hey there everybody welcome back to another video. This is new and welcome back to the Box meta in 3.25. Who saw this coming? It's been a long time since I've talked about strong box Ambush and indeed monstrous Treasure of all things. And that's what we're going to be talking about. I'm so excited to be able to talk about monstrous treasure. It is the mechanic that hooked me into Path of Exile and game juicing in the first place way back in 3.14, 3.15. Totally different state of game, didn't even have an Alis passive tree. There are a few different reasons why monsters treasure has fallen out of favor until recently, I guess. But anyway, this league, I mean, the state of the game's been really up and down. I feel like the group players had the worst experience in terms of raw loot drops that they've had since Sentinel league in the Beyond Nerf where everybody just threw their hands up the air was like, where, where's the lud at? We

don't know where the lud is, so a lot of players, especially solo, have been focusing on t set rewards, things like simulacrum Legion League specific rewards, and things like sanctum, as well as the league mechanic itself, which does seem to be helping keep a lot of players focused on building a shipyard and do all that sort of thing. But as far as the end game is concerned, been in a very precarious state. I've noticed that players like Kobe blackmamba has been focusing quite a bit on ambush this past week. Fub gun has started focusing on ambush, and I have in two offre stream been doing a bit of t17 ambush myself, primarily looking at 8 mod corrupted map farming because I needed to personally farm 100 8 corrup jungle Valley maps to do a chaula breach farm, which I'm in the middle of recording on stream right now. So I wanted to pause that, come out with this video to alert you guys that indeed a new meta seem to be emerging that has

a integral Focus around strongbox t17 farming that is not about tile set rewards and not so much about raw loot. It is kind of a blend on these you know these tried and true strats that are never really been at the very very top end of farming but are known to be pretty solid when we endure a really nasty poverty League. These seem to be elevated in status so what I'm talking about for example is things like strong box loot. You guys recall operative strong boxes used to be a decent farming Strat at League start back in the day. It would kind of fall out of favor because you could start juicing the map up more and get raw loot that way. Well in a league like this with t7s increasing some of the loot in variety of ways, it looks like the contents of strong boxes themselves is a great way to make currency. This like not just a decent way but a great way to and of course they still come accompanied by spawning a bunch of monsters that can drop scarabs.

and currency, and maps, and different things like that. So today, I'm going to bring you a kind of preliminary minmaxed four variations of a core strategy that focuses on ambush, and more poignantly, monstrous treasure. With this Scarab right here, I'm going to show all four different atlases that'll be linked down below, and you can skip the timestamps to see me talk about those specific strats. I'll feature a little bit of footage. I'm not going to make it too long, and you'll get to see the loot that I get out of each individual map. You can get some sense of what it's like. Okay, so you don't have to do Ambush Scab of Containment, which is a monstrous treasure Scarab. You can just do Ambush Scar, but see, in my opinion, well, the main reason monster treasure has fallen out of favor is because it takes all the monsters down the map, including Eldritch minion spawns, which is unfortunately a driving force to juicing Maps. Now, with all the player-side upside quantity

Rarity duped divination scarabs, what have you, that has made eldrich minion spawning Alters at the forefront of juicing with the exception of last League, maybe Back to Basics. This Scarab kind of removes virtually all of them. It's a little bit weird or buggy that it doesn't seem to remove technically all of them. It's very rare to spawn an eldrich minion alter in a monstrous treasure map. Also, with the changes to sexon and Scarab slots and different things over the time, we've, well, until very recently, we've had the options to get a lot of different mechanics loaded into the map. The atlas is very powerful with like seven to eight different notables for each individual mechanic except for strong box. When the atlas passive tree came out, it definitely de-elevated strong box into a lower tier status mechanic because you could just gain so much power through the atlas in different ways, but this league is definitely making a comeback. So, I'm going to be going with monster.

treasure because we have other new scarabs also that are quite powerful that kind of compete with just going say triple Ambush Scarab for example all right. So the second Scarab in here that I'm choosing is Ambush Scarab of discernment and this is going to primarily be for spawning way more Arcanist divver strong boxes and cartographer strong boxes to a lesser extent. This is a powerful impact and you would expect it to not do much based on this vague wording but no indeed it really does transform a large a significant portion of your strong boxes into those higher quality strong boxes for divers focusing on divination cards or arcanas focusing on currencies or cartographers maybe cartographer is still very rare. However, I will say maybe it doesn't affect that one on second thought but still very impactful. And where a lot of the loot comes from then we also have Ambush Scarab of potency. Now this is a Scarab I've never used before until recently off stream. 75% increased effect of

explicit modifiers on strong boxes is quite powerful. The modifiers themselves are baked into the rare corrupted strong boxes that we force through the Atlas. We don't have to roll the strong boxes at all, and they're going to increase the contents inside the strong boxes pretty dramatically. They're going to increase the number of rare monsters that spawn from there. Sometimes, they're going to increase the number of magic packs that spawn from there. Quite impactful, I would say. And if you're already spawning a ton of strong boxes on you get added value out of this one and this one for that matter. Now these are core to all the different strats here, but depending on what I'm farming next, you know, probably just going to with Ambush Scarab of hidden compartments, which has a value of at least five strong boxes, which is at least the value of an ambush. So this is going to be a very good choice generically. However, for farming Maps, which is the first one going show you, I'm going to need two.

flexible Scarab slots to do that efficiently, and then for the others, you know, we got Ambush scarabs, and we got divination Scarab. In this case of pilfering, which is the only good divination Scarab right now, and its value has been Topsy Turvy recently. So we also have new chisels that represent different Str depending on what the focus is, and you can just forgo all of that if you want and go for cartographer Chis in general. However, I will say in the event that you're farming Maps, you're probably going to want to roll a map that has much more maps multiplier. Now G did not eliminate or remove these, much to many people's dismay. You kind of need to focus on not only reg exing the map so you can do it but also on whatever you're Target farming. The good news is this Strat can blend all four at once, which means you can roll maps, not focus terribly on the more multipliers, and just feed it into whatever pile you

want and then roll them all at once with a particular Atlas, which is something I'm planning to do. I foresee myself doing that a lot in the near future, and I may or may not be focusing on these chisels because if you do one chisel, it kind of hurts the others. However, if you do a generic cartographer chisel, it will positively impact all of them. But some of them are quite powerful. Increased pack size can be pretty good, more Scarab multiplier, and more currency multipliers probably not as good because it's additive. The other more multipliers that get rolled on the map, one that is very good, however, is the more divination multiplier because Maps cannot roll with a more divination multiplier. That one is missing from the list for whatever reason, so this is indeed its own separate fully chiseled 100% more divination cards. Combine this with doubling divination cards, and then combine this with doubling the Divination cards that dropped from diviner strong boxes. You can see a lot

of synergies going there whether you're Target farming apothecaries or not. Now, divination carb farming is in perhaps the weakest state it's ever been in, or at least in recent memory. Obviously way weaker than last League, uh, so it's less obvious which one of these is necessarily the best, but they're certainly all four viable depending on your goal, uh. Certainly, the one target farming eight mod maps is going to be the a much more focused strat, and why would you want to do that? Well, maybe you want to stick to farming t16s or blending the strat, or maybe you want to send your mappers in your league Shipyard a bunch of t16 8 mod corrupted defile Cathedrals. That might not be a bad strat. I don't know, that's not something I've looked into too much, but just going to throw that out there. That might be a pretty good idea, but at any rate, I'm going to be using these specialized chisels to attempt to min

max each one individually, and I'm going to have timestamps down below that represent the different times for farming these Maps. We're going to show you the Atlas, I'm going to do a map, we give you some footage, and going to skip through and cut some of it, and then I'll show you the loot at the end of each one, and we'll wrap it up from there. All right, so this is the Atlas for the Cartographer Farm. One thing you're going to notice is no Eldritch Minion Focus. I'm not even doing Eerie of World or nothing because they almost never spawn with Mar's Treasure. This has the added benefit of being able to put a whole bunch of passive points somewhere else, effectively allowed me to unlock both maps and Beyond while still focusing on strong blocks as well as Scar in the back end. Scarab, don't sleep on Scarabs. Scarabs are still good, whether they drop on the map, whether they uh, whether you have a more multiplier or not, could go more on the Quant wheel and stuff, but

the only thing I'm not Target farming here is uniques. And if I was wearing magic fine gear, maybe I would. However, magic fine gear and the glittering Scarab does not impact the drops from inside the strong boxes themselves. So keep in mind, this is actually tailored better toward a non-magic find strategy. As a matter of fact, all right. So you can see the map nodes are here because I want to drop as many Maps as possible. I think this has no impact if I choose Ambush on the map device, which I will be. And then, yeah, we're going to duplicate all this stuff here anyway, as well as cartographer strong box playing integral role if it spawns, hopefully it does, and get a whole bunch of extra maps that way. Going to block some things focusing a little bit on premium scarabs. We'll see what the maps look like. The results are it has 100% chance to spawn be beond. It will already have 20% Deli, which is a new addition this league. Not having to focus on Deli. It cannot

spawn the Beyond boss so that's going to be a lot of added Beyond and each strong box op. Strong box spawns Beyond very well. Beyond Cannot drop Maps very efficiently though. It does technically, but it's very inefficient. Beyond is still very good though just in general for a monsters treasure farm for sure. A lot of other mechanics will get in the way of monsters treasure and will even not not spawn technically. Another reason why Monster's treasure is particularly good now with t17 maps. They are bigger layouts. The map can fit a variety of mechanics on top of monster treasure where couldn't do that before. So that is also another reason probably the fourth or fifth reason I've mentioned now why monsters treasure seems to be making a comeback here. All right, so first map I got a nice map rolled it fits my regex 100% more maps. I think I have 100% or more rolled for each one that's being focused on here and again all this stuff will be linked in the description of the video for you. You can uh pick one take it to.

your liking. Oh yeah, I don't actually need that. That was just there for show. Uh, I did also try imbued Ambush, but I didn't notice it there. There's 100% increased chance for Unique strong box. Really has almost no impact, so uh, to lose a Scarab slot for that not worth it, I think. Overall, we still get three additional strong boxes this way, and you know, there's obviously an opportunity to focus on something else if you wanted to. But you know they should spawn because the maps are big. Still technically going to throw on either of Worlds here. I mean just so unlikely to see an ELD shelter. It will be very, very lucky. So again, if you don't want to do if you don't want to do monsters treasure and you want to focus more on the eldrich minions, you're going to lose a lot of strong boxes. Even if you throw a bunch of Ambush scarabs on, you're either going to lose scarabs or or you're going to lose you're going to

lose something in return, but certainly a little bit of flexibility at hand here. All right, first map, you already see boxes are spawn here. I don't need to worry about rushing the boss. It's not the Divine pilfering Strat, so you know, doesn't really matter on that. So I'm just going to open the boxes right away. I am wearing a head hunter with Strat, and yes, being a bow build in here. Now, if you're lightning strike, you can probably handle this Strat a lot better. I think lightning strike would be very good for this Strat in particular. Killing the boss will be easy. Does it need to be the Fortress map? No, but you don't want to be on some super type map. The problem with things like Abomination, those maps have aisleways where the boxes will spawn. So in such compact zones, wow, look at that, that's nice, that you won't be able to spawn all the monsters. This is a major issue we've had in the past with even like defile Cathedral and uh, Crimson.

Temple. Oh my god. Well, I actually hit that, okay. Very rare to see that, by all means, if you want to spec into the eldritch minions, you can, but there's just not that many minions at spawn, I'm afraid. Okay, so the map is now done, successfully cleared it all, and I have highlighted the defile Cathedral Maps here, got a total of 19. Now, there's a lot of other loot as well, but 198 mod corrupted defile Cathedral Maps is not bad. It's actually a little worse than normal. I'm projecting it's an average of around 25, at least when I use a regular chisel, and maybe that is a better bet. I did not see a single cartographer strong box. In fact, I didn't notice a single map drop out of a strong box itself. Usually, they come from the minions, which is why I favored the pack size chisel in this case over the other option, but got a lucky reality fragment even off the Fortress boss, and exalted orb, and a few different

divination cards that aren't really worth much. Some eldritch currencies, uh, not a terrible showing and definitely made fair bit of currency there. Every single one of these maps is going to be an investment cost of around, uh, two to three divines, but certainly came out ahead on that one. So we'll move on to the next. All right, next up is a map focusing on scarabs, chisel of scarabs. Now I just want to reiterate this is an additive more multiplier with the more multiplier that already exist when you roll the map a certain way. So this map naturally had 140% more scarabs. Now it has 240% more scarabs. Okay. And so scarabs is going to be the major focus. I'm going to be going with the flex slot of five additional strong boxes, which should be able to spawn on these giant tier 17 maps. Fortress again, same scarabs as before. Now we're introducing Ambush Scarab of hidden compartments going from 16 to 15% chance for the strong box to be open.

again as well as five additional strong boxes. The Atlas used will be a little bit different, more focus on Scarab now. Now it's not Back to Basics where I can get literally 100% more points in scarabs. I suppose I could, you know, if I dropped, uh, let's say beyond, for example, if I Dro something else kind of serious, but I feel like this is a nice compromise here, having this, still getting a lot of the really good scarabs focused here. I would like to block some of these mechanics with some of the bad scarabs perhaps, but just I just feel like I can't really quite get over there to justify it. Don't necessarily need singular Focus, could get a couple points back, and this is technically missing one point 'cause I haven't done the fear yet, but a pretty solid Atlas to focus on scarabs while still prioritizing divination cards and raw currency from the AR Arcanist and diviner strong boxes when they happen to spawn. I suppose a lot of you would be

interested to see what the loot looks like in here. Going to be the exact same setup with the Krick bench. All right, so let's see what happens here. Okay, B's box from a monster. Interesting, kind of rare. Oh, I got to be a little careful for. All right, guys, this is the result from the Scarab map. You can see I got scarabs highlighted. That's a lot of scarabs. Most of these are junk, to be fair. The best one that I found was Essence Scarab of calcification, about 60 chaos or so in there. A lot of Ambush scarabs, Essence scarabs, and it turned out all right. I actually got quite lucky with divination cards this time, finding four fortunate cards and a couple of chosen cards, which are each worth a little bit extra. Yeah, Nemesis Scarab in there too. A lot of currencies too. No Divine orbs, couple of exalts again, but a valdo's box and just a lot more looting in general for sure. Now then, we move on to the currency.

Farm currency Focus, which is once again going to be the exact same scarabs as the Scarab one, with Maven's Chisel of Avarest increasing the currency with a 100% more multiplier, which is again additive with the amount rolled on the map. So, that was 109% more currency, which is now 209% more currency. Pretty good number. Might be a bit of a hard map with minus Max res, but I think I can handle it. And we'll put this away as far as the atlas is concerned. Once again, changed a bit, moved some points out of scarabs. Okay, I think I deleted this entire wheel here. You know, this Atlas is going to be very similar to the Divination Focus Atlas because Arcanist and Diviner is kind going to spawn at the same rate anyway. Kind of really focusing on those two things. Of course, I'm going to be taking these two notables. Still going to put spare points that I have in here, and especially based on my experience in the last couple Maps, both of which I saw.

alter spawn I think it's a good, especially these two last two are going to be a good opportunity to go ahead and put points back into the alrich. AL for Spong chance I suppose. I'm missing a couple points here, which may be, uh, not so good, but anyway, pretty nice. Atlas still focusing on Scarab, this is much more well-rounded, I think this Atlas would work well for the Scarab one anyway, uh, but certainly, um, the last three maps are going to have a more well-rounded Atlas still focusing on the loot from strongbox, Arcanist divers, and scarabs more broadly speaking. Major point of note here is pale Clarion, which is going to synergize, I believe, with the more currency multiplier, and then for the Divination one, we'll slide those two points over here, basically be the only difference, I think. Okay, here we go, map in Ambush once again, eer of world, and I will need to concern myself a little bit with the alters and the downsides can make the map pretty tough.

now, in this case, I probably should focus on rushing the boss in case I get Alters to spawn. Oh, look at that, we got a decent Ambush scab, not the good one but decent. 75 Head Hunter Buffs, bro, going crazy. I think I'm just going to go straight to the boss with this kind of power. Oh no, I thought it'd be right here, around the other side. A Dragon Fang H. I don't think those are very popular these days. Okay, another discernment Scarab. I like how I'm getting no, am I getting any Alrich minions, making me question. Okay, third map is done. That was a currency Focus map, and I got to say out of the three so far, I felt quite unfortunate with the results. On this one, we have currency here. You can see there's, I believe, 43 chaos orbs. The fact I did this map here and didn't get a single exalt or Divine is quite surprising. However, I did actually get a one div Dragon Fang that's, I don't think

that's taking into account the reservation efficiency role. As a matter of fact, hold on a second. Oh, this is a one or two div Dragon thing. Also, got Asenath's Gentle Touch, so I'm not target farming uniques here in particular, but they do drop. And so, you know, again, this is a blended farm. All kinds of different things are going to drop. Sometimes you're targeting currency and going to drop something else instead, which is why maybe the generic chisel might be best after all. But anyway, that's what we have here. A lot of scarabs again, but, yeah, I without this Dragon thing, I probably lost currency there on that particular map. RNG is unfavorable sometimes, so that's how it goes. Okay, guys, here it is. The fourth and final map focusing on divination card drops, prioritizing the diviner strong box. This is going to be perhaps the most riskiest of them all because I am paying a little bit extra for this pilfering Scarab, and then I'm, you know, not getting any equality on the map, but just

focusing on divination cards, there is a somewhat decent potential that I'm just going to get completely skunked here and not get a single div strong box. But with the Ambush Scarab of discernment, the chance is much higher. So you can see the lovely 100% more divination card multiplier there. And I'm of the opinion that this chisel is the most effective one of all the maving chisels. It just so happens that it's cheap because people aren't really thinking about using it for t7 farming for divination cards. Because you can't scry the map and you can't Target Farm the card you want. It's effectively just like dropping tons of Stack decks in the map. But look, I mean, we're going to get 100% four divination cards. And we're going to duplicate those cards as well. T7s will drop more cards in general. So all I really need, you know, fingers crossed, is some of those divers strong boxes. And you know, anything.

everything can possibly drop out of those. All right, so let's get it started. Same for Scarab, just switching out the pilfering Ambush. Still chose, and almost forgot the atlas is exactly the same as the currency one, except I moved these two points out of here and put them into swarming Hive. So I do want the Beyond to drop me some divination cards if possible. They will be Maps specific though. I believe the cheater drops naturally on this map, very very low waiting though. Here we go. H, wow, I got my pilfering scare back. Okay. Oh wow, unique strong box. I don't believe it. Not a very good one. I got volatile cores on this map. This is going to be ugly. I don't know if they nerfed the damage on these. I'd be curious to know. Still no diviner strong box, but hey, a duplicated Valdo's puzzle box. Not focusing on currencies. Cool. Okay, now I need to make sure that I can kill the map boss. It's going to be harder than normal. I got to time it.

right and the Head Hunter Buffs are hopefully going to carry me. Really only going to get, I mean, you know, with a lightning strike Slayer or whatever, maybe going have a lot easier time with this particular Strat. It's more high risk for me. I'm not sure if I can kill. I can probably still kill the fortunate boss even without Head Hunter, a fortunate the foress boss without Head Hunter Buffs. Yeah, I think volatile core is probably going to be more scary than phobia, to be honest. Four dragon hearts. Wow, there it is. That is the loot from the map. Now I got totally skunked. I didn't get a single div strong box, not even one. I'm pretty sure if I go back through the footage, I got multiple in the three previous Maps, so I don't know what to say about that. But the funny thing is dragon's heart is an actual card on there, and it is somewhat valuable. I'd say I made my just about made my currency back, given that this card dropped. Pretty lucky dro the.

waiting's not very low or not very high, rather, but that got me thinking. That the other Maps do have some specific cards. We have the enlightened card on the sanctuary, which would be a better bet than Fortress for this Farm, I suspect. Right now, value-wise, probably Abomination is the best because it has the nurse card and the artist, which is still evidently worth a bit. That card's not even all that rare, if I'm not mistaken. So, while I don't like the idea of doing monsters treasure on Abomination, I haven't technically tested it, so maybe it does work fine. If it can fit all the strong boxes in, great. It'd be good. Uh, the boss is going to be really hard though, but you know, just on a technicality right now, probably Abomination is the best map to do this. I would not want to kill the boss on Abomination though, so maybe this strats a little bit out of my reach, but for you, who knows. So, I did get pretty lucky on this map considering dup bdo's puzzle.

box and got my divination Scarab back, and got a whole bunch of loot. I mean, just wild. But here's the Divination card that I did get. And you know the void natur drops in this map, so we saw a lot of that. Anyway, you got to see the boss kill. You can imagine that being much more explosive when I get multiple diviners strong boxes in the maps because it's going to effectively quadruple the Divination card to come out of diviner strong boxes. All right, guys, that's it for this little quick update on the meta. Changing Winds with the meta. I really do think Ambush, either straight up Ambush or strong box with monstrous treasure, will be the go. I got a little bit of Loof on the Elder minion alter spawns if those can spawn somewhat reliably in the t7 maps because they're so big. Because even The Aldrich minions can fit in the map here and there, that's certainly going to be better than traditional Ambush because that is the

one thing that's holding monster's treasure back not getting Eldritch Alters on the maps but guys let me know what you think. Which variation is your favorite, or do you think the best is the fifth? And the fifth variation that didn't run, which is just a regular uh chisel and maybe, you know, 25 to 50% more everything randomly. But anyway, that's it for me on here.
