Your 50s are a very important time because they will determine how the second half of your life will go. But you need to be intentional because the time will fly by.

I'm in my late 50s, so I know how it feels. Let's face it, you're not young anymore, but we have a lot of time, hopefully, but not unlimited time, because our parents are dying, or some of them already dead, and some of your uncles and aunts are also dying.

So you know, you know it's coming, but not too fast.

So you have to really estimate how much time you have. Think of your father, mother, grandparents, uh, how old they passed away.

Can you live to be 100, or are you likely to die from 70, 80? If one of your parents died when they were young, you probably start counting how many years you have: 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, and 30 years.

We never know, but we have to understand the precious time and then your clock is ticking. So let's prioritize what is most important for us.

The second point I want to make is, realize that health is an important asset. You may not have paid much attention to health, but think about it: if you're sick, you're stuck in a house or you're stuck in a hospital.

Think of you got everything that you have: money, great work, you have great family, many great friends, but without health, it's hard to do anything.

You take it for granted while you're healthy, but once you lose that, you regret it so much. So don't lose it to begin with, and then while you're healthy, invest in it.

It's almost like uh, taking care of your parts in your car.

If you don't do good maintenance, your car will break down very soon. But if you keep good maintenance, it will keep going for a while so let's face it, health is the most important asset.

Let's keep it as long as possible. And the third point I want to share is live true to yourself and enjoy yourself.

In your past, you had to do so many other things for your family members, your parents, and your clients.

And you have put probably some people first, and then you're always on the back of the line. In your 50s, you have to really learn how to say no. No, no, no. It's not just one no. This is definitely no. And uh, you can say it in such a fun, graceful manner.

You can say, you know, I'm getting old, you know, I can say no, can I? You know, but you have to really respect yourself.

If you feel like you don't want to do it, don't do it because a lot of people go into sacrifice to please other people.

So what are the things that you haven't done in your past? In everyday life, why don't you come up with a list that will bring you joy?

Like a nice cup of coffee with your precious coffee beans, or you can have one cup of precious tea. And I think you can enjoy the luxury even in your busiest day.

You can find one or two things that bring you joy. So just come up with ways to make yourself very happy and just enjoy what you have in terms of health, time, and the hobbies or the relationships you have.
