I want to get an update on the theatrical production. Well, this year we're doing The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. I'm very familiar with the story and the adaptations. Have you cast the leads yet? Well, yes, I have a great-looking couple: Regina Jones and Chase Williams. Are you familiar with them? Why, yes, in fact, Chase has been in some of the detentions that I've had to moderate. And it wasn't Regina kicked out of glee in her freshman year because she couldn't sing? Well, I don't know about Chase's behavior, but I do know that Regina has a great look and a lot of room to improve. Well, you know, Mary, our new assistant principal, came from Wilson Junior High, and she says that Mayumi starred in all of the theatrical productions for two years and says she's a fantastic singer.

I'm not sure it's very prince-like. But we'll see. Really? I could do Prince. And Chase, I think you had a nice audition. I think we can tweak it in places, but yes, very promising. So for the prince's understudy, we have Filipe Oh understudy. Great. And for the lead role of the prince is Chase. Yes. Nailed it! OK, can Charlotte, ReGina, and Malumee come to the stage? Break a leg. You woo. Thanks. I don't want any broken legs. And now for the role of The Little Mermaid, we have Charlotte, Regina, and Meowmi. No, it's pronounced ma-you-me, Mayume. Yah yah yah, Mayomee, whatever. Now for Charlotte. Nice job. I'm not sure what you were singing. I couldn't really understand you.

So you will be cast as the second understudy for The Little Mermaid. Now for Regina. I really appreciate your theatricality. We can work on the notes a little bit, but it shows promise. Well, yes, it does, doesn't it? Now for Mayumi. Singing was good. I just wasn't getting that mermaid vibe. No problem. I can dive right into it. Now for the understudy of the Little Mermaid, we will have Mayumi. And for the lead role of The Little Mermaid, we have Regina. Like there was the question. Congratulations to those who made the starring role. And to those understudies, you will get the parts. Should the lead get sick. So be ready. Seems like Ms. Craston casts people solely on what they look like. You wanted to see me, Mr. Peterson? Oh, yes, Becky, thank you for coming in.

Principal Peterson, you wanted to see me? Yes. I just got done watching that play. It actually turned out pretty good. I'm just trying to understand why you started Regina and Chase in the lead characters in this thing. I tried to say before, but we can't just have any old person playing the prince and the Little Mermaid. Are you saying those parts aren't available to all students based on ability? Well, of course, all students that look the part. In this day and age, we're inclusive. We don't decide who gets a role based upon their look. Well, you know, the story is written by Hans Christian Andersen in Denmark. Well, we're not in Denmark, but you might be. Well, I don't have any plans to go there. And besides, spring break is not till April. Well, you might as well make plans because you don't work here anymore.
