Hi Moana Exiles, welcome to another Path of Exile video. In this video, we are going over the most important thing that you can do to set yourself up for success in PoE Settlers of Calgar. And it's one thing that a lot of people usually tell you not to do. They tell you it's a new league, there's a new mechanic, don't touch that new mechanic. Rush straight to Maps, don't interact with it, it's not going to be worth it. Well, for the first time in quite some time, even though I always do all the new league mechanics and have fun trying them out, this league mechanic Settlers of Kelgar is the best league mechanic to interact with on your way to Maps and probably beyond. Now, you might be thinking, Wow, TR's totally lying to me here. He doesn't even have a character beyond level two, his city isn't built up at all, I don't see any of the fancy buildings. He's just sitting here chasing chickens around trying to sell me something that he

doesn't know anything about well that's not actually true my hardcore character died in Act 10 yesterday. And as someone who played for 12 hours straight and used the mechanic a ton and all of its various facets, I can tell you that it is incredibly powerful. And only really due to two things in my perfectly expert opinion. And those two things involve Fus the finer and Tuan the ship Master. Okay, we're going to talk about Fus first. But before we do, I'm going to press B, which is my inventory button. And I'm going to hover over the most important new mechanic in Path of Exile. And that is gold. It says it's used as current in Kings March. But oh my goodness, this thing is empowering players to progress their characters at a faster rate and at a smoother rate than ever before in Path of Exile. And as someone who is not a blaster, I really appreciate it. All of my big upgrades came through the use of gold, whether that was through Fus right

here and something that I don't necessarily have access to right now. Because this is my new softcore character, it's the black Market. It's gambling for items. I know, I know, gambling bad, right? Gambling bad in real life. I never gamble in real life. You can ask my wife. I never do it. Not in casinos, not with sports, not with gaming, nothing. No gambling. But in Path of Exile, well, that's a different story. Because yesterday, I had more than enough gold to upgrade my town, pay all of my workers, which is very important by the way. You need to pay your workers a fair minimum wage. And in addition to that, I was able to gamble away my coins and I got rad upgrades for not only my weapon, my armor, my boots, my gloves. A rad Shield. I was getting amazing rares. I mean, all the rares that you're getting from Fus if they're not magic items that aren't too great, they are well rolled rares and they will help skyrocket your build into maps and probably beyond maps too.

Fus guy is what we've been looking for for quite some time. From rares on the ground, he's providing us with items for a gold fee that are actually usable by our characters, and I really like that. As someone who's not a master crafter and I'm not able to quickly analyze whether item a that I'm currently equipping is better than items b, c, d, and e that I just picked up off the ground, when I'm sitting here I have a little bit of time to chill, look through the items that I'm gambling, picking out the specific bases, I'm really able to upgrade really easily, and I do like the laid-back fashion in which you're a to do this. We're going to take a look at the second aspect right now that you should get on right away, and it also involves gold, but before we do, I'm going to run over here. Has anybody noticed you can chase the chickens and that there is

a random banana here. Bananas exist in Path of Exile and in Ray class. That is confirmed everybody. Now we're going to run over to the next most important people after CH chasing around some chickens right here. Some seagull causing them to fly away. And that is Tusan, the Harbor Master. You want to get this going instantly, everyone. When you log into the game, when you kill Hillock and you go to Lioneye's Watch, you want to talk to Johan. You want to come here, get your mining going, and as soon as you have some resources to trade, you want to go to Tuan and begin sending off your shipments to various settlements. Because that then passively is going to be sending a bunch of awesome items your way. Now we don't exactly know all the mechanics behind shipments and what resources you should ship to get certain items and what the perfect metrics and numbers are. But we do know that if you send stuff to other islands and the shipment comes back in 40 minutes.

hour 2 hours you are most likely to get upgrades from that shipment. Once again just like fess's black market you are getting well-rolled rares. Here you are getting valuable currency items and a lot of people on their very first shipment were getting unique items that were awesome for leagues start. I was seeing gold rims, Wanderlust, and More in these shipments. It's very powerful, and if you're just starting out today or you're making a new character and you want to make sure they're outfitted with strong gear, you need to make sure that you start up your relationship with Tuan and get your ships sailing away to the various Islands. So in conclusion, everyone, the most important new mechanic in Path of Exile today is gold. It enables people like myself who aren't Masters at deciding which items to pick up off the ground and which items I should use and which items I should drop. It just enables us to come here, chill, look at a merchant, which actually is surprisingly fun, and gamble for some.

items or just look at a screen full of items from Tuan here and decide which ones work best for our character. I think it's something that's been missing in Path of Exile for quite some time now that I'm thinking about it. And this whole city-building mechanic is really relaxing. You can sit here and while you're sitting here, even though all of your passives are ongoing, your workers are doing things. You can also make quite a bit of a difference here, whether you're looking through items from Tuan, whether you're gambling at Fus, whether you're here at rag disenchanting items, or you're over at the forge with Danig and Rune crafting and putting those powerful enchantments on your items. There's a lot that can be done here, and already on day two of this league, I think I'm going to say I want this to go core in some fashion. It would be very difficult to go core, I think, because of how powerful it is and how almost necessary it would be to be added into the

core gameplay loop of Path of Exile. Because if you weren't participating in King's March and building up the town and chasing chickens and looking for bananas and really building up your people here, you would be missing out. You can't say that about Delve. You can't say that about Heist. But here, with the way King's March is currently designed, even though it's incredible, I'm a little skeptical on how it can transition into the core game. What are your thoughts? town starting from scratch because as you see, I have absolutely nothing after building up to a T6 town yesterday. That's okay. I'll be able to do it. It's not a problem.
