember from earlier, Auto-exertion does well just that. It exerts as in only exerts, and war cries have both an exertion and a buff effect, and some of their buff effects are actually quite good. Therefore, we need to figure out

which war cries we want to manually cast to get both their exertion and their buff effect versus those that we want to automatically cast for only the exertion. This is the setup that I found the most success with: seismic, intimidating, infernal, and battle mes cry on auto exert, and only rallying cry on manual cast. While I could toss in something like seismic on a manual cast as well, or heck, even enduring cry for its buff, I'm lazy. I just want to press as few buttons as I possibly can while still being relatively efficient. Thus, a single manual war cry. Now, the reason I specifically chose rallying cry is because its buff effect is quite potent. Essentially, rallying cry grants extra damage based on your total weapons damage. You can think of this added damage as the same of the mods you'd see on your rings or your amulets, but just way higher in value. And it grants you this damage based on the power of the war cry, which power is just based on how many and what type of enemies are nearby.

all in all, just think of rallying and cry as the more enemies and the stronger enemies that are around, I deal more damage. And if we were to run valy and cry in our Auto exert setup, we would lose that damage bonus entirely. Now, only manually casting a single war cry does come with the downside of reserving more of our Mana. Remember, each Auto exert war cry is 15%, but it's a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion for that extra quality of light. You definitely swap things around though, especially if you don't mind more buttons to press. Also, the reason why we're running battle mes cry in the first place while we're also running Resolute technique, there's a bit of an issue here now is because overexertion support only cares if the attack is exerted, not if the exert is actually doing anything. And as it currently stands, there actually aren't any other war cries who provide a useful exertion bonus past intimidating seismic infernal and rallying. So, we just slap in battle M his cry because we have the

room for it, and it still exerts our attacks for overexertion simple finally. And this is the last war cry thing. I promise, yes, infernal cry does work with brutality support. The reason is because combust is triggered by Earth shatter, and triggered effects benefit from the damage of the trigger skill but do not use the trigger skills links. So, infernal cry basically uses the damage bonus from brutality without the negation aspects. Pretty neat. Now for the rest of our links, well, they're really nothing special. Pulverize and Fist of War give some nice AOE when paired with Seis cry and melee Fizz, and brutality are simply for raw damage. For auras, uh, we're not actually running any. Instead, we go for Blood and Sand and held of Purity with auto-exert taking up the remainder of our reservation. And depending on your overall budget, you can do some shenanigans with extra Mana reservation efficiency on the tree and on your gear to eventually fit in things like flesh and Stone and even Pride at a certain

point both of which will give you substantially more damage however regardless of your budget you absolutely need to get two Elon minus Mana cost of non-ch channeling skills on your jewelry otherwise you will constantly have no Mana due to Auto exertion casting the war CRI don't say I didn't warn you and if you really don't want to farm betrayal you can actually just buy the Rings from other players on the trade site but make sure it is a veiled prefix mod by elreon not a suffix for the remainder of our skills vulnerability and War Banner are the big boy buff buttons and leap slaming Frost blink are for movement and for defense uh well we're playing the Juggernaut bada bing bada boom but really endurance Chargers are juggernaut's bread and butter and they were Giga buffed with the 3.25 patch to now provide 4% physical and Elemental damage reduction per charge previously they only granted physical damage reduction so now they're very

powerful crazy powerful. And for the Juggernaut, well, this node right here buffs all endurance Chargers by 25%. So we grab three endurance charges from the passive tree and another one from our ascendancy for a grand total of seven. Remember, every character comes three by default. And because of the same node that gives us this extra charge, we also have 100% uptime on endurance Chargers, with the only exception being before you actually enter combat. You got to start getting hit to generate them. For this reason, I like to put Enduring Cry in my weapon swap just in case I meet a particularly high-threat foe and I want my charges before going in. Other than endurance charges, we have quite a bit of armor from this beautiful jug node. Make sure that you prioritize getting as high an armor roll on your body as possible. And really just some standard life regen and leech to top it all off. Juggernaut's main power comes from his insane hit mitigation via endurance charges and armor. So that's all you really need to

focus on and that's it. That's the build. Run around, press your Earth shatter key, press your war cry key, and you're playing the game. Now, there are some more things that I could discuss with the build. As goes with everything in Path of Exile, you can always talk about it more, but I'll choose to end it here, as pretty much all the other information that you might be looking for is inside of the Path of Building. Use the notes tab here in the top left and the preset drop-down menu here in the top right. That's a new feature, definitely don't forget about it. And as for when to actually start playing this build, I recommend that you level up using Sunder. Again, your notes tab will cover that. There's a whole leveling section there, and I would recommend that you wait until around level 75, so basically right in the middle of white Maps, basically at the start of your end-game experience, until you swap to Earth shatter. The reason is you need a few things swapped over, like the war cry passives getting 20% quality.

on auto exertion and some other war cries before it starts, really feeling like it's really clicking with Earth shatter, and before that point Sunder is perfectly fine to use, so just keep using it. Also for endgame upgrades AKA things that you can work towards on this character to be tankier, get more damage, or whatever, there are two builds that I've included in the path of building. The first one is t17 farm, this is my actual character that I used, and it's very tanky, does enough damage, but then there's a second one with way higher investment, and I want to make it clear that probably to most of you, this is a very high investment setup, but the Giga damage setup gives you, uh, exactly what its name would imply. And finally, if your answer to the question of what is your budget is simply just yes, then there's no reason why you can get the best of both worlds, go ahead and get your Giga damage, cap your spell suppress, get a plus one endurance implicit ring with a candra touch, the world is your.

oyster finally note that the damage for this build in path of building is dictated by both the impact of Earth shatter, plus any spikes that are overlapping the Target, and uh, you can have uh up to 18 spikes on the ground at the same time.
