Hey guys, Paon here. Today, let's take a little bit of a dive into the build I've been playing over the last 5 days that I've been having a ton of fun with, which is the Path of Flames Gemma. So 5 days ago, the new Torchlight League started and yeah, the league mechanic is absolutely broken. I love it. I'll make a separate video about that one, how to make currency, etc., but right now we're going to focus on the build I've been playing. Now, this build is basically very reminiscent of, for example, Righteous Fire from Path of Exile. It is, you walk over enemies and everything dies, and you also have kind of an AOE around that spreads the dot around on the screen, so you don't actually have to walk over anything. But Path of Flames is basically exactly that. It is a burning ground wherever you walk. So you could call it auto-bomber or whatever you want to call it. It is the first time I was actually able to leak an auto-bomber in Torch.

that infinite usually that is something towards the end of the game because you have to save up for mediums that are quite expensive that automate your skills but this skill comes automated already and usually with these kind of builds you think oh it's going to be nice clear but the single Target is going to be bad definitely not the clear is basically as good as your movement speed can get you and the single Target damage is very very strong. I went all the way from a few Millions on leak start to now 1.4 trillion so whereas usually on leak starters imp pey I go very small in this I will basically show you some steps along the way and all the way up to end game where I'm now basically a mono stacker. If you've never played this game before Gemma flame of pleasure the hero I'm playing is a paid class pass or available with hero token which means either you have to get the battle pass to play all the heroes you want or you have to first Farm the hero.

tokens yourself, uh, free-to-play, and then buy it later. So as a league starter, unless you have the battle pass, you won't be able to play it. If you want a completely free-to-play character, I will also link something down below in the description. Uh, but with that said, let's go into the mechanics of this build. For people already playing this build, I'll give you a reference point in terms of damage right here. It will ramp up to probably around about 1.4 trillion damage, I would assume. But I did change around some items, so it could be more or less. It went a little bit more, okay, so round about 1.5 trillion. Now, if we look at the scale, we can see a few details. It's a spell, fire channel, persistent. Persistent means it's basically a DOT, and that is what this whole build is about. You're not going to crit. It is completely DOT. The DOT damage lasts for a second, 20% movement speed while channeling, which is nice, but it also gives you 20% additional duration for

this character for every plus one maximum Channel Stacks. So you start at five, and you can scale it up to 12. You can see the channel Stacks right here. I'm currently at 10. Skill effect duration is straight up a more multiplier for this build. Now let's go to actually before we go on. If you want to play this build the most coziest way possible, you go to path of flames down here in battle in options, and you click on auto channel so you can toggle it. Besides that though, where does your damage come from? The damage numbers seem very in inent, but here's what happens. You deal damage to enemies that are standing in your fire, but your main damage sewers actually comes from a talent that you're using, which is reap purification. And is this one right here. Additionally, settles 65% of the remaining total when reaping, then removes all of the targets dots. So you don't need to know exactly what this means. All I will say is this basically.

takes a long dot that would usually take forever to ramp up and reduces the damage by quite a bit, but deals it instantly. Um, but it removes the whole dot whenever it hits. That is usually a huge downside. Why is it so great with path of flames? Well, the difference is we're not in ailment, we're not applying anything. The fire ground does not go away, meaning if an enemy stands on top of the burning ground, the reification will remove the dot and then with server tick rate 0.033 seconds, immediately apply it again, basically completely nullifying the whole downset and just give you massive damage. So the enemy stands in the fire reap pu ification deals the damage and removes the dot, but since pla Flames is a static ground, it just goes over and over and over as long as the enemy stands in there, which means that for example a reap right here, it says reaps 0.2 second of thought damage, has a 1-second cooldown. The reap duration does not matter whatsoever, not in the

slightest. It doesn't do anything. The only important thing is that that you reap as often as possible. So reap duration. Useless reap cooldown recovery very strong. So how does this a skill scale though because it is a dot but is not an ailment first up Affliction effect. Affliction if you guys don't know is basically an effect that can give the enemy up to 100% more dot damage taken. It is ridiculous and you can increase its effect with Affliction effect. You can see I have 40% here. I have a little bit here. I would like to have it on my amulet. In total I have an okay amount. I get uh some here. I have an okay amount but in general this is a very high Target stat. The second one is reaps you can get them from your gloves. You can get them from your belt from your weapon um from your passive tree get them all they great. The third one is intelligence we're going to talk about that in the gear section but the way they changed

main stat right now for your skill is that it actually deals 0.5% more damage per stat. So if I have 600 in I get 300% more damage. So stats are highly important for every build. Basically fire and L pen do actually work in this game even with dots. So that is very good to get extra Channel Stacks from wherever you can get it. Also very strong I don't have too many mostly for my passive tree more than that later skill effect duration is very strong which is why I do have two traceless pains right now which give me skill effect duration and a reap obviously increase damage important to note spell damage actually does increase the damage that your dot deals usually doesn't but it isn't an ailment it is spell the spell itself and the spell spell deals the damage so spell image does work uh and then also Mana stacking we're going to go into that at the end of the video because it's the high investment version then let's talk about our hero trade which is

Gemma, Flame of Pleasure. This is basically kind of a Fire Mage. It has Ignite support where we're not Ignite, we are Fire DOT. Important to note is this hero is quite hard to understand at first because of the sloppy translation. However, I will make it as easy as possible for you, and I will explain to you what all this stuff means. I will not go over my choices here are complete no-brainers, so you should follow them to a. If you play a different build, obviously reconsider, but if you play this build, there is no other choices. Now she starts out with this circle around you, right? I'm going to activate it again. This circle around you is called Purgatory. Everything that is in the Purgatory can will be applied with Brands, right? So whenever there's an enemy, let's say, for example, the dummy right here, you will see this thing over its head. That is the brand. This brand attached to enemies and records damage you deal to it. So during me dealing damage to the enemy, a certain percentage of the damage is being recorded and

stored for later. How much that is depends on your hero memories relics talents. Doesn't matter but a certain percentage in regular intervals you will trigger death by fire which removes that recorded damage and actually deals the damage. Which is around a wild way to say that everything that's branded takes a certain amount of more damage at certain intervals. It's pretty straightforward but the reason this hero is so great on this build is because it would be quite annoying if I had to actually walk over everything I want to kill. It is not very fun to clear with however if you have this AOE which by the way automatically activates whenever you're in a map you don't have to press anything. This is a true Auto bomber. I'm not clicking anything you can click blurry steps for better op time which I'm actually doing which is your movement skill but in general this just spreads the damage you deal over all enemies in this circle. So I run over one enemy here and an enemy over there will

get targeted super important for this is that you have one stat on your memory that looks like this for every percentage skill area every Purgatory inflicts plus one brand this one will transform your build from decent clear speed to insane level 60 is roundabout where the build starts feeling good with burning depths right here before that it's just a bunch of mole multipliers so you get a little bit more damage during campaign but now you feel semi-automated and at level 90 you're completely automated now next let's go over items so this is my sloppy gear that I had at this point this is not GG gear this is exactly what I was wearing so you have to do with that I basically saved this one uh whenever I had it so most importantly if you go right here to the event center you can scroll down you go to Legendary Vision you can put in three legendaries that have wildly more chance to drop you will feel this quite a bit the three items you want to put in here so you can

find them yourself and don't have to buy them is strange snow traceless pain and blade dancer steps these items give you the most bang for your buck especially early so get them ASAP let's start with strange snow early on you're not going to have the currency to craft a fliction effect wherever you can but this gives you 100% straight up with a little bit of a downside where it consumes a little bit of your HP it doesn't matter there a huge damage boost try to get another reap or maybe int or whatever you can on it in general you want to get as much intelligence as you can a lot of people that I look at their builds and they're like I deal no damage they have like 100 200 in you should try to get 4 500 in if you really can just get it everywhere it's a more multiplier that's what they change to sleep my helmet is completely garbage uh if you run this one have a two set at least I basically was just in this weird

period where I didn't have anything. Just get a helmet with as much energy Shield as possible. Nothing else really matters. Same with the body armor. Get maximum energy Shield. It's also a good place to get some resistances. Corrupted bullwark is very cheap so it gives you a ton of energy Shield. These gloves here have basically just a reap and energy Shield. That's about it. You don't really need all that much more. Your B should just be there for resistances. You can also get a reap as high as possible because the cool down actually goes down. One important thing on some items, the cool down of the reap actually doesn't go down, and on some others it does. So on the ones where it doesn't, the tier doesn't matter. You just need any reap. But on this one, for example, it can go down to like one second. The boots are ridiculous. The additional damage for Mobility skill actually works for the th. So this is straight up just more damage. Get it as high as possible and crafts.

and movement speed on ASAP two times traceless pain. These are huge damage multipliers. They give you skill effect duration and an extra reap. And then you can also craft on it. They're just, they're gigantic. Try to get affliction effect crafted on it, and they are going to carry your ass. Then in terms of Wands, these are already decent wands. I actually had ones before. So what you're looking for is mostly Affliction effect is the most important stat. After that, one you want plus two levels, very strong. You want intelligence. You want that reap if you can. I think the reap actually doesn't scale with levels, but I don't remember. I think this reap actually doesn't. So it doesn't matter what tier you have. You just want any reap. Curse effect is okay, but not really that great. Spell damage is decent. When it comes to slates, I have a fueling slate right here with a pedigree of the Gods. Fueling basically makes it so you ignore your enemy fire R. So that's why I don't have

pen in this setup. But if you don't have fueling, but you have something else, then you probably want pen instead of pain amplification. Or actually, you probably want it over fire explosion. Yeah, you definitely want it over fire explosion. Okay, other than that, you want plus two persistent level, very strong some movement speed reap CDR AOE. I just have a bunch of absolute garbage. If you can get this reap very strong, and then just more damage resistances. Yes, levels. Your passive tree is pretty straightforward. You're looking for damage skill effect duration energy Shield plus two levels, whatever you can grab. First talent is going to be wind walk. Just 25% more damage. Then you have subtle impact. 25% more damage that skills with blur effect. Very strong. After that, you immediately go into psychic. This is where you grab Affliction. Incredible just more damage repurification. If you didn't watch the intro, you definitely should. Otherwise, you won't understand the build. That's basically where you can start playing the build. You have a reap.

here in this tree, you have extra Affliction per second. Very strong additional damage to Cursed enemy, yada yada. You can look through it. I grab a little bit of AOE. If you want more, you can also grab more. And the third tree is definitely Elementalist. I want to make this clear. I know some people are saying warlock. Do not go Warlock 100%. Elementalist because of focused this gives you plus two Max Channel stacks and then 5% more damage for every plus one channel stack try to get for example plus one maximum channeling. I have this in my later setup, which I'm going to show you later. Plus one to maximum Channel. They're a little bit expensive, but they are just way too good. This is a crazy damage multiplier. Remember every channel stack gives you 20% more skill effect duration. And then as a second one, you take peculiar Vibe it. It doesn't really do much, but it there's not really much else we can do. And on this tree, you can get another

Plus One Max Channel stack another plus one fire skill a little bit movement speed, uh intelligence. Like I said, it's premium so yeah, as for skills in hindsight, I would probably replace on my path a Flames. I would replace the fire explosion for cataclysm support. I didn't really think about it at the time, but this is definitely something you want to do. So I can't really change the planner right now 'cause it's a snapshot, but if you're watching this, definitely do so. Guard supports very strong, pain amplification, Elemental fusion, and control spell. If you have control spell on your candle, which you're going to have later if you have a ton of money, then uh, you put affliction in here and probably fire pin whenever you don't have fueling anymore. Then you have Force start. This basically makes it so that every so often you just activate your energy Shield region and with defense layers for one second after you cannot be interrupted. So that's very strong. Uh, some extra stuff, preparation is basically everywhere to automate it.

is not something you have to do, but you can star stalker is a huge more damage multiplier. It's basically the button you press at the boss. La destruction is just your curse. That's all there is to it. You have terrain of malice. This activates frequently because it's basically like plas in pee, like an aura around you. And then you have blurry steps, which is basically all your movement speed, and you can run through enemies like phasing candle wise. At this stage, I basically fixed my movement speed 'cause I had like no movement speed on my boots. So it was like, Okay, just going to get some movement speed here, movement speed there, maybe a little bit of res later. You definitely want damage from there, but that's all I got for now for oras. I have Elemental amplification, deep pain, both more multipliers with as many supports as you can. You reserve Elemental amplification on your life, and this, and I think the rest on your Mana, yeah, the rest on your Mana, precise energy, Fortress energy, Fortress if you

can get the precise one ell res is very strong. Precise ell res is even better, but is quite expensive. I think I dropped mine. I can't remember, but either way very strong. Now I think the only thing that's left, yeah, only thing that's left are actually relics. So I have this one right here, which is not what you want to use in endgame. And I'm just going to say this right now because they actually got quite cheap now. Breath of exchange is ridiculous. It doubled my damage. I still don't know exactly how it works, but I think it just works really well with flames of Desire. Basically, this ping-pongs around your brand, but if it doesn't have a target, then it can't do that. It has to have two targets, so against single target, it's kind of bad. But what the thing here allows you to do is that you can receive the brand. So now I think what's happening is the brand ping-pongs between you and the enemy. So that's all I can think about somebody.

told me to try this out, and it does like double damage, and it's just fantastic. And it's not that expensive. Just so you aware that is the GG you can have as for the Memories. One important mod you need to have but only on one memory is the for every area percentage every Purgatory inflicts plus one brand. This is the difference between you clearing well and not well. And other than that, movement speed, skill effect duration, as much as you can damage to branded enemies, all pretty decent. Now next up, let's go over the Mana ster resc. I'll also link this down below, but this is the current setup that I have. So where do you go like at some point I think I maxed out at 50 billion damage with the old build, and now I'm at 1.4 trillion. How the hell did I get here? Obviously upgraded my gear, but the main thing here is I'm actually going Mana stacking. So what happens is you want to consume as much Mana as possible. How we

do that in a second, but our payoff is we get compensatory life. This gives us 6% spell damage for every 100 Mana consumed recently, up to 1,500, which is insane. A lot of Mana stickers are using this, super strong, but there's another layer to this. In this build in particular, 1% life region generation speed for every 100 Mana consumed recently. Usually, pretty much doesn't do anything 'cause you're going es, right? You can't really convert it, but on this build, it does something because we have Eternal Margar. So, percentage of the life regeneration speed is also applied to reaping cool down recovery. So, we're going to, I don't know, get, let's say, 300% life regen rate with the Mana we consume, and then this is going to convert it to like a reap cool down recovery, which if you don't know what that means, usually a reap cool down recovery rule at top roll is like 30%, so this, like, I don't know, times 5 * 6 St damage. All right, so this belt.

here wants us to consume an ungodly amount of mana, and so does this right here. How do we actually do that? Well, pretty straightforward, but I'll explain it right here. You need a full load pedigree. Full load is a mod that whenever you cast a skill, consumes 15% of your current Mana. This counts for every single tick of your path of flames, which will consume an enormous amount of meta. In order to counteract this Mana, we need a lot of help. Pretty easy to do. The first thing you need is sorcerer wristband. Note that it says restores 4% of Mana. That is your total Mana, not just your current Mana, which already makes it very strong and potent. It's not like 15 versus four. This actually counts for way more, so it's very strong, but you need a little bit more. So you need some more slate mods. The first one is restores 2% of missing Mana when costing a skill. This is very strong. You can only have it once Max Divinity effect once.

you want this one time in your build. Otherwise, build doesn't work. The second one is 9% cast speed restores 1% Mana when casting a skill. This is maximum Mana. It's just like the gloves, but with 1%. You need this. Otherwise, build will be a lot worse. And then do not ask why this is minus one skill cost for every 100 mod Mana lost. So I want to explain to you why this one is important. It seems counteractive, right? It's like how you want to consume Mana. Now you make your Mana cost less. This is, I don't know if it's a bug or anything like that, but just understand that the brands you are contributing and you're putting on everything can consume Mana. If you increase your Mana cost and with some of the stuff we have, we increase our Mana cost, which means that when you're in a pack of monsters, your Mana will drain. If you don't have this, if it works for you, I don't know what I did wrong. But once I put that mod on, all of a sudden it

magically worked again. So that's all you need to know. Those are the starting things you need, and your Mana is going to equal out at some point. The higher the point is where your Mana equals out, the better. Another really important part here is that the belt gives you Elemental amplification. You will see that in this build, I actually do not have that aura anymore. I now have swiftness, but I still want that, but I get it from the belt for free. You just have to make sure that you're not on low life, which means that if you go in here, you want to make sure that your life is higher than 35%. It's hard to see here, but it's 41.6% for me currently. Tired than 35 life, you get that aura for free. All right, so now you got the basics down, and you can balance your Mana, but if you don't have a lot of Mana pool, you're still not going to consume much, so you want to get Mana wherever you can cold breath super.

important add a percentage of your max mana's energy Shield gives you huge defensiveness and on top of that you basically want to get Max Max Mana wherever you can a nice mod here that you can get is uh spell damage for every Mana consumed recently this kind of the same mod as here it just gives you a little bit extra other than that get Mana where you can the most important Mana mod is this one right here this one gives you Mana per five intelligence it is quite hard to make you basically need to put your amulet right here to Patty I think it was you need to go dream interpretation you can put your amulet down here and if you have let's just put it right here actually I cannot do this whatever uh it's going to cost you 10 of a currency it's going to cost round about 80 to 100 Fe if you can hit that mod it will be ridiculous otherwise you just want maximum Mana wherever you can on all your gear percentage Max Mana

flat Mana. As you can see, my ones now look considerably different, so that is super important. Basically, if you have less than 4 to 5K Mana, you're doing something wrong. I currently only have 7.2k Mana. Another thing you can do if you want to is you can Respec out of Elementalist and go into, I think it was Archinist. Yeah, the problem with Archinist is mainly that it's a lot less damage, however, it gives you full load if you don't have to slate, and it will also give you a ton of Maximum Mana if you really want to. So, if you're completely new starting out, that's huge. Also, all the mods that are in slates that I told you to get are in this talentry, so you can kind of figure it out yourself if you want to, but you definitely want the slates for later, and you want to get your Mana elsewhere because Elementalist is insane. Also, do note that cast speed now actually matters because the faster you cast with the Path of Flames, the

more Mana you're going to consume, which means that stuff like in the Elementalist tree quick ritual 20% more cast speed for channel skills is insane. Same goes for any sort of cast speed you can get on the tree. These are very strong, and once again at this point you definitely want breath of exchange, which is the strongest Relic you can basically have. I guess I'll also quickly run a little bit of a test run right here. I'm currently farming goddess of the huntress. I'm going to make a video about this as well, but this is how it works. Now currently, actually map with eternity and very low Mana, but I will just show you without eternally how it looks like. So we go to the Clockwork stuff and yeah, we're just going to walk through. Basically you go in here, everything dies. Let me just check that everything is right. I think it should be. Yeah, okay. So we go around, you can see these explosions happening. Once again, if that's too much for you, you can always

go into options and turn it down and Notch right. But yeah, you're just going to walk around. Currently, I am pressing the blur stuff because I feel like I don't have full uptime on it. But yeah, so it is one of the most no-brainer builds and just completely fun to just map all day. If you want to make currency in this game, one of the most important things is you just have in a build that can completely destroy content and not have it to think about mechanics all the time. So we're just going to show you a boss. Like I said, this build has incredible single target damage as well, even on a god of the huntress, which we're going to face in a second, which could get really tanky. It really doesn't matter now. You don't see his HP going down because of the brand, but it just pops at some point. Now, one more thing. If you guys want to level this character, I will link to the maxal article. I basically used this one.

for one, I've never played this character before. Like I said, you level with Ground Shaker as kind of Melly. I would probably level until 60, and then once you have repurification. If you watch the video and you kind of know what's going on, you have some of the legendaries that I talked about that you target. You can start this build very early. I respected level 90, which was too late. The melee build already kind of fell off. So whatever you do, just try it out yourself. It is quite hard to explain. This game is not easy in end game whatsoever. It seems very easy at the start, but then it ramps up quite significantly. But if you follow this, you should be fine up until like level 60, 70, and 80. Okay, but that's about it. Overall, this has been by far the best league starter I've ever had in this game. The build is ridiculous. It's not made by me. This has been played before. I don't want to claim anything as well as that.

Miv actually gave me the idea. One of my chatters gave me the idea to go Eternal martyr with compensatory life. So big shout out to him as well. But in general, this build is just an absolute machine. And if you're following the instructions in this video, you're going to do fine as well. Yeah, that's all I got to say.
