fact number one: gold quantity scales based on item rarity. This means the more item rarity you have on your gear, on your maps, or on the monsters that you are killing, the more gold you are going to get. GGG removed quantity scaling with this update, and it would, you know, make sense that item quantity would scale with gold quantity if it continued to exist in the game, but it really doesn't, especially so. Instead of using that vector to increase the amount of gold that you were getting, you can use item rarity to do so. So that means running the maps with the highest possible item rarity, that means increasing the explicit modifier magnitudes on those maps, it means running items like those shown on screen right now that increase item rarity and the like. The more item rarity you seem to have, the more gold you were going to get. Big credit to Captain Lance who seemed to be the one that initially broke this idea on YouTube. fact number two: gold can replace

basically all item drops so when grinding your games added gold to Poe. With this expansion, they replaced lots of other drops that used to be items with gold. And that can also go for items that are supposed to drop with a 100% chance in maps. Is this a good thing? Is this a bad thing? People still don't quite know. We don't know how this scales. For example, what if an apothecary was supposed to drop? Is that meaning that you're going to get a massive stack of gold, or you just going to get a random stack of gold compared to say a rain of chaos dropping instead. This isn't known yet. We're still working on it, but we do know that gold is replacing normal item drops. And that might also be why Maps feel a little bit scarcer compared to before because now you're getting gold that's instantly picked up. Whereas before, it would be a ton of items sitting on the ground that you would have to be walking over or manually picking up. I would like to stress here

of the seven facts this is the most experimental and theoretical right now. We don't know exactly how gold is converted from various items and which exact items convert, but we do know items and Equipment drops are being converted to Gold. Fact number three: you cannot find gold in the Forbidden sanctum. The sanctum is the best place to generate currency in the game right now. You can find Divine orbs, glass blowers, baubles, mirrors of colandra, and the like from The Forbidden sanctum, but you cannot find gold. To fund Kings March, we don't know if this will continue in 3.26 if gold is added to the core game, but for now, it seems like they've siphoned off the Forbidden sanctum to just be a currency generation system. Fact number four: the best place currently to get gold is tier 17 maps. The second best is tier 16s. So of course t7s being the Pinnacle content in the game, they are the best way to get gold, right behind that rare boss that spawns.

believe his name is the Black Knight. He drops tens of thousands of gold as well, but he spawns very rarely, and there's no way to force him. So in t7s, that's your next best bet if you are using item Rarity as described before. Wearing item Rarity gear, making sure you're getting the best modifiers for item Rarity, you can get upwards of 880,000, maybe even 100,000 plus gold in a single t7 map, running it in between 3 and 5 minutes. That is a massive amount of gold generation. Now in t16s, you're not going to get that amount, but you are going to get substantially more than other maps and other areas in the game. We'll talk about it momentarily, but some League mechanics are far worse than others. Of course, sanctum is the worst, as we just said, no gold. Heist also isn't great. Delve isn't great. Maybe it's better as you get deeper, but right now it's not in a good place. Fact number five, the fin

final tier of mining gives you gold based on how much you are mining from each node. This is something that if you're struggling with gold, you will want to rush to upgrade and get to that final tier of mining. I believe it is tier 10 or 11. It's escaping my mind right now, apologies everyone. It's 10 or 11. And it essentially, if you have a node, let's say of crimson ore that's 500 in value, you will get 500 gold from that particular node. That might not seem like a lot, but eventually it adds up over time if you're doing multiples of these nodes per map or just doing them in every single map that you encounter. It does build up. Fact number six, this is more of a saving thing to do with gold worker gold wages in Kings March have huge ranges. You need to roll to make sure you are getting the best possible worker pay values. You want to minimize the amount you are paying your workers and maximize their amount of output. So you want the highest tier workers.

possible which I believe is 10 or 11. Once again, escaping my mind because I am a total idiot. Exile, this is the most important optimization step when it comes to maxing out your town. You're probably going to spend millions of gold in rerolls, but it's worth it at the end of the day if you plan on playing for a great length of time in Kings March. You want to make sure you're not paying your workers 150,000 gold per hour. You want to make sure that range is down to 60,000 or 70,000. You are able to do this with maxed out workers if you find the perfect roll ranges for wages. In fact, number seven, certain leagues rock for gold drops. Essentially anything that adds monsters to the map itself. Real packs, not fake packs like Abyss, is great for gold farming. I'm talking stuff like Expedition shrines, ritual. Don't do the rituals, just kill the monsters around the ritual. And of course, everyone's favorite for farming strategies, strong.

boxes. An honorable mention goes to Harvest, which is also pretty decent. However, it does take a long time to clear all the monsters in the various crops. Personally, I'm doing Harvest, and it's working out very well. I'm also doing shrines, and I'm going to spec into Expedition. I'm sure there will be more to come based on everything that we found out in the past week in PoE 3.25 Settlers of Calgar. When it comes to gold, and of course, if it's added to the core game in 3.26, all of this is subject to change.
