If you're thinking about starting a YouTube channel, watch this video until the end. I was an ordinary office worker who knew nothing about YouTube, and it changed my life. I quit my job and now earn much more than my salary. If you learn properly and start now, I believe this is actually a great time to succeed on YouTube. Based on my six years of experience, I will share key tips that beginners should know when starting a YouTube channel. 

First and foremost, selecting a channel theme is crucial. Choose a clear and attractive topic that considers your interests, expertise, and the needs of your audience. For example, if you enjoy cooking, instead of a simple cooking channel, you could choose a more specific topic like easy Korean recipes for single-person households. This way, you can differentiate yourself. What’s important here is whether people are interested in this topic, rather than just focusing on what you like.

It is important to start with a topic that has high demand. How can we find topics that people are searching for? In fact, the answers are all on YouTube. Topics that generate a lot of views are the ones that people are interested in. If you want to do well on YouTube, you need to watch YouTube frequently. However, don’t just watch for fun; analyze channels that get a lot of views from the perspective of a creator.

Next, I want to emphasize the importance of consistent uploads. The YouTube algorithm prefers channels that upload content regularly. Whether it's once a week or at least once every two weeks, make sure to upload videos consistently at a pace you can maintain. Don’t forget to engage with your audience. Actively use comments and the community tab to communicate with your fans; this is key to long-term channel growth. Responding sincerely to comments and actively reflecting viewers' opinions in your content is essential.

Please show your appearance. Such efforts create loyal fans. The quality of the content is also very important. Nowadays, as many high-quality videos are being produced, beginners should not create low-quality videos just because they are new. Pay attention to clean audio, lighting, and editing. Your editing skills will naturally improve over time, so there's no need to worry too much from the beginning. There is a part that I emphasize as really important on YouTube, and that is the ability to create thumbnails and titles. You should spend time researching how to make thumbnails. No matter how well you create a video, it won’t matter if people don’t click on it. Benchmark well-made thumbnails and practice by trying to replicate them. If you still don't know what to do, using a template can also be a good approach. Use eye-catching color contrasts that are easy to read.

Using visually appealing designs that stimulate interest in the text is really important. When it comes to titles, it's crucial to create them around keywords that are likely to be searched on YouTube, as the viewing rate through YouTube searches is quite high. For scriptwriting, the first 10 to 20 seconds are key, and for shorts, the first 3 seconds are critical. If you fail to capture the viewers' attention within this time, they will quickly move on to another video. Therefore, try to place key content or interesting elements right from the start of the video to attract viewers' interest. Using tools like Claude AI to help create scripts can also be a good approach. However, there is a really important point to note: just because a channel has a lot of subscribers and views, it doesn't necessarily mean it earns a lot of money. While high view counts can lead to advertising revenue, that revenue has its limits. The key is to develop a revenue model rather than simply increasing views.

것보다는 충성도 높은 찐팬을 확보하는 게 더 중요합니다. 이를 브랜딩이라고 하죠. 1만 명의 구독자 중 50명이 여러분의 상품을 구매하는 것보다, 1,000명의 구독자 중 100명이 구매하는 것이 더 가치가 있다는 것을 기억하셔야 합니다. 단순히 영상을 올리는 것을 넘어서, 여러분만의 독특한 브랜드를 만들어 가세요. 일관된 콘텐츠, 독특한 말투와 표현 등으로 시청자들의 기억에 남는 채널을 만드세요. 마지막으로, 유튜브 시청자를 다른 플랫폼으로 모으는 것이 실질적인 수익으로 이어지는 지름길입니다. 인스타그램, 블로그, 개인 홈페이지 등으로 팬들을 유도해 여러분의 상품이나 서비스를 효과적으로 판매할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 유튜브 영상에서 블로그 링크를 공유하고, 블로그에서는 나의 노하우를 바탕으로 강의나 챌린지 등을 홍보해서 수익화하는 방법으로 연결할 수 있습니다. 이 모든 것을 한꺼번에 완벽하게 하기는 어렵지만, 점진적으로 발전해 나갈 수 있습니다.

It may be difficult, but if you take it step by step, you too can definitely create a successful YouTube channel like I did. Don't be afraid of failure; start right now. If you put in consistent effort, you will surely reap the rewards. Above all, building a habit is crucial. If you've started YouTube, try to establish a routine for your first ten videos. Once it becomes a habit, you will find a way to create content. In the beginning, I struggled with low views and found it hard to make videos every time, and I had doubts. However, after creating about ten videos, it became a habit, and I was able to continue. Of course, in the early stages, it may not be financially rewarding, so it can sometimes be tough and exhausting, but don't give up and keep moving forward.
