Alright, the much-awaited Pixel Fold! No, we won't call it Pixel Fold this time. This time we'll call it Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Yes, this was the first fold, now it's Pixel 9 Pro Fold. So the generation is a little different, but today we'll do its unboxing & first impressions. Look at the box, it's completely flat & square. It's a little different. There are a lot of interesting things, friends! This time in the Pixel 9 series, there's the Pixel 9, 9 Pro & 9 Pro XL. We've done a video on the 9 & 9 Pro XL, if you haven't seen it, do watch it. I'm not going to talk about a lot of AI stuff in it. But we're definitely going to talk about what's unique about it. And this phone is totally unique according to me. You'll come to know why. Let's open it & see what's inside this small square box.

Yes, this is thin! It comes with all the other folds. There's a USB Type C to Type C cable. Look at this. And then you have a sim card tray & documentation. That's about it! It's not a tray, it's a sim card tool. Let's keep this aside & look at the phone. Alright, let's open it. Look at the camera module. Oh, I didn't want to tear it. Oh, let's remove it like this. Ok, this is wide! It's thin, friends! And, ok. I'm going to show you the folds that are available. This is the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. This is the most popular Z Fold 6 & OnePlus Open. This isn't a fold, but look at these folds. And you'll know how wide the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is. It's more comparable to OnePlus Open, but it's wider than that. But if I compare it with this, it's at least 20% wider.

Look at that! Oh my! That's why I ordered all these phones. I think this is just right, slightly wide. But this is very wide. In hand feel, I'd say it's the most wide of the Z Fold 6. Do let me know if I should compare it with the Z Fold 6. Because that's one of the most popular folds available. So we'll compare it with it. The pricing is also comparable. So do let us know in the COMMENTS section. But overall, it's wide, but I'd say it's thin. And in terms of weight, I think it's 245g. 243-244g, let's see. It's 28g! According to the Z Fold 6, it's 241g. So it's heavier than the Z Fold 6. In fact, if I look at the OnePlus Open, it's 241g. So it's the most heaviest of the lot. It's wide & heavy.

But its front display is exactly the same as the Pixel 9's 6.3'' display. It feels like they've made a fold around the display. So that's what I think. But yes, I'd say one thing: if I compare it with the Z Fold 6, it's narrow & wide, so you'll do a lot of things on the front screen. Alright, let's start it. Till then, let me quickly show you the ports & buttons. At the bottom, you get a sim card tray, 2 microphones, a speaker grill with a USB Type C port. On the right, there's a volume rocker at the bottom. You'll need some time to get used to it. And then there's a power on/off button at the top. Generally, the position of the volume rocker is at the top. Then you have a speaker grill at the top. And what's this? It's a mm wave antenna. And then you get a microphone at the top as well.

On the left, you don't have a microphone. Wow! I mean, this feels like Gorilla Glass Victus 2's protection. Before you comment that I forgot to drop it, let's drop it. And let's drop it from the top. It's a Gorilla Glass Victus 2, nothing should happen. In fact, I'll drop it hard. Alright, nothing. Nice! The build is good. It's thin, but it feels good. So it stays at most of the angles. Even this angle is nice. Talking about the crease, I think it's an average-sized crease. It's not less, not more. I'd say it's an average size. Yeah, that's about it. But the display inside is big. Talking about the upper display, it's a 6.3'' big display with 120Hz, but it's FHD+. Talking about the inner display, it's a big 8'' square display with 2K resolution & 120Hz.

It has 2700 nits brightness, so it's a very bright display. The outer display is also 2700 nits brightness, so I'd say it's a very bright display. Talking about the refresh rate, it's 120Hz but 1 is to 120. So it's adaptive. The next one is 60Hz or 120Hz. Talking about the specs, if I compare it with the Pixel Fold 1st generation, then it's an upgrade in all aspects. There were a lot of problems in the Pixel Fold 1st generation. If you look at it online, the 1st generation Pixel wasn't all that great. But they solved a lot of the problems. There was a Tensor G2 chipset, now there's a Tensor G4. There's only 1 variant with 16GB RAM & 256GB storage. Now instead of 256GB, they should've given 512GB. I think for Rs 1,73,000, it's priced at Rs 1,72,999 in

India. Think about it! And according to that, it should've been 512GB. The storage type is also UFS 3.1. If you look at the rest of the Folds, you get 4.0 in all of them. It's the latest storage type, but this one is 3.1. It's the Pixel's own storage type, so I'm not sure. And it's an LPDDR5X RAM type. Talking about the battery, it's a 4650mAh battery. And it's 21W charging. 21W? I mean, again, not done! Anyways, it's a good thing that the battery will last you for the whole day. We've tested it & you get a good 5.5-6 hours of screen on time. So you should have a normal usage for the whole day. Absolutely, you shouldn't have any problems. And remember, you're only going to use the front screen.

70-90% of the time. So that's good. If you use the inner display, the battery will obviously last longer. Now let's talk about performance. Again, if I talk about OnePlus Open, Z Fold 6, Vivo XFold 3 Pro, these all give better performance. In comparison to them, the AnTuTu score is 1.2-1.3M. When you shift to TSMC in the next variant, we'll see a score improvement. You'll be able to do 60FPS gaming. But people who are going to buy this phone will buy it for multitasking & camera. And if I talk about the specs, you get a 48MP primary sensor, 10.5MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10.8MP 5X telephoto sensor. Where did these numbers come from? I really don't understand. But yes, you get a 5X telephoto sensor, so that's good.

And if I talk about the inner sensor, it's not in the middle or here. You get the sensor on the extreme right, which is 10MP. And the front sensor is in the middle, in the center punch hole. And that is also 10MP. So there are 5 cameras in total. But how is the performance? I'm going to talk about AI & OS. Wait for that as there are some interesting things. But again, we expect a lot from Pixel. The cameras are good, we've taken different photos in the original quality phase. We'll talk about that in comparison. But right now, let's talk about the cameras. There's a bit of a reddish tint if you take portraits or normal skin tones. So there are warm tones, I'm not sure why they weren't able to fix it. And even the bokeh I saw in some photos, it looked very unnatural. It was looking a bit too much. And the bokeh doesn't look natural when there's a fall-off.

When there's less bokeh when it's close, and when it's far, it should look smooth. The fall-off didn't look that good or natural to me. And despite being Google's Pixel flagship, the edge cutout leaves a lot to desire. It's still not as good as it should be. And if you don't believe me, you're a Pixel hater; it's not like that. Go & see the photos in the original quality; you'll know what I'm saying. And especially when we compared the photos side by side, we found that it wasn't normal. Even the colors of the t-shirt, where it's blue, looked a bit purple to me. Because there's a bit of a reddish tint added to it. So you know, that is them. But yes, all the features are there. In fact, the AI features in the photos, especially the magic eraser, I think this does it perfectly. It does it perfectly.

The better Google Pixel does it, and that's expected. The less time it takes, and it's very nicely implemented. So the AI features in the photo editing, even in the OS, they work quite well. And I won't go into details about the AI features. I've already talked about it in the 9 Pro XL video I'm giving in the iCard. But in the video, it does 4K 60FPS front & back. So yeah, that is there. Let's talk about the OS. Yes, Android 14 is out of the box. Android 15 isn't there, which is what I think it should be. But yes, Android 14 is there, plus 7 years of updates! So you're going to get Android from 2021 if you use 6-7 years. So all the sensors are there, connectivity, next-level WiFi 7, etc. So you don't have to worry about sensors, connectivity,

small features, we don't talk much about them. And Google hasn't mentioned anything about the durability. I'm not interested in how many folds there are, there are 7 years of updates, but it should last for 7 years, but they haven't said. But obviously, it must have been tested. If I talk about the small features, then there's IPX8 certification. But for multimedia, it's amazing except for 1 caveat. I mean, the audio quality is excellent & the pictures you see are of top-notch quality. But yes, due to the square display, when you see 16.9, you get huge black bars. Despite being Google's own phone, Android being Google's & Pixel having Android & Google as the owner, the optimizations of the OS are better than Z Fold 6 & OnePlus Open. For eg, I have to use Instagram, it's not all that well optimized. It's not that you can't use it, obviously you can, but

they're not as well optimized as Z Fold 6. Yes, you can do multitasking, you can split windows in 1 type, you can use 3 apps in 1 window. So, it's a multitasking thing, but the optimization could have been better. And I'm looking at this phone from a Rs 1.73 Lakh smartphone, so how should it be? Because if you look at the rest, you get the rest of the folds for Rs 1.5 Lakh. This is more expensive than that, so you need more things, right? So, this is the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. For which I was impatiently waiting for. And the camera that I thought would be the best camera on the Fold, I think it's not that. It'll probably improve with updates, we'll wait for it. We're going to get major updates for 7 years, so there's a lot of scope for improvement. But if you're a Pixel fan, you'll have mixed reactions like
