hi everyone. I hope everyone's doing well. Today, I'm going to be doing a video about why you cannot get the perfect Dumbo and why I'm struggling to find a good dumb phone. It's just a video about me kind of like ranting about the fact I can't find a dumb phone that I want to use. Um, and so I'm kind of, I've got a list here, and I'm going to be going through different ones that I've looked at and why I don't want to use them. And so this is kind of more of a video for me to want to rant about and two for people who know more about different types of dumb phones because I'm not gonna like explain what they are. I'm just gonna say this is the phone, and then this is why I don't want to get it. Um, so we don't know the different types of foam, and it won't really make sense. There we go, I've got my list. Okay, so the reason you can never have the perfect dumb phone.

is because you will never have a phone that's specific to your needs or a phone that is made specifically for your needs, right? And so you're never gonna get a phone that is, you know, has a good keyboard, that like has WhatsApp and has Spotify and Google Maps, but doesn't have anything else, or one that has WhatsApp but, you know, has this and this and doesn't have something else. And so you have two options: you have customize and compromise. So with customize, you can get a phone that might have an app store, you can put all the apps onto it that you need, that's customizing the phone to suit your needs. So like, you could get a smartphone and then dumb it down, and that's customizing it, right? Compromising would be getting a phone that doesn't have what you need and just learning to work around it. Um, and there's a really good Reddit, um, subreddit. I don't, I'm still learning how to use Reddit. Anyway, in the dumb thing Reddit, there's like a thing about why you can't find the perfect dumb phone.

it's very interesting. I'll link in the description. Um, and so I'm kind of, yeah, so you for me. Um, as you probably know, I've been using the Nokia 6300 4G, and I've switched back to my smartphone. So the simple reason that the keypad doesn't work. And so texting is very important to me. I need to be able to contact people, and sometimes I don't want to have to phone them. Sometimes I just want to send them a quick little text, and I can't do that because it often skips a key. And I've said this multiple times, you know, if I press it twice, it will skip, you know, like here. If I press it twice, it might go to C instead of to B. And it is just, yeah, it's also just like a kind of cheap. I feel like it's gonna fall. It's not cheap. It looks cheap. It was cheap. And so all I'm looking for is a phone, a dumb phone that has WhatsApp, that doesn't have a bad keypad. And for some reason, I

can't find any that's available in my country that I can actually buy that isn't really expensive, and I actually know will work in the long run. And so, yeah, I want to be able to have a phone I can have when I move to college, and that I'm not going to be on my smartphone often, you know. Um, yeah, so the other side is dumb phones that I will not buy. So, the first one is the Cat S22. Now, is it really a smartphone? Wait, is it a dumb phone? Probably not, because it has a touchscreen, it has loads of smart apps, and it does have a T9 keyboard, which means you're not going to reach for your phone as often. So, I get it, and I really actually, I really wanted to get it because I thought it would help, you know, just not be scrolling on my phone as much. But you can't get it in the UK, and it's such a shame because I was like, I was gonna get it, and I can't. So, the next one is the AGM M7.

um, so this is also a rugged phone like the cat s22. And although it was big and bulky like I like, one thing that I do like about the Nokia 6200 4G is that it's thin. Well, you know, it's small enough I can put it in a pocket. And especially being a woman, like pockets are either non-existent or they're very small. And so this fit nicely in bags and pockets and stuff. And if you get a rugged phone, it's going to be thicker. And I was like, okay, that's fine, I'm gonna ignore that. And the AGM M7 has pretty much everything that I wanted on a phone. But if you get, okay, so the phone is made in China, China. And because of that, the new AGM m7s have Tick Tock already installed. And you can't uninstall it because the phone doesn't have an app store. And so I refuse to buy a phone that has tick tock on it because I'm really against Tick Tock for so many

different reasons I despise it, and it's okay. I think it's probably spyware conspiracy, but um, yeah. I refuse to buy a phone that has TikTok already installed because why is it there, and why can you not uninstall it? Like, that's a bit suspicious. So, the next one on my list is the Nokia 2720v flip, and I might actually buy this one. I haven't fully decided. I'm just Marvel. It's unavailable on the Nokia website, which is a shame because I was gonna buy it. Um, I would prefer not to have a flip phone, but if that's the only phone available, I will get a flip phone. It's not the end of the world. Um, the other thing is I don't know how it is in the long run because it's basically a 6300 but a flip version, from what I've my is my understanding. I just want a keypad that doesn't stop being, that doesn't, yeah, it's not working. Um, so yeah, next one, the Doro 70 30.

it sounds really petty, but I don't want it. It's like a phone for the elderly. I don't want people to think that I look stupid. I don't know, I just don't want a phone that's like that simple. I just want like, and they're like expensive as well, especially if the phones that don't have many features to it. It's yeah, it just seems really expensive for what it is, and I just don't want one. So next, we have the Nokia 8110. If you know this phone, it looks like a banana. You get a yellow one, and you get a black one, and I refuse to have a phone that looks like a banana. I don't want to go to college and be known as that girl that has the banana phone. But not only that, the keypad, when I was looking at it, looks exactly the same as this one, and so I don't want a phone that's exactly the same as this that just looks like a

banana like you know, so I don't want to get that one. Um, the next one that's on here is the TT phone, TT 240, and my little brother has this damn phone. Um, and I just, I've just had really bad reviews about it, and I don't know how it is in the long run. Um, and it's just apparently the company is just really bad, and the phones kind of suck. And so I don't want to get a phone and then it be rubbish in the future. And so what I had finally decided on was to get the Nokia 800. Sorry, the Nokia 800 tough. Um, and I really wanted this one. Um, and it's not available anywhere. I can't find it. It just isn't on the website. You can't get it on Amazon. Um, yeah, so that's pretty much like a list of phones and why I don't want to use them. Um, the chickens are being loud. Um, yeah, so I don't know what I'm gonna do. I think for now, I'm just gonna dumb down my

smartphone. I don't like being on my smartphone. I don't know if anyone else feels like this, but I feel like when I'm on my phone, it's like already pulling me in. I feel like my brain is getting like sucked into it, and I just don't like the feeling of being on a phone because it feels addictive, and I want to go on apps, and I want to scroll, and I don't want that, which is why I want a phone that has a keypad so I don't have a touch screen because you can't scroll um if it's difficult to you know navigate um so yeah that's pretty much why I can't find the perfect damn phone. And if anyone has any suggestions for phones that have WhatsApp work in the UK and that I can actually buy, then feel free to leave suggestions, but um yeah thank you for watching.
