This video presents the main ideas of the book in a limited format of 10 minutes. It is not a substitute for reading the book. Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None was one of Nietzsche's favorite creations. It is, in fact, one of the most fascinating and creative works of Western philosophy, which he wrote in 10 days in sporadic bursts of inspiration. The book has four parts, beginning with Part I: Prologue of Zarathustra. It presents the journey of the Persian prophet Zarathustra, who spends his time in solitude in the mountains for ten years and grows weary of his wisdom, beginning his descent toward humanity to teach them what he has learned. Nietzsche considered Zarathustra as the first to establish the moral system of Good and Evil, which would evolve into Judeo-Christian morality and which he aimed to demolish with his new Zarathustra. He saw it as an appropriate conclusion that his fictional Zarathustra would be the one to dismantle the moral system initiated by the real Zarathustra. On his way down, he encounters an old saint in the forest who once loved humanity but became sick of its imperfections and now loves only God. After parting ways, he announces his famous declaration: Could it be possible? This old saint has not heard in his forest that God is dead! Upon reaching the nearest village, he heads to the marketplace where he preaches to the successor of God: the Überm

Of the Earth: Man is something that must be overcome. Man is a rope stretched between the animal and the overman - a rope over an abyss [...] What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not a goal: what is charming in man is that he is a surpasser and a descent. The original German text contains a wealth of wordplay. For example, the descent of Zarathustra, or untergang, is contrasted with his overcoming, ubergang. In other words, the overcoming of oneself involves a descent. Nietzsche's übermensch, or overman, evokes this surpassing. However, people do not understand it and burst into laughter. Zarathustra suggests that humanity is becoming increasingly docile and domesticated, and soon will only be able to engender the Last Man, the most despicable. Those who are all equal, like herd animals, who enjoy simple pleasures and mediocrity, fear anything too dangerous or extreme. The last men believe they have invented happiness and ask Zarathustra to transform them not into the overman, but into the last man. Meanwhile, the crowd focuses on a tightrope walker who begins to walk (this represents humanity balancing over an abyss, making slow and dangerous progress between the animal and the overman). Suddenly, a jester appears behind him, causing the tightrope walker to fall to the ground and die. The jester symbolizes Zarathustra, an unann

The Übermensch and the death of God are among his most important teachings. Nietzsche first wrote God is dead in section 108 of The Gay Science, the book he wrote before arriving at Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It is often misunderstood. It refers to a historical event in response to the decline of Christianity with the Enlightenment that brought scientific rationality. This represents a crisis in existing moral values, which opens the possibility for nihilism. The Übermensch is meant to be the solution to nihilism; by conquering it, he is the meaning we must give to our lives. He places all his faith in himself and does not depend on anything else. The rest of part 1 is followed by twenty-two discourses delivered by Zarathustra to his group of disciples. Some notable ideas include live dangerously, creating one's own meaning, and the introduction of the will to power. The will to power is the fundamental component of human identity. Everything we do is an expression of self-actualization (becoming who you really are) that can sometimes take the form of a will to power. It is a psychological analysis of all human action. In contrast to living for procreation, pleasure, or happiness, the will to power summarizes all of man's struggle against the environment that surrounds him, as well as his reason for living in it. Essentially, it is the main driving force of human beings. Over all these discourses looms Zarathustra's

A particularly important speech is On the Three Metamorphoses. There are three stages of progress toward the Übermensch: the camel, the lion, and the child. The spirit first becomes a camel, but not everyone can become a camel. There are many heavy things for the spirit, things that weigh upon us. A camel requires that we be greater than ourselves, and that requires some sacrifice: strength longs for the heavy. Therefore, we must exercise self-discipline and give up our comforts. Then one can become the lion, one who wants to take freedom but faces the most powerful of dragons, on all scales of which there is a rule, every Thou shalt compiled since the beginning of time: the lion must fight and oppose the dragon, saying I will and uttering the sacred No. However, the lion lives in rebellion; it must still undergo a final and ultimate transformation, becoming the child. “The child is innocence and forgetfulness, a new beginning, a game, a self-propelling wheel, a first movement, a sacred yes.” The child is the act of a new creation. In this way, it can create its own values, paving the way for the Übermensch. The final speech returns to the death of God and the necessity for the Übermensch to give meaning to the earth; Zarathustra praises man so full of strength and well-being that he bestows gifts upon others because he must do

Zarathustra not only refers to the death of God, but he also states at the end: All gods are dead, now we want the Übermensch to live; may this be our last will one day at the great midday! Nietzsche's task was monumental; he called it the Revaluation of All Values, in which he seeks to offer an alternative to traditional values in the absence of a divine order and to avoid nihilism, so that human beings stop looking towards a supernatural realm and begin to recognize the value of this world. Nietzsche uses the metaphor of an open sea, which can be both stimulating and terrifying. The people who eventually learn to recreate their lives will represent a new stage in human existence, the Übermensch. In Part II, Zarathustra takes on a more dramatic character, and many of the chapters involve action. There is a very expanded recapitulation of the theme God is dead and the reintroduction of the Übermensch as the successor to God. He expresses pity and nausea for humanity and the need to transcend it, attacking organized religion. There are also several critiques of contemporary culture, contemplative life, and the pursuit of pure knowledge. Chapter 18, titled Of Great Events, is a dramatic turning point in the book. A discourse on revolution and anarchism aligns with an unusual action and a fantastic story told by sailors. Zarathustra's disciples barely listened to his speech; we are

of their anxiety to repeat the story of sailors, see the alter ego of Zarathustra flying through the air, shouting, “It is time! It is already time!” “Time for what?” Zarathustra wonders when he hears this. The answer (currently suppressed but from now on never absent from his mind) is: “It is time to declare the Eternal Return.” This concept appeared earlier in The Gay Science under the title “The Heaviest Weight,” and it could be described as the event for which the entire book exists. The afterlife is the same as this life. But if everything repeats eternally, this includes the small things in man. Faced with this thought, Zarathustra becomes so ill that he cannot rise, eat, or drink for seven days. After this period, he leaves his disciples in a state of deep misery, and this time for good. In Part III, for the most part, Zarathustra is alone and speaks to himself. The last four chapters of this part contain the climax of the book. Zarathustra stands up and accepts the eternal return: he becomes one who says yes, loving life as it is. This shows an acceptance of fate, or amor fati, a defining characteristic of the overman. As a solitary man, he speaks to his own soul, to the life he feels within him, and to himself in his future reincarnation; the son he wishes to have for “eternity” is himself.

From the instruction of Zarathustra, they become aware of their insufficiency. Zarathustra returns to the world and gathers a large number of followers, to whom he preaches his teachings about the Übermensch, eternal recurrence, and the will to power. And then he dies. These are the main concepts of the book. However, there is still much to learn: it is a book that holds so much wisdom and life advice that it should be regarded as a life book, one that should be revisited frequently. It speaks about virtue, how to live life, how to be a creator of values, to dance and sing, how to live dangerously, to rise and use your own legs, to become an individual who affirms life, and much more.
