We got a flat tire. It's all right, though; we'll figure something out. Good morning from Jeongeup,

we're going to get today started with some Korean traditional herbal tea. And so I was looking on the map,

trying to find things to do in this town, and this is one of them. So this whole street,

I was reading, was the old downtown of this, uh, of this county, and it's famous for the traditional tea.

And so I've had this once in Gyodong at the beginning of my trip,

when Chang took me to that, uh, North Korean little island where a lot of old North Koreans live,

and I've had it there, haven't had it since, and I know Nick hasn't had it yet. Oh, look at that,

and so it's crazy, it's supposed to have 20 different herbs and spices,

and all, you know, guessing all this right here. And so, yeah, yesterday in the market when we were walking through, you saw some of this stuff,

Yeah, yeah, it's the same stuff. Yeah, okay, that's what it's, um, used for them.

But it's a lovely little street here, a lot of little cafes, a lot of flowers, and it's beautifully done,

but I think we're going to go and try to try something like this for breakfast. I'm guessing any one of them is good.

Yeah, they all kind of look like they still have the same... yeah, they all kind of have the same look to them.

And there's people in here, too. Smells like Christmas in here; smells like cinnamon and all the herbs.

And so there's the green tea, and there's the date tea, and the traditional double flower tea.

Ooh, yogurt and yogurt. Oh, perfect! So you don't just get the tea. That's nice. Tea, one spoon,

uh, yogurt, one. Okay. Nice, nice. These look like marshmallows, but very... this is still so hot. Yeah.

Rice, little fried rice, mochi, kind of. What they call 'tteok' here. Tteok. Kind of has a similar flavor to it.

High-quality rice cracker right here. It's almost like a soup; it's like a soup, yours is thick. Yeah, yeah.

This is not what I would think of about tea. This one over here maybe... this does remind me of something I'd have at Christmas. Absolutely! It's like sweet cinnamon.

Not as many uh, nuts and seeds in there. That one has all the seeds. I think that's a chestnut as well. There are chestnuts in there. Yeah, it's good. Everything, yeah.

It does, it tastes like something that would be very healthy for you. You know, it's it's medicine for breakfast. For real! It's like Christmas flavor.

I wonder if it's one of those things like it's recommended to eat this once a week. Surely not daily, I wouldn't think. Over here. All right, so the owner just

dropped off some apple jujubes, some apple dates, I guess is what they're called.

These are apples. Yeah, like baby apples. I have that kind of crunch to them. They look kind of like crab apples you you get in other countries.

Yeah, that's nice. I like the crunch. Pretty sweet. Well, I have a little bit of sweetness to them.

Yeah, it's just not the season anymore. It's not the blistering hot summer. This is crazy. Sometimes I don't feel comfortable on roads like this

All right, so today we have decided to kind of shoot back towards the coast, towards the

the West Coast. It looks like there are some small islands sprinkled out along the coast there that maybe we could cycle to; some bridges over the ocean,

so that's kind of where we're aiming. It's only like 40-50 km away, mostly flat, but

today called for rain, but luckily we haven't had any yet. The roads are kind of wet,

so maybe it rained a little bit this morning and hopefully it's over. But yeah, no bike routes around here; there's local roads, a lot of farmland,

a lot of villages, which is nice. Freshly harvested – look at that! Probably cut just a few days ago. No more rice. Mhm, I've got a little bit left here, right to our right.

And back behind us it was pretty dark. I think it's coming right for us. So go...

Man, that was the straightest road I think I've ever been on in Korea. And right when we get to Gunsan, Nick is like, "Stop, stop! Something's not right!"

We got a flat tire. Awesome. Anything sticking out? Nothing obvious. No, okay. Maybe 10–15 minutes. Got it taken care of.

Uh, the bike shot... No, I'm talking about this whole ordeal. Yeah, yeah. We're taking shelter right now at a GS25.

The storm is officially blown in: lightning, thunder, wind. Not looking good, so we're going to have a pizza

and chill out for a little bit. Hopefully it blows over. Hey, yeah, after you. All right.

Like a $5–$6 pizza here. It's nothing special, but it'll do the job.

Yeah, just a good thing that we're not on that 13 km stretch on that bridge from island to island, just blowing in. Oh, man.

That would have sucked. Even though we did get rained out pretty good today, still... So we've made it to Gunsan, but we really haven't.
