2024 is coming to an end, which means it's as good a time as any to give you a rundown of the best laptops of 2024, or at least some of them anyway. Here we go, in no particular order, starting with the M3 MacBook Air. While we've always liked

the MacBook Air for its portability, the addition of Apple's M series chips means you get great performance and battery life too. The M3 Air will meet the needs of many people, and now that it comes in 13 and 15 sizes, you don't have to move

up to a pricier MacBook Pro just to get a larger display. And it still has a slim, fanless body. The Air is the least expensive MacBook, but it still starts at $1,000 with an M3 chip in it. But you can

still get the M2 Air for $88.99, and both come with 16 gigs of memory in the base configurations. Next up is a true Windows rival to the Air, the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7, which also starts at $1,000. We

tested several laptops this year, but the Surface was the best of the bunch and a great choice for anyone looking for a slim, sleek Windows laptop with a solid feel, processing performance that competes with the M3 Air, and even better battery life. If you're interested

in better graphics performance for gaming or content creation but still want something small, the Republic of Gamers Zephyr G14 is on our list. It has a smart design with some lighting flashiness, plus an excellent 14-in OLED screen. It also has a surprisingly full

set of ports for its size and Asus includes factory calibrated display profiles for sRGB and DCI-P3 given its higher end specs though it starts at around $1,600. And finally at the other end of the computing spectrum is the Lenovo Duet 11, a Chrome OS tablet that's good

for entertainment and productivity and it's cheap starting at $350 and that price includes a really nice keyboard cover. While it's not super powerful it is nice as a small secondary device or for people who just need a simple computer for typical daily online tasks like shopping or chatting with
