oh the devil oh you what T for that I'm telling you flipping it or Anthony Joshua Ray cross hey what a fight that was e and gar got sparked right out now I'm recording this on the day after the Saturday after the fight so I don't know when this recording is going to go out when I'm going to release it but I'm recording it the day after and I'm still a bit hyped oh anyway so what have I got what have I got today right I've got for the audio Z3 yes the Z3 now here's the thing when these came out I think it was back in December just before Christmas I think it was just time for Christmas so everybody bought them everybody who anyone was Shilling these amps when it came out on the day it was the first week everybody had one of these to to release a video and Faria told them you can't you can't do a video on it until they released but here's the thing guess who didn't get sent

[Music] One, I don't know why uh Fuzzy was Fuzzy have always sent me stuff in the past, but it appears that they have ghosted me. Uh, at the moment, I don't know why. Maybe they don't like the way I present myself. Maybe they don't like the punches. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because I do sound tests and it's comparing the Rams to other Rams. And in some tests, they didn't sound that much better. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's am I too honest. Don't know, but they completely ghosted me. And uh, I didn't get sent one of these arms. So I thought I want to have a listen to them. I want to try them out. I'm not going to go into massive detail into them 'cause there is literally shed loads of flipping shed loads of shilling going on. Have a look at this shilling. This is the Fio Za3. And it is great Za3, the Fuzzy Audio Za A3. If you're looking for

amazing sounding amplifier regardless of the cost. Here's the answer. This is a Fuzzy ZA for the Audio ZA3M. So jumping right into the ZA3. This is the ZA3. So you don't need me to explain the ins and outs of this amp. I'm going to go through a little bit of it, but I just want to see how good it is and is it worth buying. Okay, anyway, let's get this sucker out of the box. Right, what we got in here? Okay, here we've got, um, what are these again though? These are the instructions. There you go, instructions. Things I never read, which I should. Uh, we got the power supply. Now, I think on Amazon in the UK, they're selling the 48 volt. I believe this is. Look at the size of this flipping thing. It says the 48. Where is it? 48 volt, 5 amp. There. Don't know if you can see it. Alright, we'll have a look at the specs later. We go through how much power I'm going to get through that into 8

ohms and 4 Ohms. And then we got the amp itself, a little bit of cardboard oh see you don't get that another RS to you hey look at that CH and um I mean oh I mean look it's a nice looking amp you know for one of these budget amps it's not so budget anymore is it. This is 150 quid this one uh. So on the front you got your different input uh switches there you got you can switch to XLR or RCA uh then you got your mono or stereo which is easier I think to have that little switch on the front but here's the thing it's very easy for little hands to come up and flick that to stereo when it's in mono mode so potentially would it might have been better if it was on the back back or underneath to avoid little fingers you know other people or just curious adults what's that then oh look at that J me it's flick at the stereo when it's in monom mode but there we are and I think

that's on off. You press that, and that's the volume on the back. We got the XLR balanced inputs, unbalanced RCAs. Got a sub out. I think that's variable as well from what I've seen with the other reviews. Now here's the odd thing. Right now, they've made a very decent amp, spent a lot of money on the, you know, look on the casing, on the, on the gbin, and the components inside. Why do they put these crappy flipping, uh, speaker binding posts on these little tiny ones? They do the job, right, but they're a bit na in they, uh. And then you got, uh, what's that? That's your power in there. Oh, you got a 12-volt trigger. I had to read that. So obviously, if you can get up with something else with a 12-volt trigger, it'll switch that on and off. That's pretty handy considering this hasn't got a remote. So if you got a 12-volt trigger on something else, is it something else to go with this or are

they're coming up with something else to go with this. It's got a 12V trigger they can go into that. They'll have a remote and a standby button, and they'll put this at the standby. We have to wait and see, I suppose, right? So there we are. Now, normally I would take these apart and have a little look inside, but there's so many videos out there that are taking them apart and I'm look little look. And also, also, you know, I didn't, I had to buy these off Amazon, so I'm sending them straight back. T, but should have sent me one for free, shouldn't they, right? So I'm going to send them back. I go on the fam as it is. I don't need any more, right? Um, but here's the thing. So if you want to have these set up in monomode, you're going to have to buy two of them, obviously, right? That's 300 quid with a 48V power supply on Amazon and UK. That's 300 bucks.

man, okay, you're getting into integrated amp territory now, and you okay, not the best integrated, but you're getting there, all right, uh. And for example, look at this Rotel ar1. I bought this in very good condition, decent little amp, right. Now, I know it may not suit everybody's setup because of the size of it. If you're going to put it on a desktop situation, it maybe it's not for you, you. But I just want to give you an example. So you got the Rotel Roo one. Cost me 80 quid, right, uh. It's got AB speakers, it's got bass and travel control, tone controls. You can defeat the tone control, you can have direct mode. You got balance, you got multiple inputs, okay. So already you're getting a, uh, more bang for your buck here than two with these. So it's something to think about, isn't it. And also, okay, if you want to think of something new in the UK at the moment, the um Mor PM 607 is going for about 380 quid. That's a bargain for that amp.

decent amp. Don't forget this Yamaha AS301 as well. Now, I was going to say AS51, but they banged the price of that massively. Uh, now I know only a year or so back that amp was going for around about 380 quid. Now it's at over 500. They must have thought, Hang on, this amp, we shouldn't be selling this so cheap. Someone in marketing got a punch in the face and a P45, didn't they? And for those of you who don't know what a P45 is outside of the UK, you get sacked, okay? Um, so they've banged the price of that, but the AS301 is still a pretty very decent amp. And also on top of if you're buying them either one of them amps, one of them prospects, you're get a DAC built in as well. So, you know, if you're going to use this amp, you got to buy a DAC. Oh, bloody hell, don't want to scratch it. Got to send it back, my wedding scratch it in, right?

Jesus, so, uh, where was I? I lost track. Then I got so panicked about scratching the case, I forgot where it was, right? I was saying a DAC. So, say, for instance, now you want to run these in mono mode. It hasn't got a DAC, so you're probably going to have to get a DAC or a preamp with bass and treble controls or a DAC built-in and a headphone socket, you know, to me, all them things, right? Uh, what's that going to cost? A decent one, you can probably pick a decent one up for 100 quid, around about there. So, you're looking all in 400 quid. Now, for me personally, and some of you may disagree with me, and again, it all depends on your setup. If it's a desktop, like I said, then maybe not, but for me, I would go for a PM 607 over two of these and a DAC, personally. I don't know, but anyway, right? With that being said, let's get this connected up and then we'll

have a little sound test. Okay, here we go. So we're going to use RCA to connect them up in mono. Doesn't say in the manual whether you can use the XLR's to do mono. Maybe you can't, maybe you can't. If someone knows, let me know in the comments. Anyway, so we're going to go RCA cable, plug one in there, and then you plug the other one then in the is on the right channel, yeah. And then you plug the other one in there in the Left Channel. That's right, yeah, 'cause I'm doing it backwards. It's uh freaking me out. And you plug that one in. Now, don't make the mistake like I did the first time around. I did this was plug it into that one. You plug them both into the red ones there 'cause they're mono. Then you take your speaker cables then and just use this side here. So minus and plus there the top. You take this one here and again just use that side there. Can you see it there? This side here plug

that in there like that Dink and Dink and that is now ready to rock and roll like you know right. Let's have a look where you need to be on the front okay right. The first thing you need to do is set it from XLR to RCA job done. Then you want to set it from stereo to mono ploop and ploop. Now and I think it was the IMA was it IMA a07 Maxes you could do in mono. I think there was them ones now. What I found was best was to put each mono lamp into maximum volume and then use this volume to go up and down. Just make sure when you turn it on that ain't up there when you turn your music on right. So this isn't on and then obviously you just whack it lot. Now to get these on you got to press and hold them for 3 seconds to turn on and press and hold them for 3 seconds to turn off bit weird. And also as well even though these got Triggers on the back.

which is Handy if you have them with something else with a trigger. Their own P3 doesn't have a trigger out, so I've got to turn this off when I want to turn them off, or I've turn this off, this off, and this off. Bit of a pain in the ass. Anyway, that's all done setup right. So what I want to do is hear how it sounds in monomode against my Rotel ra1, my 20-odd year-old Rotel R1. Oh, that would not be interesting, wouldn't it? So there's only one thing for it now, isn't it? A sound test. [Music] Text. [Music] [Music] [Music] Right, what do you think of that? Personally, for me, I couldn't hear a difference at all. Not really. Um, don't get me wrong, the fuzzies performed very well against the Rotel because the Rotel ra1 is a very good selling amp, in my opinion, so they performed extremely well. But it goes back to what I was

saying, Let's rewind now. For me personally, and some of you may disagree with me. And again, it all depends on your setup. If it's a desktop, like I said, then maybe not. But for me, I would go for a PM 607 over two with these and a DAC. Personally, I don't know. Oh, there may have been something in there that shouldn't have been. Anyway, anyway, right. So, you've got to weigh it up and see what setup you're going to do. Because if you're going to buy two with these and a decent DAC with a headphone socket, whatever, it's going to cost you anywhere between 350 and 400 quid in the UK. And like I said earlier in the video, you could buy an integrated amp for that. A decent one with a DAC already built-in, tone controls already, a headphone socket, etc., etc. So, I still stick by what I say, even though these are really good. Really good. Okay, I wanted to hate them, but I don't. They're very good. But I would buy an

integrated am first before I bought these. Unless I had a desktop setup, but there we are. And I also tried it not just with, through this as well. I also tried it playing some CD as well into both of them and comparing them, and again I couldn't really tell a difference. They perform just as well as each other. And don't forget, this is 80 quids. Anyway, please let me know what you think in the comment section. I'd love to know. As always, thank you so much for watching. I'll catch you in the next one. D
