So, in order for us to live healthily, of course, there are many benefits to coffee, but I think about how good it would be to reduce caffeine intake and drink coffee. Today, I will tell you about the self-diagnosis method for caffeine addiction, and if you have symptoms related to caffeine in videos, it could mean that you need to reduce caffeine intake. Now, let me explain the criteria for diagnosing caffeine addiction. First of all, the daily caffeine intake amount is 250mg.

If you have five or more of the 12 symptoms I am about to mention, the first condition is if your daily caffeine intake is over 250mm, and the second condition is having five or more of the 12 symptoms. Let me list the 12 symptoms for you. The first is having a feeling of restlessness. It's a bit anxious and restless, causing a lack of stability. So, unknowingly, you may have these restless feelings, which is the first symptom. The second is indigestion or symptoms related to the digestive system. So, if your stomach feels uneasy, or if you have indigestion, these symptoms are present. The third is symptoms of nervousness. There are times when your nerves are more sensitive than usual. I'm talking about cases like this. The fourth is when you feel excited about something. So, if you are not calm and feel excited, these symptoms are present. The fifth is insomnia.

If you cannot sleep deeply or cannot fall asleep quickly, if you have these symptoms, the sixth is muscle tension, so the muscles keep tensing and shaking, and when your eyelids tremble, it's also muscle tension. If you have these symptoms, next is the seventh, having attention deficit, so you can't focus, can't concentrate on something, and keep getting distracted. Next, the eighth is incoherent information and language, so when speaking or doing something, the conversation keeps going without coherence. Next, the ninth is facial flushing, so if your face gets a bit red, that symptom occurs. Next, the tenth is not feeling tired, meaning even though it's time to sleep, you don't feel tired and don't feel exhausted. And the eleventh is frequent urination.

It is an annoying symptom, too frequent urination, also one of the symptoms of caffeine addiction. Next, the 12th is when your heartbeat is a bit fast or irregular, and you feel your chest pounding. If you have five or more of the 12 symptoms I mentioned so far, and if your daily caffeine intake is over 250mg, then it can be considered caffeine addiction. Of course, you may not have all five symptoms, and even if you consume more than 250mg, you may think, But I only have three of the symptoms. Some people may think like that. Actually, for those people, according to the criteria for diagnosing caffeine addiction, it is not yet pathological addiction, but still, you should be cautious. I'm telling you this. I would like to talk about the possibility of occurrence due to excessive caffeine. I will give you a few words from now on. First, tension headaches. When your head hurts and your muscles are tense, it often happens. In these cases, it is often related to caffeine. Therefore, excessive caffeine can cause muscle tension, as mentioned in the diagnostic criteria. Muscles can tighten, and it is easy to become dehydrated, which can lead to headaches. So, excessive caffeine can also be related to frequent tension headaches. This is the first point. Secondly, psychological anxiety or panic disorders keep occurring. Of course, it cannot be said that panic disorders themselves are due to caffeine, but for those who have anxiety or panic disorders.

If you consume excessive caffeine, the symptoms can worsen. That's right. So, this is also related. And then thirdly, it's chronic fatigue. As mentioned in the addiction diagnostic criteria earlier, there were symptoms of not feeling tired or fatigued. Conversely, even if there is persistent chronic fatigue, this is also related to caffeine addiction. So, when you consume a lot of caffeine, you may feel less tired at that moment due to the awakening effect, but as time passes, when the caffeine drops again, you may immediately feel tired. If chronic fatigue persists, it is also a sign of caffeine dependency or addiction. You should consider these symptoms as one. Next, the fourth thing I would like to mention is in cases of hyperthyroidism. If the thyroid function is overactive, the heart rate is fast, and there is a bit of a chest.

I would like to advise those who are nervous to please refrain from consuming caffeine. In fact, caffeine itself does not create hyperthyroidism, but if you have this condition, avoiding caffeine can greatly help alleviate symptoms.
