Like in the formula H₂O, the '2' denotes two hydrogen atoms in a water molecule. My question is, is it *haram* to write the number in the base of an alphabet like that, which we call a subscript?

Why would it be *shirk*? Can I ask, uh, Sheikh? I don't know. In some cases, in some simple cases, I feel, is it *haram* or not? And I get confused and I feel a fear in my heart that if it is *shirk*, then how... what is the meaning of *shirk*? What is meant by *shirk*? Associating partners with Allah?

Okay, so when you mix uh, this with that, where is the *shirk*? No, uh, is it *shirk* to write, uh, you know, a letter in the base of the alphabet like that? H₂O, the '2' is in the base of the letter H. Is it *shirk* because I sometimes feel that am I worshipping the letter H? Then I feel, is it *shirk*? What, where is the *shirk* in pronouncing 'hydrogen'? Whether it's two or three or ten, where is the *shirk* in saying 'hydrogen two'? No, writing the '2' in the base of the letter H. Is it *shirk*?
