There is an interesting advertisement that claims it can never tell a lie. It states that because IU has been the model for three consecutive years, it is the number one in trustworthiness among the four major department stores, and therefore it can never lie. This advertisement is for the brand Sleep & Sleep, which is known to be associated with IU. Sleep & Sleep has had IU as its model for several years, and moreover, it is a subsidiary brand of Ibis, a well-known company in the bedding industry that has been competing for the top spots for over 40 years. 

Looking at this, one might think, Could such a famous company really be lying by mentioning IU? But is that really the case? Just because IU is the model and it claims to be number one in trustworthiness, does that mean it truly cannot lie? We need to verify whether it has actually told the truth or not. Let's begin.

This advertisement is for a pillow. The name of the pillow is Deep Sleep Pillow or Ayoo Pillow. The main content of the advertisement shows that the sleeping posture is corrected. It also mentions that there is no stock and that there is a discount on the room price until midnight today. Interestingly, if you look at the date written in the advertisement, it states that there is a pre-order half-price discount until April 7, but the advertisement was launched on June 5. I found this part strange and have been keeping an eye on this company's advertisements. As a result, on June 24, there was a limited offer for the first 800 units at 50% off, then on July 10, a limited quantity of 50% off, on July 19, a limited quantity of 1,000 units at 50% off, on August 9, a celebration of selling out at half price, on August 23, a limited 50% off in the official mall, and on September 5, a Chuseok special limited 50% discount. Even after Chuseok, they are still selling at the same price, claiming it is a 50% discount event. Looking at the price tracking app, the price has not changed for several months.

It can be seen that there has been no fluctuation at all. It seems that they are deceiving consumers by marking the original selling price with a 50% discount. Moreover, what they emphasize is that their prices are 50% cheaper than those in department stores. Is this true? Oh, the pillow, oh, the pillow. Yes, there are two sizes: S and M. How much is it? 97,000 won, 93,000 won. The price of the battery is the same. It's exactly the same, exactly the same. It's absurd that they claim to be 50% cheaper than department stores, which is also not true. At this point, it seems that they can only tell lies, not that they cannot lie. Raising the price and then marking it as discounted is a common tactic, but actively using it through extensive advertising to deceive people seems to go beyond reasonable limits. The irregular sales tactics that deceive consumers by pricing and discounting could, based on Supreme Court precedents, be considered fraud. While the sales of Sleep & Slip may have significantly increased due to these months-long deceptive advertising practices, it seems that consumer complaints are also piling up. This is a comment on IU's review video. What I'm really curious about is whether a subsidiary of this bedding company would go as far as to sell pillows with such low-quality advertisements on YouTube. It seems like a ridiculous move. I also shared the same thought as this comment. I couldn't understand why a famous company would resort to such low-quality advertising, especially using a well-known celebrity, until I saw this ad. The advertisement features an interview format where IU directly experiences the product and shares her impressions. It seems like an ordinary advertisement, but...

In fact, the advertisement is a video created by inserting ads for other products into the IU 100 advertisement. Among these four scenes, only two are from the actual IU 100 advertisement, while the other two scenes are ads for products from different companies. Unless told otherwise, it is difficult to distinguish them as they are very similar. Interestingly, the product featured in this advertisement is from the Dr. Bleach ad that I recently covered. Moreover, I found that the advertising format of stacking products in a warehouse is also similar. Could this just be a coincidence? Upon searching, I found traces of an article stating that this year, Slip & Sleep signed an advertising contract with a company called Starting Wave, although it has now been deleted for some reason. So, what is this Starting Wave? Interestingly, the representative of this company shares a name with the co-representative of Dr. Bleach.

I was able to confirm that the workplace is the same building as Dr. Blit, and even the photos of the personal information are identical. This means that the Starting Wave was essentially an advertising event for Dr. Blit ES. I now feel like the puzzle is coming together as to why the Slip and Slip advertisement is so similar to Dr. Blit. What do you all think? Of course, regardless of who suggested the false advertisement and who created it, the responsibility for the approval and oversight of the advertisement lies with the client, Slip and Slip. Even if the advertising agency proposed misleading advertisements, a normal organization should have naturally rejected and not proceeded with them. Slip and Slip needs to provide a clear explanation and apology as to why they carried out such a low-quality advertisement and whether they obtained consent from the advertising model for it to be used in such a manner.

It has been four months since I first made a video about Dr. Blit. However, it is still difficult to find any official apology or explanation from Dr. Blit. Moreover, false advertising continues, especially with the recent news of a contract with Sam Hammington, along with advertisements claiming that he easily lost 15 kg in just 100 days after using Dr. Blit products. Health supplements can only provide benefits when taken in conjunction with a proper diet and exercise. Advertisements claiming that a specific product can lead to a certain amount of weight loss in a specific time frame can be considered misleading exaggeration. Additionally, the date on which it is claimed that he successfully lost 15 kg is July 25, and it states that he lost weight over 100 days starting from April 16, which is absurd, given that at that time, Sam Hammington's daily life...

Looking at the posts, it was evident that, contrary to claims of easily losing weight, there were instances of struggling hard at the gym, almost to the point of death. Therefore, it could be interpreted that Sam Hammington has directly participated in false advertising beyond just being a simple model. Even if he did lose weight, he deceived people by implying that he easily lost weight by taking Dr. Bleat's products, while in reality, he exerted himself to the utmost to lose weight. Interestingly, Sam Hammington had previously appeared in various diet programs, particularly with a diet company called Jubees, where he also claimed that losing weight was easy. Now, time has passed, and in 2024, he has gained weight again and appeared in false advertising claiming he lost weight easily.

I don't know if you received this, but at the very least, if you have a conscience, I believe you should properly explain and apologize to the consumers who trusted Sam Hammington and purchased the product for why such an advertisement was made. Additionally, I hope Dr. Blit, who created this advertisement, will officially apologize to the consumers instead of threatening to delete the video from behind the scenes. I wish all the scammers would disappear.
