This stray dog, who recently came to the construction site, today, after I fed her, she happily led me somewhere.

As she walked, she kept looking back to make sure I was following her. We've known each other for over ten days.

She has such a wonderful personality and doesn't bark much, so we always bring her food whenever we see her.

When she slowly crawled back into her den, I finally saw that there were several puppies inside. Perhaps these days of feeding have made her trust me, which is why she brought me to meet her children.

It's been raining at night these past few days, and I suddenly remembered the cat shelter I made but haven't used yet.

I'll make the entrance wider for the dogs to use, so they won't have to endure the wind and rain outside.

I'll add a cushion to make their shelter softer, then I'll carry the puppies home in a bucket.

This is my first time seeing such young puppies; they seem to be only about a week old. I was a bit worried the mother dog might bite me, so I started talking to her, telling her I made them a warm shelter.

They won't have to suffer from wind and rain anymore. The mother dog seemed to understand and didn't stop me from holding her children.

Later, I successfully put the puppies in the bucket, with the mother dog following closely behind. At home, I started placing each little one into the shelter: one brown, one creamy white, and the third one brown.

The fourth one is creamy white, the next one is also creamy white, and the last one is creamy white too.

Seeing them sleeping so comfortably in their new home, making soft whimpering sounds, it's so adorable; my heart is melting.

Of course, I can't forget about the mother dog. The new shelter seems a bit small, but at least they won't be cold anymore.

Looking at the mother dog, she seems quite satisfied with the new shelter. Stay with me from now on, little ones.

It was raining again last night, and I was worried about the dogs, so I came early this morning.

The mother dog quickly ran to greet me when she saw me. Seeing the puppies safe, I could finally relax.

This little one had somehow crawled out, wet and cold, thankfully still alive. I can see now that this shelter is indeed too small, and without a threshold, the puppies can easily crawl out.

I brought some chicken liver for the mother dog today.  First time I've seen a dog eat a whole pack of chicken liver at once; she must have been really hungry.

After she finishes eating, I'll go to the construction site to find materials and make them a larger shelter.

The previous shelter was actually meant for future cats, but we had to use it for them due to the sudden situation.

Today I'll make do with the materials available at the construction site. While I'm building, another puppy has crawled out.

I quickly went to put the little one back, then brought the mother dog up to test the size of the new shelter.

After measuring the size, I started cutting all the wooden boards. During this time, the mother dog watched me curiously.

First, I secured the boards temporarily with panel pins, then reinforced them one by one with iron nails. After fixing three sides, it was almost noon.

I fed the mother dog first, then had lunch with the workers from the construction site. After lunch, I continued making the new shelter for the puppies, using the site's polypropylene fabric for the waterproof roof.

Just as I finished the roof, the mother dog came to inspect the work, checking on my progress.

I'm not sure if the mother dog likes this new shelter, but I think the dimensions are quite good; spacious enough.

I used a thick cloth to cover the front door to prevent drafts at night, and deliberately raised the threshold this time.

This should prevent the puppies from crawling out so easily. The mother dog later successfully moved in. After going in, the mother dog kept watching me; I wonder what she was thinking in her little head.

Before leaving, I added a layer of film on the roof so they won't have to worry about rain at night.

Early on the third day, I came to check on the dogs again. The mother dog came to greet me from afar.

Today I came to see if the new shelter is working well. Since a puppy crawled out of the first shelter because it was too small,

I was quite worried about this shelter too. When I lifted the curtain, I saw one was missing, but later found it squeezed into a corner.

That really scared me, but I counted and all six puppies were there. After checking on the puppies, I went to prepare food for the mother dog. She's so thin you can see her bones.

After her meal, I gave her some dried fish. A friend who raises dogs told me it's best to put some dry straw in dog shelters.

So I went to ask around the nearby village for straw. The mother dog followed me the whole way.

Fortunately, this elderly man had some straw and gave it to me. After getting it, I started heading back.

After thanking the elderly man, I called the mother dog and we went back. I quickly laid down the straw for them.

Now the dogs' shelter is very secure, with small bricks weighing it down and thick plastic sheets hanging on both sides.

The wind won't blow it away in this weather. I carefully stuffed the straw inside, being very gentle to avoid hurting the puppies.

After setting up the straw, I went to handle other tasks, as the small courtyard is almost finished renovating, and I'm working on some handicrafts.

During a break, I saw the mother dog searching for food below, so I called her back. The mother dog is really friendly and obedient; she comes whenever I call her. When I call her to my side, she'll make her way around to me.

While I was sitting here resting, I wanted her to come up and sit with me for a while. Since she couldn't climb up, I lifted her up.

Now the mother dog has someone to care for her. I'll do my best to take good care of her and her babies.

Day five, today I discovered the puppies have opened their eyes, looking all cute and chubby. Since becoming attached to this family, I've been running to the courtyard early every morning. The most heartwarming thing is how the mother dog wags her tail and comes over when I call.

After petting the mother dog, I checked on the puppies and then fed her. Today I named the mother dog "Eleven" because we met in November.

After eating, Eleven went somewhere and got covered in burrs, so I cleaned her up to prevent her from scratching.

Recently, we've been working on an ecological fish pond in the courtyard. We've finished waterproofing it, and today we're doing a water retention test.

Suddenly, I caught an adorable scene – she was at the small ecological fish tank I made before. She probably comes here to drink when she's thirsty.

No wonder I noticed the water level in the fish tank getting lower lately – Eleven's been drinking from it!

Since I had time today, I sanded down the entrance of her house. Since the puppies were sleeping inside, I only used sandpaper to do it by hand.

After finishing, I checked with my hand – when I could barely feel any rough spots, it was done.

After I finished, the mother dog went in to nurse. I wanted to see the little ones sleeping, but discovered the puppies had opened their eyes.

So far I've seen the white puppy open its eyes. I quickly put on gloves to take a closer look.

Both eyes are open now, looking so adorably chubby. Before leaving in the afternoon, I prepared a bowl of food for Eleven.

I also left an extra bowl of white rice nearby in case she gets hungry at night. Later, I added more bricks on top of the plastic covering the house – now it can withstand even stronger winds.

Knowing I was leaving to rest, Eleven came to see me off, following me. I told her to go back and take care of her babies.

Earlier, when puppies got out, I thought they crawled out themselves, until today I saw… Today the incident happened again. I had considered various reasons but never thought of this one – Eleven was taking her children out herself.

I gave Eleven many of the dumplings I had for lunch. After she was full, she hid the dumplings right under my nose!

I'm planning to plant flowers in this garden, and if she hides them here, there won't be anything left. When I took them out, she quickly grabbed them and ran.

I thought she would take them back to her den to eat, but she hid them again. It breaks my heart to see this.

This must be a habit from when she was a stray – always worrying about the next meal even when full.

I know she's afraid of being hungry, so from now on I'll make sure she gets three meals a day – chicken breast with rice.

Though we're not wealthy, at least we'll make sure she never goes hungry again. Since Eleven is still nursing, I was worried about using external deworming medicine that might affect the puppies, so I bought her an anti-flea and mosquito collar.

After all these days, the puppies have grown bigger, and Eleven has kept them well-fed and plump.

Day eight, now Eleven runs to my side whenever she sees me. I tell her to take good care of her babies when I'm not around, and not to let them fall out again.

When I have time, I occasionally come to watch Eleven nursing, observing quietly. Seeing that no more puppies have fallen out, I feel relieved. The well-fed puppies sleep peacefully.

A good friend came to see Eleven and specially made pork trotter soup for her, saying it would help with milk production.

Just then we saw a puppy sleeping by the doorway, and Eleven immediately moved her baby back inside. Now Eleven seems to know how to come out properly – she checks if any puppies are nursing before leaving.

As time passes, the puppies have gone from newborns to opening their eyes, and now they're starting to crawl around.

The grey-speckled puppy is the most playful and seems the healthiest, always crawling around in the den.

It's also the most enthusiastic about nursing. Looking at these lively puppies, I'll probably need to make them an enclosure in a few days.

But the urgent matter is adding windproofing to their den – it's suddenly gotten cold here; I'm even wearing a down jacket.

There are still some gaps between the wooden boards, so I wrapped a yoga mat around the wooden house.

It can block at least eighty percent of the wind. Currently, our yard has lots of renovation materials piled up.

I thought about moving them to a different spot, but their current location is right under the security camera, so I can check on Eleven through it when I'm home.

I wouldn't be able to see them if I moved them, and I'd worry. Now we don't need to worry about drafts in the dog house.

Day ten, I don't even need to call Eleven anymore; she seems to recognize my footsteps and runs to me quickly.

Before, I would cook rice at home every night and bring it the next day, adding some chicken breast for her.

When I didn't have cooked rice at home, it was very inconvenient; I had to wait until lunch at the construction site to feed Eleven.

Today I bought some vegetables to cook specially for her. Eleven seemed a bit shy when I told her it was made just for her.

Last night I learned how to make dog food online—with spinach, carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and purple cabbage.

I also added ten eggs and lots of chicken breast, mixed together with corn flour. The new stove in the courtyard is ready to use now. Eleven sees how hard I work and tries to help with some household chores.

I'm not really experienced with wood-burning stoves. The workers at the site were all busy today, so it took me a while to get the fire going.

Eleven stayed by my side watching me. After the water boiled, I shaped the mixture into bun shapes and steamed them for half an hour.

Eleven must have smelled the aroma, as she waited patiently beside the stove. I told her to wait just a little longer; it would be ready soon.

The little one kept licking her lips, must be really hungry. When the first batch was done, it was also our mealtime.

Eleven started going around to each worker having lunch, just like she used to do before we found her.

We would all feed her something, which is why she's so friendly with all of us. Once the food balls cooled down, it was her turn to eat.

Actually, Eleven has become a bit picky with food now. I was worried she wouldn't like this—before she would happily eat plain white rice.

Later, she would only eat rice with chicken breast, picking out only the chicken. I even have video proof—she'd dig holes in her food looking for chicken.

Looks like she loves this too. All six puppies in the den are very healthy; some are so energetic they crawl around like they're battery-powered, never stopping.

After Eleven finished eating, she went in to nurse her puppies. This little one can run now, so lively!

When the puppies saw their mother come in, they all rushed to nurse. The grey-speckled one kept searching upward for milk.

In the afternoon, when I had free time, we both sunbathed here. Every time I call her, she comes over willingly to let me pet her.

Well-fed and content, she's so relaxed from my petting that she can barely keep her eyes open. Must feel really good. Our Eleven is quite beautiful.

Before leaving, I fed Eleven a bit more, but she grabbed the food and ran. I quickly followed to see where she would hide it.

I chased after her, telling her there's plenty more food for her, no need to hide it.

The little one seemed to understand, stopped running, and started eating the food ball she was carrying. Such a heartwarming good girl! From now on, we won't need to hide food anymore—I'll make her delicious meals every day.

I hope Eleven can soon forget the bad memories from her days as a stray. I'll give her extra love from now on.
