A resolution is about moving towards the future, saying, I will do this. On the other hand, a plan assumes that something has already been achieved and returns to the present. Saying I will become rich in the future is just talk when I feel it. If we break down this talk, there are two types. First, there are people who know how things will proceed but lack the will to act. Second, there are those who have no idea at all; they are just talking without understanding. Currently, I am running about five businesses. In my opinion, the worst type of person is someone who only talks. Talkers waste all resources. For example, there are people who are extremely late for appointments, or those who promise to deliver something by a certain date but fail to do so, or those who agree to do something and then do not follow through.

There are people who never provide any answers, or those who just send empty promises every day. However, it's not just me; most working individuals consider time to be their most valuable asset. The reason I can't focus on self-development is that I don't have the time. Because of the lack of time for handling tasks, I end up working overtime. The question of how well I can manage my time and immerse myself in my work has become an important topic in today's world for this very reason. Yet, the people who waste my most precious resource—time—are those who only talk without action. When I am around such people, I notice that they often have a tendency towards vanity. I mean, I don't feel that way right now, but...

Later on, there are many cases where people talk about things that didn't actually exist in the past or exaggerate certain facts. However, when that happens, it gradually leads to a metaphysical world, which is like entering the realm of dreams. There’s a phrase I often use during my lectures: Determination and planning are different. Do you know how they differ, Producer? Determination is about moving towards the future, saying, I will do this. On the other hand, planning is about returning to the present with the premise that you have already achieved something. Saying, I will become wealthy in the future, feels like just words to me. Instead, it should be about how you will become wealthy—what you will do today specifically. That’s what constitutes a plan, and I believe that’s what makes a person action-oriented. For example, I might say, I will invest 50 million won in a year.

In a year, I plan to earn 50 million won. When I consider the total sales and profits, my actual living expenses might leave me with very little money. However, if I aim to save 5 million won over the year, what would that look like? If I divide that by 12 months, I would need to save about 400,000 won each month, right? To save 400,000 won, considering there are 30 days in a month, I would need to spend about 10,000 won less each day. If I can manage to cut down my spending by around 20,000 won, I could comfortably achieve that goal. So, I'm thinking about whether I should save 20,000 won each day from now on or if I should just save a reasonable amount and hope to become wealthy. Saving 5 million won might be a bit difficult to become rich. Anyway, I'm just using this as an example, and those who only talk without action are just throwing around empty promises.

If you think about it, what kind of problems arise? Whether it's in marriage, friendships, partnerships in business, or working at a company, being with such people can complicate your life. You may expect this person to do something for you, to take on responsibilities, or to give you something in return, believing that they will play a significant role in your life. They might say they will, but in reality, they don’t follow through. Of course, this is a rather harsh statement. When we break it down, there are two types of people who just talk without action. First, there are those who know how things will progress but lack the will to act. Second, there are those who are completely unaware, who don’t know and just talk. Personally, I think the first group consists of bad people, while the second group consists of those who are incapable. Because I don't know what will happen in the future, I lack the will.

People who live their lives in a somewhat naive way are, in fact, quite common. They are like those who are trapped in a dream. On the other hand, people who know better but still choose not to act are truly bad individuals; they are the ones who waste other people's time. So, I want you to take a look around you and notice that such people are actually everywhere, more than you might think. This doesn't mean that you should completely avoid them. However, if you decide to share a certain part of your life with someone—whether it's through work, friendship, dating, or marriage—it's important to consider whether you can fill the gaps in that person's life with your own abilities and emotions. I just wanted to bring that point up for your consideration.
