I'll be demonstrating to you how you have to attempt read aloud in your actual test so that you can get a full score in speaking and in Reading as well. What I'll be covering in this video is at what speed you have to speak, where you have to pause, how you have to improve your clarity, and if you're using online strategy how you have to use it. I'll be sharing my screen, I will do a few readal outs for you, and will give you a clear idea of what are the things you should be taking care of when you attempt your test so that you can get a full score. Let's get into the video, let's see how we go. I'll share my screen and then you can leave all the doubts you have in the comment section. Now this is how your screen is going to look like in the test, right. You'll have 35 seconds.

Worst case, if there's an extremely difficult word which you don't know how to pronounce, but read aloud, you can skip one or two words. It'll be fine, no issues at all. Now I'll be demonstrating how you have to use one-line strategy in read aloud. One-line strategy can be used by anyone. It will give you full points in speaking and reading. Doesn't matter if you're for band six, band seven, or band eight, you can use it. I recently took the test to check a few things. In speaking, I used one-line strategy, and I got my desired scores. So, it is still working, but it is very important that you know how you have to use one-line strategy. Let me share

my screen again, and then we'll go from there. Now let's say if this is your passage right in exam, you'll not have this option. This is just for our practice portal. In exam, you'll not need to select between normal and online strategy. You can simply, you know, speak online strategy, and it will be marked accordingly. But, if you have to practice and see how you're going in this, you just switch from normal to online strategy mode, and it will be all right. Now in online strategy, what is the condition? What are the circumstances? The circumstances are that you have to just speak 8 to 12 words. You don't have to speak the whole passage, but these 8 to 12 words should be clear. Plus, you cannot skip words here. You cannot skip words here. It's not that you're reading nine words, and two words are not clear. So let's say, I'm not really sure how to pronounce this word, right? I'm not really sure how I have to pronounce this word. It's gray, gr. I'm not

really sure. Let's say if this is the case with you as well, so what you can do is you can start anywhere. It's not that you have to start after a full stop or from the first sentence. You can start from anywhere. Let's say we'll start from here. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. I'll just stop here, okay? Before your recording starts, you have to make sure you know where you have to stop. And extremely adaptable species and is one of those animal species. That's all you have to do. And straight away you have to click on the next button. This might sound strange to you that how is it even going to work, but it does. We advise all our students to do this. I have tried this in January 2024. It has worked for me. And if you follow it properly, will be fine. I'm repeating again, your words should be clear. It's not that you're reading 10 words and five words are incorrect or

you're not speaking words clearly. You can go slightly slower, but clarity should be there. And if you are speaking clearly, you will be 100% fine. To see if one-line strategy is actually working for you or not, you can just try this online strategy mode. Um, you know, and see how much scores you are getting. For example, if I move on to the next one, I'll just switch here. Um, I, I'm okay. I'll start from one, two from here. Right, it is an affirmation that an athlete is disciplined enough. I'll just stop here. It is an affirmation that an athlete is disciplined enough. Just need to speak this. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. I've spoken ten words. I spoke clearly. Another thing a lot of students do, um, you know, are not really sure about. They think that they cannot pause anywhere if they're speaking or they're using one-line strategy. You can take a slight pause if there's a comma. There's a connect or

there's a short phrase you can take a slide pause in on line strategy as well. It's not about your speed. It's about moderate speed, and more emphasis should be placed on Clarity. If your words are not clear, you're not going to get the score minimum of eight words. Maximum 12, 13 words are fine, but don't speak too much, and make sure you cannot skip any word in here. It's not that you're speaking this way, it is, and that an athlete is enough to have perspective. You cannot skip words if you're using one L strategy, but if you're using normal, you can Skip One or two words. Again, this option will not be available in the test. In the exam, you simply do whatever way you want to um perform or attempt, and computer is going to Mark accordingly. But if you want to practice, you can just register on language academy.com um come to practice material, read out, switch between these strategies, and see which one's working better for you, and go from there. made clear made it clear for you that how you have to do and what are the things you need to avoid in read aloud online strategy. And while attempting read aloud task in the test, I'll summarize again to improve your clarity. Take appropriate pauses. It's not that you can only pause at full stop. You can take a slight pause at full stop, at commas, at connectors. If there's no full stop, no comma, no connector, you can take a slight pause after a short phrase as well. That is going to improve your clarity. One thing second, if you're reading a full passage, you can skip one or two words which are extremely difficult to pronounce. But if you're using one L strategy, you have to read a minimum of eight words, maximum 12, 13 words, and you have to focus on speaking clearly. You cannot skip any of these two words. Read aloud is a very important task because this is going to give you a lot of points in speaking and reading. And doesn't matter if you're using one line.
