ONLE Today's ONLE Good Day in Chungju. A solo trip for the first time in a while. I'm going to Chungju today! .ᐟ.ᐟ First off, I'm in a good mood because I left on schedule.

This is the city of Kim Seon-tae (the Chungju man) visiting for the first time. There are no lockers at the station, so I have to go to a nearby Lotte Mart to drop off my luggage.

It looks like Chungju Station is being rebuilt.

When I got to Lotte Mart, the luggage drop-off button wouldn't press properly lol. After dropping off my luggage, I took a taxi to do an "open run" at a Jjamppong restaurant lol.

Ttubuck-i (a walker) who hates waiting ˗ˏˋ Tangeum Banjeom ˎˊ˗ Arrived 5 minutes before opening at 11.

The place is already packed with people (o_O) I ordered the Grilled Meat Jjamppong, which seems to be the signature dish?

It'll probably take a while to come out, right? I was organizing my video, and it came out faster than I expected 😮 (Ta-da) Chili oil + smoky flavor + bean sprouts + squid + meat.

It wasn't as spicy as it looked. Maybe it's because of the meat.

I usually can't finish everything, but I ordered fried dumplings too. It was full by 11:10. I looked up reviews and saw there is a wait even on weekdays.

They only do lunch service and close when they run out of ingredients. I'm glad I came early. No waiting, good. ☘︎ The broth was refreshing and delicious with a smoky flavor.

The portion was big so I couldn't finish it all, but it was a great First meal in Chungju for a Jjamppong fanatic!

“I should visit Tangeumdae before going to the aquarium since it doesn't take long to get there from here.” I'm full, so I'll go to Tangeumdae to help with digestion.

” I looked it up and found out there is a fighter jet noise issue in Chungju.

Decided to visit Yeoldudae. It’s been a really long time since I walked a forest path on a weekday.

The cherry blossoms have all fallen, but it’s still a lovely spring. “The air is really nice.” Climbing the stairs... Arrived at Yeoldudae.

Watch out for the stairs. (The first tripod I’ve brought on a trip.) A breathtaking view of the Namhan River that clears my mind.

A tripod I will be using often from now on. Unfamiliar scenery helps clear your mind better than you might think. Whether I overthink or just don't think about it, I don't find traveling alone that boring.

I had planned to go straight to the aquarium, but it was too hot and I wanted an iced Americano, so I changed my plans and decided to go to a cafe I had found first.

(P's trip, which can change at any moment.) The arrival information wasn't showing up, so I wondered if I had to take a taxi, but the bus arrived as soon as I crossed the traffic light and got to the stop.

Butter rice cakes are still here yaaa .☘︎ ˖ Someone raved about how super delicious it was in the reviews, so I was curious.

“I’ll have two butter rice cakes first.” “I’ll have an iced Americano before I go.

” Finally, an iced Americano transfusion. Just looking at it makes it seem crunchy.

It has very little acidity and is clean. The coffee is good too 👏🏻 (As expected, iced Americanos are the best).

(Oh_oh) (They used to have a crispy one that felt like bread, but they said they only sell the chewy, rice cake-like "Kwajak" one now.) The outside is crispy and crunchy, but the inside is super chewy.

I called my younger sibling to tell them it was delicious lol.

If you go up to the 2nd floor of Lotte Mart, there is a luggage storage area. I picked up my suitcase, and the bus arrived right as I left the mart. ☘︎ ܁˖ ˗ˏˋ Baraan Hotel ˎˊ˗ I found this place because it is close to Chungju Station and relatively clean.

Is it a hotel that looks like a motel, or a motel that looks like a hotel? (I want to lie down quickly) The inside of the room is just like this.

I decided to stop by a cafe before heading to the cocktail bar. It's 2km away, a 30-minute walk, but if I stroll along and look around, I'll get there in no time~ Wow, this person seems to have a true love for plants... I hope your business prospers even more, 사장님 (owner) of Solomon Architecture 🙌🏻 The buildings in this neighborhood are the real deal too.

The cafe is spacious, with high ceilings and an open, airy feel.

Ordered a Fresh Mango Yogurt Parfait. Earned 900 points with The More card, good. The view from the 5th floor is through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Mango + Yogurt = Looking back, my dessert choice was great. This place really knows how to make yogurt. I heard there's a rooftop, so I went up; I was moved by the color of the sky on the way up.

I came at the perfect time for sunset. I saw I could go further up, so I went up to check it out.

Praise me for finding this place - the Chungju 360-degree view. I didn't run into Kim Seon-tae (Chungju Man) but I saw an amazing view. It was a little scary coming down.

I met a cat-dog hybrid as soon as I left the cafe (seriously, what am I going to do with my voice; lol).

It was so cute that I couldn't leave for a long time and barely managed to move on. I walked about 10 minutes from the cafe to the cocktail bar Mad Slow Yongsan.

I was so happy to be welcomed as soon as I walked in.

I was so distracted watching the dogs that I barely managed to sit down. Ah, but he is just so cute. There was a staff member there who said it was their last day of work today and asked if I was on vacation.

The owner of the shop next door, who was visiting, gave me a Matcha Condensed Milk Tomato as a service.

They said it's a new menu item coming out, and the matcha and tomato went really well together, so it was delicious. .ᐟ The owner came back, so we chatted, and I ordered the Orion draft beer sold at the shop next door from the owner and drank it at the bar!

They said it was fine at the bar too. So refreshing~ Feeling great~ And just like that, my 1-night trip to Chungju wraps up!?

(Patting Bello again) My steps today. Came back to the accommodation, showered, and put on a face mask 🌙🛏️💤 ˗ˏˋ Good morning ˎˊ˗ I was planning to wake up early to do a Starbucks "open run" (7 AM) and a Sundaeguk run at the market (8 AM), but I slept in really soundly.

Since I woke up late anyway, I left right on time for the 11 AM checkout.

Since I woke up late, I made a last-minute change from a 1-night stay to a 2-night stay, lol.

I was going to extend my stay at the place I originally stayed at, but the check-in times only showed up late, so I immediately booked another place nearby, left my luggage, and headed out, lol.

The owner is kind and it's close to the station! It's even hotter than yesterday; perfect weather for getting a tan.

I didn't bring sunglasses or a hat, but I'll head to the Starbucks I originally planned to go to. The bus stop name is Starbucks.

Starbucks Chungju Hoam DT Branch. It's visible right away when you get off the bus. I came to the Starbucks at Hoamji to see this view, and luckily, there was exactly one window seat left.

Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. I brought a book to read here. It's a "Blind Date with a Book" I bought last year at the Jeju bookstore Sorisomun, and I'm finally reading it. "Into a Very Old Yet New World." Thanks to those who delved into the daily lives of people of the past to faithfully answer the questions they faced during each of the twenty-four solar terms, we can salvage the wisdom to move forward into the future from the steps taken by the past.

I liked the book description too. It feels like living with the 24 solar terms in mind will fill me up somehow?

Let's do what we can, just do it! I came out to watch the 2 PM fountain show. Hoamji is great for walking, and the weather is nice, so it's even prettier.

It would be nice to take a walk in the evening, but maybe next time. Since I'm here, I made sure to watch the fountain show before leaving.

I stumbled upon this place by chance while walking; is that the Eiffel Tower? A place I enjoyed even more because I stumbled upon it by chance. ☘︎ I wanted to eat some refreshing noodles, so I got off by mistake back towards the city center and am now on my way back.
